I noticed Javan Vidal is on trial at Yeovil, i seem to recall him having a productive loan spell at Aberdeen a year or 2 ago. If things dont work out for him there i wouldnt mind him getting a chance up here - if Gilbert dosent come anyway.

Against a promising League 1 team and given the amount of injuries we have i'am very impressed with this result.

Doran was very much apart of our team last season so he has to be included, same way Aldred is even though he'll be away in January. I'm not comparing both players for positions, i just mean I'd rather have Doran in my team than Shinnie. This IMO shows our team was better last season. There is still alot of time left to bring in other players but surely all the good ones are already being snapped up. Im sure if it was possible Tel would have Doran back.

Wouldnt make the comparison of Shinnie and Doran. Doran was only on loan and he was a winger, Shinnie is a center mid. And Tade wont be the only signing up front, Tel says they are looking hard for a quality signing. I'am concerned but i think Tel is as well and knows we are still a long way from having a full squad.

A right back, a center back, a left winger and another striker - these are must haves. Wouldnt mind a 3rd choice keeper but not a necessity. And i wouldnt mind Duff making his mind up at some point before next pre season.

Been there and done that. Was terrific while he was here but he is past his best now.

Well if he dosen't sign i fully expect Kevin McCann to be back unfortunately.

Up until about a month ago Kevin McCann was still an ICT player according to ICTFC.co.uk so wouldnt be my first port of call to check.

Not impressed. Thought he would have been a great signing but if he is faking injuries to duck out of a move north then i dont want him here. Back to the drawing board then.

Shinnie was poor against Elgin as well because he played in that advanded role. He played center mid against Clach and Forres and looked much better suited to that role. His link up play in paticular caught my eye. But he is NOT suited to the role of second striker. If Terry persists with him there Shinnie will struggle to make an impact i think.

Pre-season is well underway and he is still not back. Im sorry but as much as i wouldnt mind him staying he is not irreplaceable and i find it a tad ridiculous that he is being given this long to sign an extension. Given that he has had almost 2 months to do so. I dont know if he has been training with the team but he hasnt featured in any friendlies so i assume he hasnt. How much more time does he need?

A great perception IHE. Some these young guys have got some great potential and could really end up writing themselves in the history books of ICT, just wish the current crop on trial would stop getting injured.

Todays P&J says Gilbert is out for 2 weeks and this has hampered his chances of winning a contract. Christophe has gone back to France cause of his injury and may not be back and Cooper is crocked as well. Only trialist playing today is Stevenson apparently. Safe to say that this pre season could not get much worse, if ever we could pick a summer for injury frenzy it had to be this one, the one where the whole squad is being re shaped. For me the only positive so far is that we have seen the best of our youth academy which again seems to have produced promising talent.

The club made it clear that players would not be signed for fees over the summer. Accrington were due compensation because they offered Gornell a contract during in that window of time they were permitted too. I cant remember how long it is but im willing to bet thats why that deal fell through because he is under 23. We got Tansey for free because he was never offered a new deal by Stockport and because he moved cross border. The funds that were going towards Rooney's potential new contract will still be there surely as he only left a week ago. Im sure the wage packet alone would be very appealing to a player of a decent calibre.

Courier says that Gilbert and a striker are expected to arrive later in the week. Says that Cooper and Stevenson are playing against Livingston as well. No mention of Christophe though. And Duff is carrying on talks over a new deal Seems like Big Tel is doing his best to put a decent squad together.
