  1. That's the one thing in our favour at the moment regarding contracts (that we can't influence); McGhee's days are numbered. Aberdeen are at a bit of a cross-roads, and have to decide to fully back the eejit next season, or cut their losses and bring in a new manager. That bit of indecision could be crucial.
  2. By all accounts McGhee was also at the Morton game, along with Billy Reid, Gus McPherson and, for some reason, Paul Hartley. Foran, Hayes and Rooney all have their personal reason's to stay, it depends whether they decide to risk that for bigger money.
  3. Apparently it was mentioned in passing to a fan by Johnny himself when he was out and about. Heard the story at work the day, and thought it was my duty to enlighten the masses. Didn't want to mention it on the ICT section as it is a rumour at this stage.
  4. Apparently the wee man has a contract offer from St Johnstone on the table, and he's waiting until the end of the season before making a decision. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Johnny does move on, I hope to god he doesn't (and I'm sure he appreciates that we've given him his first opportunity in football). I thought he could have moved on to a more secure club than St Johnstone though.
  5. Division 1 champions, just to get it right up Chick Young and Billy Dodds, and prove everyone wrong again. Wonder if there will be any more hat-eating?
  6. There's no comparing; we beat a Celtic team filled with genuine class players, and then a team who had beaten Liverpool a few days earlier; County beat a team who a few weeks earlier had been beaten 4-0 by St Mirren, and their big sub to change the match was Paddy McCourt.
  7. I was in the Gretna end when they were relegated, it's just a case of being able to take it if you give it out. I'd expected County fans to celebrate us getting relegated, it's the way it should be. Rivalry, but no bigotry involved.
  8. We are halfway to the title. Massive win, proof that even if it does go down to the final game, which it won't, then we have the bottle to pull through.
  9. I'd never support County, but it's always good to see some unhappy weegies. I'm extremely jealous of County, the fact they will play in a Scottish Cup Final before us grates, as does the probability of them being in Europe. But then we'll be back in the SPL, and we can over-write any history County have made.
  10. My prediction is that we'll win the title (if all goes to plan) in between Dunfermline and Ayr. We'll beat the Pars, and County + Dundee will lose away to Queens/Raith in midweek, handing us the title. One celebratory away day, and then unfurling the flag at home to Dundee. Or we lose to QOS, and it all goes downhill.....
  11. Looks like this Saturday will be the defining game of our season. If we win, the next 2 games after are 6 points. Dundee can/will drop points away to Partick, and County have to play away to Morton three days after getting mauled by Celtic. Dundee and Ross County play Morton away and Airdrie away respectively the week after while we have home to the Pars with Munro and Cox missing.
  12. Even better. Possibly both teams out of it, but I won't write off County until it's mathematically impossible for them to catch us.
  13. As long as Duncan's back, our midfield should survive. Worrying that Granty's out. And now Proctor (a much better midfielder) will be pitted against Gibson, and could get ripped a new one. Eagles can put in shift through the middle. Out wide he doesn't have the pace or strength, but playing through the middle with Duncan could work. He's got an eye for a pass, and Duncan can provide the grit.
  14. If it turns out that we feck it up in the next couple of games, and then we really need to go for it, we should change to a 4-3-3. At the minute we are playing cracking football, and look the most comfortable team in the league.
  15. Well it seems to have worked so far.... Our success stems from when Butcher settled on a regular team, and a regular formation (4-5-1 turning to 4-3-3 with Foran and Hayes pushing up when necessary). Why change something when it aint broke.
  16. It was good, but it wasn't that good! An overhead kick in the last seconds of a match, scored by Richie Foran, to keep ICT at the top of the league by 4 points? Definitely the greatest goal in the history of football. No exaggerations from me.
  17. Just as I remembered it, cracking finish from Foran. Pity they had to celebrate in front of the main stand, but that goal just about sums up our season.
  18. Using the same template as others - Both Sanchez and Odhiambo are completely new to the 1st division, and are adjusting well - FACT Without either player ICT would not be in the position we are now - FACT Both players offer something different to the team - FACT Odhiambo has a cracking goal celebration - FACT All 4 reasons why both players are and continue to be important to ICT.
  19. As ridiculous as it sounds, is there any way that mods can close these threads down? Dundee, County, QoS fans will love reading this if we feck it up. I have full belief in the team, but you can never account for pure luck. There does seem something irresistible about the way we are playing though.
  20. Although we missed Duncan, Cox was shuperb again today. His tackling, workrate and commitment was great, even when he was booked and had a chance of being sent off. He looks as though he is back to his old form at the start of the season. Maybe Rangers will take a second look......
  21. One of the greatest goals I have ever seen. Richie is class, an inspiration to everyone else in the team. Waiting for the highlights now, didn't catch what the celebration was about, did they all run towards Butcher or was it just the main stand? That performance was what we needed today. Raith are a better team than 8th place, ICT faced a bigger challenge today getting all three points than we did against County. Thank god for Foran, Rooney and Hayes. As cracking as that game was today, I'll miss them once we are promoted (hopefully this season but there's no guarantee). If that match was in the SPL it would be raved about for weeks, but they happen every week in the 1st.
  22. Hope the players and the new messiah Butcher realise that they are only a couple of games from being enemy number one again, despite what people say. I have full faith that they won't throw it away though, there's something about the team at the moment; like the old days when we seemed capable of anything.
  23. Surely there would have been over 6,000 tickets already sold for the game? Wouldn't imagine many people would simply not go after they've bought their way in.
