  1. looks like the BBC link is playing the Hamilton game...thoughts?
  2. ones knee is firmly under my desk...not even a wobble
  3. Ok first of. I heard this from a Hearts fan and i normally dislike rumours like this, however i heard it and its only fair to share with you lot. Ok i think last week TB mentioned that ICT would be entering into contract talks with Rooney to extend his current deal. It seems that the powers at ICT has totally p*ss*d off Adam & his agent over said deal ( wage demands) and now he is refusing to sign on, so could be another Black sitiation with him signing a pre-contract with another club. Coupled with that is also that Hibs are currently sniffing about Rooney, but this will depend on Hughes tenure at the club. If Hibs poor form continues his leaving/sacking would end the Rooney chase i imagine. We all know that we cant keep Adam for ever and his ambitions will be towards a larger club but it seems that both ICT & Adam would benefit of from him signing a larger deal as he would enentually move to a bigger club and we would get a transfer fee. I hope this /rumour talk is rubbish but i hope the board pay him what he is worth so we dont end up in doldrums again.
  4. It was mine yesterday and you all forgot Sniff!
  5. just back home from the game..good result, and i thought we were going to nick it at the end
  6. Ive just heard about this SPL Initiative, but couldn't find any info on here or the official site but ICT & Hearts are working together to attract more supporters to our game on the 18th September. Great idea IMO but suprised that the club have been silent on the subject. http://www.heartsfc....144019#continue

    Gossip

Surely Tuffy would have realised that Esson would be 1st choice. I cant imagine TB promising such a position to a a goalie untried in the SPL. An outfield player has some time to adapt to a new league but a goalie IMO has to be on the ball from the off
  8. The Windsor Buffet on Leith Walk is decent as is Pearces Bar on Elm Row ( b4 Leith Walk) I would avoid pubs on Easter Road itself
  9. regular games for the U21 can only be good for Adam and ICT overall. Hope he keeps it up.
  10. Dont ever remember a Latchford playing for Aberdeen . The name Bobby Latchford sprung to mind, but i was actually thinking of Bobby Clark, Dons Goalie. As for the rest of the players. My memories of that night are sketchy to say the least, so im not 100% on the players. All i do remember is the trauma of my father trying to get me to wear his stinking old Dons scarf
  11. I remembe my father ( a dons fan) taking me to the above at Telford Street. I got thinking about this the other day as i cant remember who would have been in charge of Aberdeen then. I think this was before Fergie, but i do recall some of the Dons players that night ( Harper, Rougvie, Jarvie, Mcleish, Latchford) comments
  12. bout time!
  13. Last time round Hamilton were our bogye team in the SPL, but i dont recall this being the case when they were in the lower divisions with ICT. Any Statos know what our record is against Hamilton from years gone by. Still feeling pretty confident for todays game mind!
  14. this is something that has always bothered me Islandblue. There nothing worse than being in out Home North stand and seeing a Inverness Rangers or Celtic Supporters club flag in the away end! also i agree with the general opinion on Ross MCormack. Big loss to Cardiff!
  15. clubs are gonna be sniffing around Johhny Hayes pretty soon if he keeps these performaces up!
  16. Reminds me of the song Beautiful Sunday. Thought Utd would be a tough one, but im glad the team have proved me wrong...What a rout!
  17. Im previous SPL years Im sure some of the Hearts away support used the Social Club.
  18. central belt media. ?CT being back in the spl wont stop their love affair with the old firm
  19. I remember Kevin signing for Caledonian youth team, when i was with Telford Street Jnrs. Im sure he came through the Inverness Street League, although my path went another way. Glad to see him get a shot at managing a top club if only for a short time. He was caretaker of Leicester for a bit too. He deserves a managers job as he has plenty of experience in the game
  20. oh there is a god!...ha ha Dungdee...your fookin gash by the way! Hope Wully Dudds & the other one get ther marching orders
  21. good to see Hayes in the line up...Hope he's fit for Saturday. Our squad with him & Foran in it could provide us with that 22nd unbeaten league match stat
  22. I work with Calum's brother. I will pass on your loving comments to him, lol
  23. Ok i got mixed up with my initial post. Yes Aberdeen own Pittodrie as i found out this morning. The issue is with a 12m bank loan + interest, which is due to be paid in full by March 2011. They may be forced to sell Pittodrie to pay this back and with the current financial climate they may not get the 12m required. He also mentioned that initial; but unofficial "soundings" have been made by AFC to a few other clubs with the option of ground sharing if they are forced to sell up. He mentioned ICT but i imagine they would choose TCS after other options. To be honest im not entirely convinced by the whole story. Yes im sure AFC have financial issues, but who doesnt. If anyone has a HM kickback account, there is a thread with supportive docs on there. I may have a look later if i can be bothered registering
  24. Im pretty sure that the Queens win was our 22nd competitive game unbeaten, which equals our club record. Congratuations to the team and lets make it 23 on the 14th August
  25. His "source" is a Dons shareholder, so he didnt pick them out randomly...but i agree with the merger idea, im sure they could do a better job than we did
