  1. Think I've probably added to the confusion, but I'll try phoning the shop up tommorrow and see whats going on.
  2. still, the book is supposed to come out in December. I think its a case of waiting until it comes out before collecting it.
  3. Nope haven't decided to buy it from the pervert. If you want you can PM what price you wanting for it.
  4. y'see thats the bit I'm confused at. Does the book not come out in december? I ordered a signed copy, so am I able to pick it up anytime after tommorrow?
  5. Just reserved a signed copy of the book from Waterstone's, take it I just pick it up when it comes out?
  6. Like I say anything considered, take it you're still not using it?
  7. Sounds like a good deal. Unfortunately I would only be willing to stretch to ?2,995 and it would be unfair to ask you to stoop so low. Suppose I'd better add that I'll pay upto ?100, considering condition.
  8. Starting to get bored of playing Football Manager on the laptop, and my tv reception is now feckered, so I'm looking for a PSP in decent condition. As long as it switches on and plays games, I don't really mind what version it is, even the old first ever ones (as long as the firmware is updated). I've probably had about 5 separate PSP's in the last few years, its something I get really into for a few months before giving up as there are no decent games around, only for a couple of them to pop up once I've sold it at a knockdown price on Ebay. If you've got one lying around, PM me or reply below.
  9. Dennis Wyness always struck me as more of a thoughtful football player, and I think he'd make a good manager one day, hopefully for us. Davie Bingham as well. The most likely is Barry Wilson, but maybe not until the end of this season at least. Agree with Scotty above, seems being in the SPL has ruined our fanbase. Even the Highland Derby has been a bit of a disappointment, not the results but crowd-wise. Seemed to be 'some' support for the team on Saturday, marred slightly by objects being thrown onto the pitch, but it wasn't what I expected. I thought that game was going to be our chance to show the county fans how to support a team, but it just didn't turn out that way.
  10. The problem is clearly motivation. Every man in that team should have been fighting for their place in the team, but out of them all I would only keep Esson (no alternative and has shown himself as a good goalie) and perhaps Munro and Hayes. Butcher seems to be saying the right things in the papers but he doesn't seem to be drilling it into the players. Also, Roscoe coming out in the papers beforehand and calling the previous derbies timid and stating that he was going to spice things up, don't make me laugh. I'm a big fan of Tokely, but for him to come out and say that, before putting in a display that wouldn't be worthy of a friendly is pathetic. Shut up next time Roscoe.
  11. 4th. Not quite good enough to trouble the top 3 (Dundee, Partick and QOS) but just good enough to finish above the rest.
  12. But thats the question. How do they know how to play us? Before this season they hadnt played us in a competitive match in over 5 years so how have they got to know our play? Good management and training. Adams seems to get his players motivated for the big games, whereas Butcher seems to have some trouble doing this from time to time. County perhaps haven't changed their tactics/squad specifically for the derbies, but in terms of the players that they have they are just the type we cannot cope with. We are large, immobile and really not physical enough. County seem to have a good mix of physical/tricky, nippy players like Gardyne.
  13. Butcher will not leave. This is his last chance in management. Robbo will never manage ICT again while certain board members are alive. The board will not sack Butcher, to either save face or money. If anything more money will be ploughed into the team come January. County are simply a good team. They aren't better than us, but know exactly how to play against us.
  14. Sorry to say this but County were far the better side. Sharper, faster, clinical and with a point to prove. They remind me of the team we once were. Above all County showed that they wanted it more. I can't remember one 50-50 coming our way. The midfield let the game pass them by, and the defence looked like bystanders for the entire match. For County's first goal we had at least 3 men standing still, and watching the ball go into the net. Maybe next time, Butcher could tell Roscoe et all to SHUT UP BEFORE THE NEXT DERBY AND DO YOUR TALKING ON THE PITCH.
  15. From what i heard the club initially had 500 tickets fro the terracing and asked for another 200, of which 100 has been sold. The seating area is as good as sold out, and i think more than 100 will turn up on the day for the match, but i suspect that county will have surplus tickets available.
  16. I had no idea about the noisy section, think i'm in the yellow section at the moment. Anyone know if I can swap tickets after i've bought them?
  17. I see bobby barr has been released by Albion Rovers, he looked a handy wee player when against us in the cup.
  18. Seems to be the new tactic for all of our set plays, pass it to sanchez who looks for a man to break free and work it from there. I like it, cannot remember the last time we scored from a free-kick or a corner. With sanchez running at the defence, it encourages a few to break away and try to stop him, giving the perfect opportunity for someone to knock a ball over the top. Noticed yesterday that we played it on the deck to great effect. Keep that up and most 1st division teams wouldn't know what to do.
  19. Enjoyed a home game today for the first time in months. Without doubt the best attacking display by ict for a while now. The whole team seemed to be working in tandem, with a new and fluid formation, the front four quickly turned into a front two, maybe a lone striker if needed, and even the holding midfielders getting up front and creating. Rooney looks like a different man, i swear i even saw him show a turn of pace today. He was immense and could have had 4 or 5 himself. Special mention for Foran though, again showing passion and willing to chase everything, he looks like he has been told a thing or two regarding his performances earlier in the season but he seems to have found his SPL form again. Sanchez was proving his doubters wrong again with a faultless display, spraying the ball everywhere. Nice to see a real attacking team destroy another (albeit sub-standard but still in the same league). The county game should be interesting now. Especially with Odi ready for the action.
  20. Seeing clach go would be a big disappointment, it was great to be able to go to a 'proper' football game now and again. Remember going to a Clach cup game against Stenhousemuir, it was the middle of decemeber and it was about minus 5, standing on the terracing and watching the home team get destroyed 5-0, with the half-time entertainment being a house-fire in one of the lucky properties across the pitch. Happy days.
  21. Now i can believe this rumour. The plymouth rumour was never going to happen, to start with Butcher wouldn't leave Malpas to be someones assistant.
  22. odi to play from the start. Our best striker (although admittedly that belief is based on around 2 decent games last season) and a member of the squad with a rare talent called pace. Keep proctor the goal machine in the starting 11 and shed cox/stratford from midfield, having duncan holding in midfield with 3 up front.
  23. Bored out of my skull for most of the game, and to be honest i would have preferred us to have lost, just for something to happen. The stage we are at now is the pre-sacking stage: first we are willing to accept any form of display, and then we will not complain too heavily whenwe play poorly, instead just drift away at the final whistle. The final stage is when we decide to take some action, chanting against the manager and urging the board to sack everyone. I hope that comes around quickly, it would be good to be able to look forward to a home game. Today i thought we had the game in the bag 10 minutes into the 2nd half, then all of a sudden we started playing like the away team and sitting back. Then the wise terrence decided to take off our two best players (aside from esson) and replace them with rooney (before his time) and sanchez (just a joke at times, almost a luxury in the 1st). From then on we deserved to lose. Roll on the county away game.
  24. Yesterday was pretty ridiculous. At the end of the game with a few minutes to go i found myself with an entire row to myself in the busiest section of the ground. In the first half it seemed to me that we were controlling the game, and then in the 2nd we fell apart and started playing the lon ball rubbish that got us where we are today. Aye and well done butcher, it is about time someone told the mainstand where to go. Most just sit down and feel that they know better than the manager (and they may have a point but still) and then when they get some stick back they are on the forum crying their eyes out. The ones who sit in the mainstand and criticise for 90 mins are not fans. Tel still has to leave though. I have made a (financial) decision not to go to any more away games until he leaves. And that appears to be wwhat most of the home fans are doing now as well. I paid ?200 to watch that sheite and i am gonna get my full ?200 worth, so at least there might be a few still turning up.
