As soon as i found he signed the first thing i did was go onto Partick's site to watch that game.

I'm still waiting on confirmation that Tokely's signed a contract  That hadn't occurred to me, your right there was never anything about that.

Official site is portraying its usual wall of silence. Nothing about Tuffey at all.

Jonny Tuffey
I think this is a signing that highlights both the calibre of club we have become to attract such a well regarded player and that we intend to perhaps do more than just "survive" in the Premier League. Alot of the clubs linked with him were in the football league and given that we were able to persuade him to come North i think also means that Terry Butcher deserves credit in getting him here. Competition in goals will be tougher than ever this season at ICT and that alone will be a very intresting race throughout the season.

2 of the most comnsistent and well thought of keepers in the country are going to be in our squad!

Lionel Djebi Zadi
I see Hereford beat Swansea 2-0 tonight. Looking forward to seeing what MeadowEnder says about Lionel and Stratford following this result.

Saying i'm suprised is an understatement.

Graham Bayne
I felt quite sorry for him having read this, i really hope he makes a recovery and someone takes him on. He was an honest pro and a really nice guy.

Lionel Djebi Zadi
Looking on positives he is very good getting forward, despite his height he can be quite fast, and he can be quite solid in the tackle, his weaknesses tend to be his positional awareness and a tendancy to overplay at the back sometimes. He also has the ability to produce the unexpected such as scissors kicks in his own penalty area., your sure to get a laugh. If he settles into the first 5 minutes comfortably then he will probably have a decent game, if he starts of by making a mistake you can be almost sure if won't be his last. He does have talent, it's just a case of unlocking it consistently, hope he gets a deal and turns out well.

Barry Wilson...
Is set to become Elgin's new assistant manager combined with a playing role as well. Think he will make a brilliant manager one day ,i hope he makes his way to a top job somewhere.

new signings?
Said in the Courier that we have ruled out a move for Duff now but havent ruled out the possibility of signing him should he still be available in the near future.
-
Dan Stratford
He struggled to keep up with the pace in the games i saw him play and he often struggled when it came to putting in a tackle. Seen you guys against Morecambe last year, if that was anything to go by then i think he will find it difficult. The only good point he really has is his ability to take a good set piece.

You've gotta love Munro
:D Grant was a rock at the back last season, he will probably be one of the last players to go through his whole career as a one club man (apart from the brief loan stint at Elgin ).

Fleetwood - Away
Staying in Heysham at the time and driving through to the game with family, looking forward to it.

new signings?
Mark McGhee said that if Aberdeen didn't do well in the market he would try to take him back and given the way things are going for Dons having lost Kerr, Mulgrew, Grassi etc it wouldn't suprise me if he did. I wouldn't mind Duff back, another experienced head to keep the youngsters on the ground, as said he looked a good option in midfield and he said himself that he enjoyed his time here.

1st Division winners medals
If he played enough games he is due a medal, simple as that. Although i didn't know the 10 game rule was SPL only.
-
4-2-3-1
It certainly proving to be effective. Inter also used it and went on to become European champions.

new signings?
Really? He said last week he wasn't looking at him. Mayb'e he has changed his mind.

Next Seasons Numbers
Couldn't help but ask.

new signings?
Yes but there's more to it than that. How did England's vastly experienced squad fare compared with an inexperienced Germany team based around players in their early 20's with only a few caps? And we did OK last season with pretty inexperienced players like Rooney, Hayes and Cox. I'm certainly more excited by the type of player we are going for than if we were getting journeymen who'd played for St Mirren, Killie, Motherwell etc etc. Suppose when you word it like that it makes more sense. I do hope they cut it in the SPL if they sign.

Next Seasons Numbers
Some people like to get a strip with their favourite player and number on the back. And there in lies the following question, when does the new strip come out?
-
new signings?
Don't think he could be anymore transparant... fair play for keeping the fans in ze loop. I'm a bit worried that he isn't looking at anyone with a bit more experience to help out the first team but experience costs money and we don't seem to have that at the moment. From the sounds of it Heston Blumenthal will be able to cover all 4 positions upfront and at only 20 years of age he could be an absolute steal... or another Behrami but I am hopeful because he wears a head band :) :P :P It does concern me as well that we are not bringing in experienced players. There must surely be some players unattached that may find us desirable, then again mayb'e not. Still, looks like it may be a fun pre season.

new signings?
Both look like exciting prospects but we need some experienced heads to add to it as well. Looking forward to seeing them in action. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/8790309.stm Butcher wants another keeper as well as Johnson, Mr Bannerman got a word with him today.

Pre-Season Friendlies / Early Season Games
I shan't be attending that match as i'am in York that day and then have to travel back to Heysham afterwards, all in all around 5 hours worth of travelling, too much. Looking forward to Fleetwood though.
