To be honest we lost our Euro trip last week! I'm still very happy with our season and thanks to Butch, Malps & Marsella! They put together a great team! We should be all proud!

I for one when i was a young Caledonian FC supporter had 3 wishes before i died. 1. Join the Scottish League 2. Make it to the SPL or Premier League in those days. 3. Play in Europe. Happy to have lived to see the first 2 of those and unless I die before Sunday, I will hopefully see the last one fulfilled. 20 years ago i gave a "F**k about the 'M' thing but Sundays game/result is bigger that all that BS! So Dougal; while you sit and kneel before your poster of Telford Street every morning; for once dude get with the rest of us and "Believe" And for the record I thought Banner's book was a jolly good read!

my Saints pal texted me to congratulate our Euro place! He's already resigned to them not getting a result against Well! Could just be his mind games! We shall see

I choose to go back in time to Saturday morning!

3-0 your right! And we deserved it that day! But to be fair to me his statement was said with such a central belt sneer i wanted to smash my TV in! Hated the man ever since!

Jagster I originally did this during the " we believe" campaign in the 1st Division, so I had included Brewster at the time. Proctor Graeme Spiers Hat refers to a quote by said Journo Mr Spiers after our first SPL game against Livvy when we were battered 5-0 i think. He said he would eat his hat if we survived the SPL campaign. Sadly he never lived up to his bet!

Any other day I would gladly give him a win! But this could go to the wire! I hope he gets a great welcome!

FFS! What have you done to my lovely thread! What started out as a funny, quirky and ironic look at my Euro campaign with ICT in FM13 has become all childish rant about "Caley 3-Stands". Now that Dougal has returned from the dead this thread is moments away from being another "M" thread. I shan't have It I tells yah!
-
I'm only asking this as my ICT team in FM13 played their Euro league group stages at Mcdirmaid Park. yet my 3rd round & play off round were at Tulloch Stadium. So in a real situation does our stadium pass FIFA rules on holding Euro ties? * As I am not counting ones chickens, this is a "in general" topic and in no way associated with the our current SPL fight to the death for a Euro place.

A nice safe trip to the Emerald Isle would be great! A trip to some unknown Eastern European town could end up in a "Hostel 4" type situation! Lol
-
Best SPL season I can remember and not because of our good season!
-
Forans equaliser against C*unty!
-
Thanks Vinnie! The SPL this year has been the best ever and I don't think it was just because of losing your friendly rivals!
-
SMEE! thats £5 for the Jar for mentioning Pre-ICT business! lol

The problem we have is I believe people from Inverness have slight inhibition problems. For example the Semi Final at Easter Road; i noticed that when people behind us were starting a chant, there were people in front of me turning round and trying to see who it was etc etc! Its as if they were saying" What are they doing"? Im sure we have all been to a gig in Inverness where people stand way back from the stage! Its the same thing! Keep it up Section E

Rule 1 Do not talk about the merger Rule 2 Do not talk about the merger. Anyway! I was curious if any of the old timers on here were attached to old clubs at all and do those attachments last today! Personally I used to play for the Telford ST Colts when i moved to Dalneigh! We were allowed the odd training session at Telford Street and I used to help with Ball Boy duties once or twice! My family had close ties to Eddie Davidson was i think was a board member at the time. My only tie to ICT is I am good friends with Club Sec Jim Falconers sons!

3rd? Who would have dreamt of that in 1994!
BornCaley replied to caleyyyyyy's topic in Caley Thistle
Good article and I certainly never imagined I would see ICT so close to European football in my lifetime! Not sure about the shift of power in the long run but certainly this season yes! The 2 Edinburgh clubs, Aberdeen, Utd must be embarrassed that they haven't managed to capitalise on Rangers leaving! Tough sh*t I say ICT & C*unty have -
I have always liked that Euro style chanting rather than singing songs about other teams or the ref etc etc. Drums do add something to the noise so keep it up I say!
-
I get the impression you are young Chris! We have all seen ICT in much better form this season! Best thing you can do is stay loyal to the club and get your friends to the games! Don't waste your time supporting other teams as well like the Man U's or Barcalona's of this world as they don't give a hoot about you! ICT care and will listen to you! SPREAD THE WORD Youngling and BELIEVE!!

maybe I should have thought it through more before positing! lol

Like most ICT fans; I am very much wanting to wait until its mathematically sure before talking about ICT playing in Europe! But I was thinking tonight! If we manage to make it would ICT be the youngest club to play in a Euro competition (19 years old)?

Ah but we don't know if he was gritting his teeth at the time or crossing his fingers lol!
