Some people could interpret your post as pathetic....they would be right. I apologise if i caused offence.

I didnt say that. I would love us to have some more local players back in the side, but calling players half bit foreigners could be construed as such a remark. Not saying it is but people can get the wrong idea. We have foreign players because times have changed and its cause of the way we have to do buisness. Glad to see my catch phrase is catching, always nice to get ganged up so no you go get a grip, wind up merchant. Sayonara.

A run of games will be good for him and all being well he can establish himself in the side and give Tel something to ponder upon his return in August. With his contract being up at the end of the season it really is make or break time for Gav.

In that case, 'some' people would need to get a grip. Hardy har.

You know some could interpret your post as racism...just saying.

Because the team as a whole, simply is not good enough. If it was, do you think we'd be looking at a points tally worthy of relegation? I think the team we were relegated with was better than this one. You saying that squad wasnt good enough? Considering the current crop of players have more or less seen us safe this season? I'm not going to take this debate any further. It seems like you won't be happy until everyone in the current set up is gone. All i will say is transition takes time. Dosen't always necessarily click straight away. Butcher deserves another chance to put his own plans into motion. If we had played like this all season with a fully fit squad then i would've probably called for him to go. But like i said we have fallen foul of just about every disadvantage you could get in a season which have severely hampered any chance of us making progress and i will carry on saying this till im blue in the face. Its at the point now where like the fans, the players probably just want the season to end. This has been a derailed, disrupted and underachieving season but time can be a great healer and who knows what another summer can bring. Roll on 2012-13.

Jay_7 may i ask how you have such in depth criticisms when you yourself admit you havent seen enough of certain players?

We can agree to disagree then. The club can announce over 3000 all they want, it's sadly not the case. Not really given that i worked the Turnstile gates for the last year and part of my job is counting what i take in So you're the guy to blame regarding the inflated attendances which has been quite evident this season You wouldn't be the same guy that's done the counting in Dingwall for many years too? Dougal Aw shucks you got me!

You think we're getting more than 3000 in through the turnstiles at the moment?? I can answer that...yes.

If he did then its probably a good thing. If he had scored he would have probably celebrated by parading a t shirt showing his support for his best friend the convicted rapist which would have led to even more unnecessary coverage and an FA fine.

We barely picked up any injuries when we were in the 1st Division. And that was as small a squad as i remember us having.

Some of you really do need to get a grip. This season has been a disaster for just about every footballing reason under the sun. Injuries, suspensions, harsh decisions, no penalites bla bla bla. Butcher may be at fault for all but not for everything. He changed the team yes. But most of his signings have all shown how capable Doran, Shinnie, Tade, Tansey, Jones, Golobart have all been very good signings but there has been no continuity because all of the above mentioned plus most players in the squad have been injured. Theres been no continuity and no chance to build an understanding. This is also a really young team so mistakes are going to be made as they may not cope with the pressure as much as others. I'm not saying that Butcher is faultless. His recent tactics have been woeful and one or two purchases have been less than effective e.g former players Gnakpa and Aldred. This also ties in with the idea of continuity and stability and has to stop. If he signs players i sincerely hope that most are with a long term view. Experience is required too and fast, the young lads need more help out there on the pitch. Personally i dont want him to go. You all seem to forget that this is the manager that got us back to the Prem at the first time of asking and also gave us our nearest push to the top 6 we've ever had. He deserved a chance to make his own mark on the team and he cant stop players getting injured or suspended so bog off and give him some space, there is no point in asking him to go at this stage of the season either cause you guys aint gonna get what you want. He deserves another chance to stamp his authority on the team and surely surely we won't have another season as hellish as this one.

As long as Proctor goes im happy. Was barely on the pitch a minute and instantly made himself a liability.
-
Very disheartening performance and tbh its getting one too many for me this season. Time and time again we huffed and puffed and fail to blow the Aberdeen defence down and also yet again our own defensive lapses come back to haunt us. I didnt have a good view for Golobarts OG but he seemed to be under little pressure and yet again we fell behind after being the dominant side. Aberdeen did little to test us throughout the entire game and the only clear cut chance they had was when Magennis took advantage of some unique defending from Proctor who was barely on the pitch before getting owned. Dont care what Butcher has to say and dont care what the team has to say. You werent good enough but its past the point where words mean anything. Start putting your words into perspective and get your act together. Half of you have futures to play for and quite frankly based on today if thats your idea of earning your stay you can feck off.

What i dont understand is how his buddy Clayton McDonald got off scot free. As according to the reports both were comitting the dastardly deed.

Encouraging signs from what he said to STV. Says he will wait until the summer before deciding his future but is happy here.
-
Also fair to say that there will probably be more announcements like this in the coming days? I seem to recall that it was this time last season that we found out who was staying and who was going.
-
Agreed with the above, his cons outweighed his pros in the few opportunities he's got but given that Tel has been tracking him for "years" i'm a little suprised he has been shown the door so soon. The game at East End park done it for me too, he was truelly awful. Farewell Claude...wherever you may end up.

9 goals for this season is not a bad return. Agreed he is not playing well just now but he has shown at times this season what a quality player he can be. He has got what it takes to play at this level but like many in our current squad needs to be more consistent. I'm confident that if we could find him a more suitable strike partner and get our more creative players back in the team once theyre fit he would probably be able to get more goals, however needs to get that confidence back. 1 year deals again though? This is becoming rather frustrating.

Id take it it to be honest. People have complained about the current set up for years and rightly so. It's boring, it's too reptitive and in terms of the top 6 to an extent it makes no sense. I would welcome a change.
-
Like many i preferred the old reserve league, it actually turned into an enjoyable pass time watching our young lads play alongside some of the first teamers. You had the advantage of developing youngsters, keeping squad players match fit and giving game time to those returning from injury. It had those 3 advantages rolled into 1 and it was a great shame to see it done away with. I would certainly rather that than the U 20's league. Like the OP says dosent seem any different to what we already have.

When did we sign Leigh Griffiths?
