  1. decent game of football for those who were there. Maybe the marathon/the fact that we haven't been very good recently/it was on tv reduced the crowd, but those same people will be first in line for a final ticket. Esson by far mom. Foran really came into his own late on but faded at times due to being marked by watt, who is a really good defender. Certainly makes up for that ginger gadgie, best moment of the game when he whacked the ball into his own face. Great to be in a fiinal and i hope that even though very few turned up on sunday we get a big following through to perth. If not then we might as well just give up.
  2. The big worry for me is that ict is letting the elder majority of the crowd over-rule the next generation. Ict have worked hard to get the youth through the gates, only for instances like this to force them out again. Section g is the next generation. If the club and fellow fans (see the ridiculous mainstander) influence them to stay at home then its a sad day.
  3. Nah it is the other way round, people on here get big headed and think that the know it all, and then some others join the bandwagon. One minute its all about the win over morton then its all about the poor performance against airdrie/partick. It only takes one small incident to rock the boat and then theres a campaign on the go again. Every time just a slightly different issue and culprit. Not saying that there are no problems with the team at the moment but people need a little patience and partiality.
  4. Cheers for the replies. I'll force myself to the eastgate and try to buy a top up. Did try to get the store locater up but my dongle would only let me view payment pages, didn't think of trying to use my nokia to look it up. Personally 3 are pretty good, think the reason this error is happening for me is because i had to fiddle with the laptops settings to get the music transfer working with my phone. You get a good reception wherever you are in the highlands, tbh even if it is just the one bar its still quite fast.
  5. Ran out of credit a while back on my mobile broadband, and i've been trying to top up since. However when i try to do it through the website, i get a message sayiing that the service is unavailable. Tried phoning 3 last night, spent a ridiculous 52 minutes speaking to someone who didn't have a clue (i work at capgemini and i know when call/service centre workers are making it up as they go along). Did get told that there is a top up shop in town somewhere but he didn't give me that address. Anyone any ideas about how to top up/where that shop is? Then maybe i could get round to writing a match report without painstakingly typing it up on my phone....
  6. right, we need to get back to supporting our team. The atmosphere at any game this season will not top the pars game. And this sunday will either be the shot in the arm that the team needs or the nailin the coffin of our season (maybe premature).
  7. If the results continue and if this topic does spark any confrontation/arrests in the derby on sunday, i suspect that it won't be long before some long awaited proper action started against the men behind the shambles.
  8. Georgie, munro is our best player, best defender and our best leader (maybe with the exception of roscoe). Foran so far has scored one goal and has moaned his way through every match. Just cos he's a loudmouth does not mean he would be a good captain. Foran also has no connection with the fans. Munro on the other hand is a local lad and an ict supporter. There is no contest. Back on topic. We were pish.
  9. In regards to georgieos, foran is in no way fit to lead that team. Munro imo has been a cracking captain so far in the 1st division. Mom against the pars and defending very well in every match so far. Dunno if you noticed, you might have done as i suspect that you sit pretty close to myself, but munro was the only player berating the rest of the defence for the first goal. Foran was already half way up the park. Maybe i just hold grudges for too long, but the shift he put in up front against morton was shocking, even more so after travelling to that hellhole and spending a small fortune doing so. I seem to remember the days when every player in the caley team put in a shift no matter what, is it butcher or brewsters fault that this is no longer the case?
  10. The scoreline at the end of the match was in no way representative of the overall performance from the team today. from the start we looked like we were going to be second to every ball, and it continued like that for the rest of the match. Even when we were just 1 goal away froma good point we didn't grab hold of the game and every de.ivery into the box was poor. The only plus from the entire game was that rooney made a big impression when he came on and hayes was at his best again. As for foran being captain, dont make me laugh. Anyone who saw his pitiful display last week would realise that every challenge he makes is a token one and he doesn't have half the leadership qualities that munro has. Moment of the match: lionel coming on to a good reception and the good old 'he's here he's there'. Then proceeding to give the ball away with his first touch.
  11. Not to mention there will also be the irn-bru bus at the game today: free wee bru's at the end of the game!
  12. time for rooney to step up to the plate. he could easily replace foran up front and is a better option than barrowman.
  13. just collected my n97 from the shops today, using it to post on this right now. seems to be meeting my expectations so far.
  14. when andy came on he at least showed a bit of effort. Foran was getting a bit of stick from the crowd, and deservedly so. he needs to show a bit more commitment to impress anyone, he can't rely on the fact that he 'used to be an spl player'.
  15. yep read plenty of disparaging reviews, but i won't be too bothered by the small faults that usually come with a new range. as long as the software doesn't go kaput then i'll be ok. looking forward to the pat on the back though.
  16. thats it, just ordered the nokia n97. arrives in the shop on wednesday. if its poor then i'm blaming you lot.
  17. Really believed going into this one we would just sweep airdrie aside. Beating Morton away seemed proof enough that we could dispatch of the smaller teams, even with a long distance away day. Airdrie were the better team throughout. We just about created two chances the entire game, one which we scored. They simply passed us and outfought us off the park. The short passing game, and trying to keep possession no matter what, these tactics disappeared. Foran has to be dropped. Even if he was the best player in division one, anyone who clearly cannot be bothered should be punted as soon as. For him to put on a show like that for the 150/200ish fans who turned up and travelled a 350 mile round trip to see the team is disrespectful. His entire performance consisted of him half-attempting to get onto a pass, not chasing the ball once he had been dispossessed, then turning round and finding someone to gesture and moan at. Time for rooney/barrowman to step up.
  18. i'll be there. ?40 for a single to glasgow <_<
  19. aye cheers for the replies. having a look at the nokia n97, does look good, and it does seem perfect to hold different types of media. i'll keep looking though, won't rush into this one...
  20. over the last few days i have been mulling over the thought of getting a blackberry. to anyone with any experience of a blackberry, are they any good? i would be looking for one with 'unlimited' internet access, the reason unlimited is in wee apostrophes is because it is judged by the fair use policy. Is it actually worth getting one or not?
  21. Happy with the 3 points, after a much improved performance. Not spectacular but steady. Golly looked good at left back, perhaps his movement out of defence could do with some tweaking as could his passes from the back (seem the remember 2 or 3 just going straight out of the stadium). Bulvitis was a big plus for me, looked calm, strong and composed for most of the match. Munro and Roscoe has their usual rock solid performances. Eagles had a slightly better game, he was just out of touch in a few instances, and perhaps not quite blended in with the rest of the team as of yet (see golly running full pelt and making a great run into the box on the angle, only for the ball to be played over the top and to the back post). Cox was efficient, although the referee meant he couldn't unleash any hard challenges. Stratford was very good, in my eyes a contender for M.O.M, playing almost like a second Dani Sanchez when he gets forward, and was unlucky not to score a tremendous bending free-kick. Hayes takes my M.O.M, created two of the goals and was excellent at taking his man on and beating him. Several occasions in the first half he played in a perfect ball to the edge of the 6-yard box but no-one had made a run. Seems to have boundless energy, and 'fight for the cause'. Up front, Foran and Sanchez were working well together again, little balls in and around the box almost coming off. Sanchez really seems to have found his form, he does extremely well to drop off so many times from the defenders and win the high balls. Foran was impeccable, but does seem to perhaps have a problem with the fans (??), the only one there not to recognise the around 150-200 who had made the journey. Maybe I missed it.
  22. Poor draw, any form of cup competition never seems to pull in a decent crowd. Maybe county may be different but i doubt it. Then again dundee in the final would be great.
  23. as the description implies i need help with ESPN. Whenever i try to complete subscription online, it appears with a message saying that it could not process my order. I receive freeview thorugh a box with a card slot (used to get setanta) but after moving recently i don't seem to get a decent reception on many channels (it seems to change with the time of day strangely) but have ordered a signal booster from maplin to try to get a better signal. I can see ESPN on my freeview channel list, and can also see the tv scheduling on it (ie whats on now and next) but one thing i don't see is the promotional screen detailing how to subscribe. Do i just give up on espn (i've emaield several times, no answer ;) ) or should it work (with or without the signal booster)?
  24. still say charlie christie is/was a good manager. remember the football being really good when he took over (it was after brewster though).
  25. while on the subject of mindlessly listing players we'd 'quite like' how about patrick deane of Hibs? from what i have heard a decent young player.
