  1. A million quid from compensation for managers over the years? Sounds like we have made more from losing managers than players transfers!
  2. To be honest im only really bothered about the bridge over the Ness. Its such a stunning place it doesn't need a seventh bridge. I'm sure the Brahan Seer made a prophecy about a 7th bridge over the Ness and it flowing with Blood. There was a bridge near the old Slaughterhouse so maybe that's what he meant. Anyway I digress!!
  3. Im sure like me you have taken a stroll on the river Ness or the Canal. 2 areas of Inverness pretty much unspoiled in a long time. Well there is a proposal to add New Road and bridges to the canal and River Ness. I for one; albiet an ex pat, find this just wrong. Add your voice, share with your FB/Tweeter friends. http://wam.highland.gov.uk/wam/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=neighbourComments&keyVal=MUEN97IH7R000 Thanks
  4. I think Kenny Sheils burned too many bridges during his Killie career. By the end he had alienated himself with Refs, SFA, SPL, the media & fans. He had so many chips on his shoulders. We need someone who is media savvy! Butcher was a media darling and fans of other clubs liked him; even some Ceptic fans liked him! I still have no idea who I want but i know who i don't and that is Sheils!
  5. think I will pop over to the Hearts game tomoorrow!
  6. I live in Edinburgh so the kick off time is not an issue for me! However I am in agreement with the rest of the ICT fans and that the club are being unfairly treated. Assuming the SFA or SFPL don't budge on the issue are there not any bus companies in the Inverness area with a bit of entrepreneurial skill that might put on special buses to get fans down to the Capital?
  7. "Butcher isn't the messiah. He's done a great job here the last few years, but it took just that - a few years." Your right! he's not the Messiah; he's just a very naught boy!
  8. To be fair to Jimmy he has stated publicly that he doesnt want to be a manager. Jimmy likes coaching but not all the crap that goes with being the boss. he could be a good No 2 to Butcher. Really?I didn't know that! Still he must get sick of the " oh no not again" scenario! But i suppose that's football.
  9. The one guy i feel sorry for in this whole saga is Jimmy Nichol! How many clubs has this guy been Assistant at only for the manager to get sacked or leave, he takes over as caretaker and then is sent on his merry way to find another club. Repeat!
  10. Is this 3.30am statement on twitter a load of guff?
  11. Anyone on here in the same situation with a job offer on the table would discuss it with their family and some close friends. Some peeps on here seem to think that TB is obliged to discuss it with a public forum or the press. Give the man a break!
  12. Don't believe anything that appears on Hibs.net. Lets not forget nonsense they caused with Wilson-gate!! I Believe!
  13. I always view using Google Chrome at home. Now that I have a nice Android phone I may use that if on the road!
  14. I remember hearing about a family who had moved into the area from down south. I think they all went to the pre season friendly with QPR and had the same problem, despite an empty main stand! Wonder if they ever came back? The blanket brigade or The Gordy's as i used to call them, is the reason i stopped getting the bus from the Caley Club! Its the classic needle off the record vibe when i walked in there for tickets!
  15. Losing TB & MO and probably Steve Marsella would be a major setback to this club. We are no longer seen as a "small" club any more but seen as a contender for Europe and that's because of these 3 men. And to lose him to a club like Hibs and their trigger happy board would be a kick in the teeth the supporters and just the wrong move for TB, MO & SM And Jimmy Calderwood can chuff right off!!!!
  16. I really believe he will not join another SPL club.
  17. Your right Yngwie! Sadly the various Chamber's of Commerce & Enterprise initiatives around the country are only interested in financing and rebuilding their fledgling high streets!
  18. I just wanted to gauge some opinion and hoping to get the views of my fellow ICT supporters. Ive been thinking of a potential business seeing as the employment market is gash! Some years ago! 1997 to be honest, I did a business plan for a Football shop which only sold tops (both new & retro). Bare in mind this was not a sports shop but a fashion shop. Euro 96 was just finished and France 98 was around the corner and there seemed to be a trend happening with men & women wearing retro tops! I think I had an Argentinan one myself. These days I still see people wearing them but not to the same degree as years before. So are they still fashionable. Also the Internet was in its infancy back then and I think only Ebay & Amazon were the only 2 doing any real business in online shopping terms. Today the high street is in suffering and the internet seems the only way a small business retailer can survive so I am undecided whether a high street or Internet only presence is required. Maybe you could take a few moments to answer the following questions. These will be treated confidentially and merely used as part of my own research into the idea. If you want to post your response here or PM me either is fine by me. Many thanks in advance. 1. DO YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER WORN A NORMALL FOOTBALL SHIRT? Y/N 2. IF YES! WHAT CLUB OR COUNTRY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR? 3. DO YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER WORN A RETRO FOOTBALL SHIRT? Y/N 4. IF YES! WHAT CLUB OR COUNTRY DID YOU CHOOSE TO WEAR? 5. 19. Defo Gary Mackay Steven! Big mistake not signing him!
  20. Thanks Renegade!
  21. anyone got any info on the U20 games re kick off, entry price etc. Having never been to an U20's game before; I will be in Inverness next week so looking to catch the ICT v Accies match on the 17th. thanks in advance.
  22. sadly the STV player is total rubbish and only has tonights episode of the news!
  23. Charles! Was the STV broadcast last night? Id like to maybe try and find it on the STV player
  24. Im sure I will regret posting this but someone would have. Tonights BBC podcast has a feature on the birth of our current club. Lots of dodgy accents and comment from Mr Bannerman. 38 minutes in I will now sit back and watch Mr B, Dougal & IHE have a 3 way polite tet-a-tet-a-tet. http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/scotfoot Mods: Feel free to block this if it gets too much
  25. I remember a BBC commentary mentioning someone watching OTJ. Think it might have been Coleman! Andy Shinnie was watched but think it was an away game!
