  1. ***OFFICIAL*** ST Mirren/ Aberdeen v ICT/Celtic Dundee Utd/Motherwell v Brechin/St Johnstone
  2. I really doubt that. All the new fans who supported the merged team would have probably supported any league team in Inverness. So I think the crowds would be similar to what they are now. I agree Joe.....FACT....in the 50s and 60s, Caley were regularily playing to crowds as big...if not bigger than what they average now, when they were in the Highland League. Dont belive me....go get yourself a copy of Rod Clynes book, In A Different League....its all in there. I see no evidence to suggest that Caley on their own would have been less of a draw than ICT....if anything...i think they could have had a bigger, more loyal fanbase! SMEE is right. According to Alex Main's "Caley All the Way, Caledonian had some quite large crowds during the 1950's and 60's: Caledonian v Clach - 1949/50 NOS Qualifying Cup- Attendance 6,000 ( T Street) Caledonian v Elgin - 1950/51 NOS Qualifying Cup - Attendance 4,000 ( T Street) Caledonian v County -1965/66- NOS Qualifying Cup - Attendance 4,000 ( T Street) Not sure what this proves other than Caledonian were able to get 1st division attendances.
  3. Just home after getting near Perth when we heard. Should have checked before we left i suppose.
  4. There are plenty of "Refusenicks" ( thanks Dougal) who support Ceptic in the Inverness area who can lend their filthy mouth support.
  5. I suppose one of us should give Dougal what he wants. I was Caledonian FC before the merger. I personally was against the merger with Thistle as i thought Caley could go it alone. I suppose with hindsight i wasnt aware of all the facts at that time. Later i saw the reasons for the merger more clearly and am glad that the 2 clubs went down this route. I wasnt part of any Anti Merger group nor did i refuse to attend any ICT games. I have always believed in ICT from the word go and will never stop supporting them. I do know of a few Caledonian FC fans who refuse to lend their support to ICT to this day. Their loss and they blend well into the background along with other fans who support the OF teams because they dont know how to support their local team. As for Mr Bannerman, i believe as he wrote a book on the merger ( Against All Odds), that probably gives him a little edge over the rest of us as far as facts are concerned.
  6. Could'nt see this posted anywhere else on here. Mozza makes his return to Inverness 28 years since The Smiths graced that stage at Eden Court. Ever seen a Demi-god? Nows your chance. http://www.morrissey...true-to-you.net
  7. Just thought i would give you a heads up for this gig on July 16th at the Northern Meeting Park. Not a fan of either band myself but looks like a good pairing. http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/Simple-Minds-with-Special-Guests-Big-Country-tickets/artist/1095738?tm_link=tm_homeA_g1&hot_ticket_brand=home
  8. P&B is just a site for slanging matches. Its a waste of bandwith imo.
  9. Terrys Interview was astonishingly honest. A Spokesman for the fans
  10. Hey all. just wondered if there is anybody looking to sell their copy of Mr Bannermans Agains All Odds book? Cant seem to get it anywhere Let us know or PM me thanks
  11. Ive always seen the club as a gathering place for the "old skool" and ive always been made to feel rather uncomfortable when entering to buy tix for their bus etc...so close it i say!

    Banners

I noted when passing the Banner sign at the entrance that they use a Comic Sans font...grrr! Its only the most hated font accross the World!
  13. I have great memories of Caley v Elgin from the Highland League days...Dates or individual matches are somewhat faded in my memory, but i always preferred playing them to Thistle or County! Saturday should be a great day
  14. seeing bands at Reflections ( Flight to Cario, The Kut) Discos at the Green Hut in the Bught!
  15. Absolute OF biased. Bet your ass they would have showed highlights if only they were playing. I would be interested to know if pulling their weekly OF show is built into their T&C's with the SPL/SFA
  16. Now lets move on. We have a better team now who are scoring goals. Lets put this blight in our history to bed and forget about it. Lets hope its a learning curve for the board.
  17. Depends on what element of law the case is under. Criminal law has multiple appeals open to you, but i guess this case is under Employment Law which is slighty different. But if Maruis instigated this as a civil case then no i dont believe he has the right to appeal the appeal decision.
  18. Hayes for me, yes he does go in and out of the game at times, but when he does get the ball im off my seat in anticipation as to what he will do. I cant remember another player who makes me do that...awsome talent. Im beginning to ask myself What the hell were Leicester thinking when they released him?
  19. The Ardmillan is decent but fills up rather quickly
  20. I work with Calums Bro and although he doesnt like the trip up the A9 he is a fair ref and i think he has a soft spot for ICT due to my constant harrasment of his Bro, lol I look forward to another last minute Penalty for us!
  21. Bookmark this site. Its up to date with ICT news as well as news in general and updates every hour. http://www.newsnow.c...edonian+Thistle
