St Mirren haven't won at home in the league since they moved so theres a chance of a result. Motherwell have nothing to play for so they may go into games with a slight end of season feel to their play. We were like that in our first season. Killie never seem to beat us no matter what they do. So all being well it stays like that. If we can score the first goal into Hamilton then i think were laughing. They usually cave after conceding first... ...and by the end of the season hopefully Falkirk will have already been relelgated or will crumble under pressure. These are the positive things i can point out for the next 5 games but it will be very tough i think.
  2. Did we not try to re-sign him when we got promoted??
  3. Esson wouldn't be a half bad choice but i'd imagine Burley will go with Graham Smith as the starting player. Wonder if Butcher will try to wield the likes of Tokely and Black into the team.
  4. Right back but i can see him developing into a centre back as he gets older and then bombing runs down the flank become a bit harder for him. I'd also make him captain.

10 game ban was his punishment by Spanish FA.

We can't forget the vital goals he's chipped in over the years as well. Left foot beamer against Hearts or his wonderful overhead against Dundee Utd. I'm not sure which one is better.

Unless injuries hamper us, McBain has played his last game for Caley imo. He is well and truely past it and has been for a while now. Hastings won't be a regular anymore unless Lionel truely messes up because if we survive i can see Lionel getting handed a lengthier contract. It was about 31, 32-ish that Golabek began to peak for us. I think Hastings is heading the same way.
  8. Given that he played under both Butcher and Malpas i wouldn't be suprised if we make a move for Graham Smith at Motherwell in the summer. He is a tad overrated imo but i don't see any of the bigger clubs taking him and his contract is expiring.
  9. I read that while Butcher was manager at Well he tried to sign Craig Easton from Livingston but he joined Leyton Orient instead. Plays for Swindon atm and was managed by Malpas while he was manager there. He isn't a regular in the team so he may be worth a look at. He also tried to sign Pat McCourt who plays for Celtic while he was at Well so we could try to get him on loan. Watched him play for Celtic reserves and he was really good. After watching the Queen of the South highlights i would at least look at signing Stephen Dobbie. His contract is up soon i think but i don't know if he could cut it in the SPL. Jim Paterson played for Butcher at Motherwell and is out of the picture at Plymouth. Motherwell fans speak highly of him and i think we tryed to him in January so we could try again. Good utility player, left-back, left-mid or centre mid.

One of the most overrated defenders i've seen. What he did last night was dispicible. I hope he gets whatever maximum punishment there is to offer.
  11. After looking at Leeds 2 years ago after they got relegated and deducted 15 points for the start of the next season i'd say they did pritty well, no reason why Southampton can't.
  12. Really sad to see that. They had been playing reasonably well recently. Can only hope they bounce back straight away.

When it comes down to having up to date stats, pictures, even news the official site is useless. This is always my first port of call for news and info.
  14. thats not actually a bad record for us. I think we shall do well!! win our first 2 we leave ourselves not alot of work to do to stay up! takes the pressure off the next 3 games then we usually do better!! I completely forgot about that. We should have finished 4th that year, although if we had finished in the top 6 it would have been a different story point-wise, though we would have finished 6th still.

One of the greatest players to pull on an ICT shirt.
  16. Given that we were once the underdogs from the 1st Division in 2003 and 04 then i only find it appropriate to support the likes of Dunfermline who progress this far. Good luck to them.
  17. What i'm saying Mahonio is that if the players know there is going to be a big crowd then it should be an extra incentive to put in a great performance, (not that i'm doubting they would put in a performance anyway). It could help them bow out of the season on a great high, which should be survival. Sorry should have been more specific
  18. What would be good is if we get a great crowd for the last game of the season. I remember for that game that Dunfermline got relegated, which was our final home game that year, we packed in over 6,000 fans that day with a great turn out from both fans. Would love to see that again and i think it would give the players an awesome boost for the game.
  19. Did a talk/powerpoint on ICT in 1st year, which was our debut season in the SPL. To end it i showed the highlights of our 1st division triumph.
  20. 2004-05. Lost 3, drew 2 2005-06. Won all 5 2006-07. Won 3, drew 1, lost 1 2007-08. Won 2, drew 1, lost 2
  21. ooooo, intrested Discuss? Monologue story, so it's self narrated. i tell the story of whats at steak if they lose, his error and how it felt. How it felt at being relegated and i made up what happened on the coach ride home and what the manager had to say to the team before and after etc etc. Thrown all together and i got an A :thumb04:

Marius hit the bar against Falkirk with a header last season and called Greg Fleming into great save for Gretna when we smashed them 6-1, only for McAllister to put in the rebound and then perform his poncy celebration.
  23. While i think it's a fabulous idea and would give the rest of the teams in Scotland a great chance of success cup-wise i think the novelty would wear off soon enough and bizarrely enough the old firm would perhaps be missed. Although i don't think i would miss them personally. Financially we would suffer as well as most of our telivised games are against the old firm so there'd be a slight profit loss as well. Really don't see this going anywhere further in the near future though tbh.
  24. My sister was also mascot for the Dunfermline game, all seems so long ago now. Completely slipped my mind I also used Dorus de Vries error and Dunfermlines relegation as plotline for my Standard Grade English Exam, got an A for that but i'm going off topic. I agree with alimci, Hamilton have to be the most boring side i have ever seen play. I want them to get relegated.
  25. Of course...how did i forget? Thats it, he relegated them with the aid of Bambas boot in the last minute. If Falkirk continue to have their injury problems up front then it could work in our favour. BBC pundits say they couldn't see where goals were going to come from for Falkirk atm.
