  1. Looking at our squad now that it has been strengthened i have too say i'am fairly confident we can win the league as well. We kept some real key players, signed some very promising trialists and TB is still looking to add to that. The 1 year deal thing dosen't bother me that much because at the end of the day i'd rather see them sign 1 year deals to stay than not sign at all. Arguably we have the best squad in the league so there is no reason why we shouldn't win it.
  2. Sanchez can play up front as well and Butcher says he wants another attacker so it wouldn't suprise me if they do mayb'e offer him a deal after all. I can see the likes of Park going out on loan so that may free up space as well. Jamie Duff mayb'e as well if we sign Bulvitis.
  3. fell over
  4. Good to see they've got him on board. Midfield is starting to look alot healthier now.
  5. I'm on holiday unfortunately, heading to the English seaside and my football will consist of going to watch Morecambe vs Hereford.

Both Stratford and Bulvitis will be good signings should we offer them somethig imo. The 2 Slovaks did struggle but i think the big guy Machovec would have been worth another look at. He seemed to be a hard worker and was unlucky not to get a goal. Hope we get Bulvitis and Stratford in time for the Montrose game.
  7. I thought alot of challenges from Forres players were out of order. Great double coup from Butcher, i think both could be the players we need. Does this mean we are not following up the intrest in Sanchez?
  8. Overall it was a half decent performance. Stratford took his goal very well and had a competent game both in midfield and defence. Eagle was a menace every time he got the ball and his free-kick was very unfortunate not to go in. Bulvitis looks like a very solid defender and i think would be worth a contract, good heading, good clearing and had a commanding presence in the backline. Johnny Hayes took a wee while to settle in when he came on but really got into his stride once he did, i think he will be a good addition to the side, i'm led to believe he has joined us. The 2 Slovakians did ok, Machovec looks like he has a good work rate and was unlucky not to get a goal while Ujcik was rather quiet yet his last touch was a good finish.
  9. Sean Evans and Michael Barnes. 2 Man U youngsters that came in. Both looked like hard workers and also looked more than capable of regular football. Brew was ignorant enough to weive away Alex Fergusons suggestions.
  10. Agreed with Chibber. However it says Eagle is playing tonight against Forres. Looking forward to seeing this guy Hayes and i hope they get a deal for Sanchez.
  11. Darren Campbell. Little winger we had on trial from Reading in Christies full season in charge. He looked really good in pre-season and would have been great competition for Barry at the time but Christie decided he didn't want him. Liam Buchanan. Cowdenbeath striker that came in training with us for a while but again Christie chose to let him go and depend on McSwegan :015: . He joined Partick and was rather prolific until he sustained a bad injury but i reckon he could have done the buis for us.

One of Leicesters coaches played with TB at Coventry so that may be our connection. Glad to see we have another bright looking prospect in, he must be worth a look if he is in the Ireland U'21's.
  13. Atm i don't really think we have one. Cox from what little i've seen in pre-season.

One of the Slovaks may be wingers as for some reason wide players are referred to by some as forwards but i agree midfield should be the priority. Butcher talks up Sanchez quite a bit in the courier so despite his departure it wouldn't suprise me if Butch does offer him something more permanent. Suprised we didn't sign Kelly.

  17. Why would being a goalie for St jonstone make him a moron ? would that make you a for posting that ? Thats not what i said. If you cast your mind back to the day we won the league you will find he had a couple of howlers that day. I have absolutely nothing against St Johnstone. And it's good to know what you think of me for posting an opinion.
  18. Reidford is only 5 ft 11 so i don't think he is the type of keeper we need. I also noticed Craig Nelson was in goal for Brechin. Was he not the moron keeper that was between the sticks for St Johnstone the day we got promoted?
  19. I can take pride in the fact that i played in a cup winning Boys Brigade side with both Nick Ross and Gavin Morrison Was pleasing to see such a good result. I hope they get Sanchez back to fitness, i think thats what was his problem today because his ankle was attached to an ice pack last night. Wheres Reidford from?
  20. Falkirk. There signings are not of a proven standard and there appears to be unrest within the team. Unless things change i see them really struggling.

wouldn't be suprised if he offers both Stratford and Sachez deals as they are both very different players and he aims to get a squad of about 22 players he said.
  22. Really enjoyed the night and was good to see the players training. It was a right laugh with Butcher on the mic at times.

I read somewhere that Butcher was keen to recruit Kelly after watching him against Clach.

Danny Sanchez is apparently capable of playing on the right mid and Stratford can play anywhere across the middle and do a good job so they might be what we need after all. I've heard very mixed reviews about Bulvitis though.
  25. May be because he is older than McCarthy but i would agree that James McCarthur is the better player.
