I would not be surprised if a certain Mr Leighton were to join the staff at ICT. That would be something, 3 internationalists on the coaching staff. How many SPL teams could boast that? 223 caps between them. :P That would be quite a coup if we could tempt him to the Highlands.

According to the P&J today Rosscoe says he is in a real emotional dilemma whether to commit himself to Caley Thistle or not. I just hope he accepts whatever the club offered him. If not it is going to be a very different defence next seasom without the big man at the back. :P

I woud like to know who is deciding the length of the contracts because whoever is needs to stop and think. Whether it be Butch or Bennett. Ross has been an integral part of every ICT team each season for the last decade plus and would probably want to put his best days past him in an ICT shirt and Esson has played in every game last season bar an Alba cup game and is probably one of the best Scottish keepers in the country and i don't doubt for one minute that either want to stay. These are two guys who have played key roles in steering us back to the SPL, they have been as vital as Foran, Rooney etc and the club rewards them with only one year extensions?? I would be very dissapointed and feel rather undervalued with that especially knowing that other 1st team players got 2 year deals. If it is down to financial constraints then i'am very worried that we can only 4 players the security of a 2 year deal. I do hope the remaining 2 sign up but i must admit despite the reassurances of Butcher i do now have doubts.

Esson has only been offered a 12 month extension according to the Highland News which i think is riciculous. He has been a terrific player all year and is by no means old. If Proctor is getting a 2 year deal then Esson should definitely be getting one as well. Rosscoe is apparently been attracting intrest in Turkey and Australia.

He has been a loyal servant to the club who has served well and shown his versatility as well. Good to have you staying on Bambi. Now just to get Rosscoe and Esson sorted out.

He is being every so slightly hypocritical but is right to a point. Theres plenty times they've barely brought up anyone to a game here and it is the same wherever most support goes in the SPL. Though the few times ive gone to an away game we have had a good few supporters at them. Only time i saw United bring a big crowd was the day they stayed up a few years ago.

Hoping they play Morecambe...i will possibly be down in that part of Lancashire while ICT are there.

Your hellbent on the idea of Harris, ain't you Chibber, tbh i agree. But back on topic though...i do hope Esson stays but if he dosen't i certainly don't see it being a downfall if we bring in Tuffey, tbh i don't think we would get a better replacement...and on a free!

I completely agree. He was outstanding that game and what makes it more remarkable was that he had come in from the cold having seen very little first team action at all. I still think mcBain offers a lot to the team, it may not be that he starts every game but it is essential that we have players available that can come in and do a good job on short notice. McBain fits that bill prefectly. Glad to see him extend his contract He didn't play in that game He wasn't even on the bench.

If were to get any Morecambe striker i would want Phil Jevons, he's miles better than Curtis. But going back to our targets, Tel was saying in the papers today that there will be trialists coming in again this summer...it always makes a pre season game worth the watch at least.

Chibber has pritty much summed up my thoughts for summer transfers. Only thing i would also like is a right midfielder, i know Tel likes to use Johnny on the left wing sometimes and i doubt we could stick with the 4-2-3-1 for every game. I agree Harris may be a good signing but only thing i'am concerned about is his lack of defensive qualities. Having watched him against Johnny a couple of times this season...well...enough said.

Rosscoe looked more settled at centre half in the run in this season than he did last season and results speak for themselves, after he was settled there we conceded only a few goals in the run in. Apart from the Raith game i don't think we conceded more than one goal at all with him in the backline. Tbh i don't think he will be at his best at RB in the SPL. He is 31 and he may well have lost a bit of pace. I'm concerned he would get found out. I think 2 new full backs are needed on either side in the summer.

Sol Campbell is a free agent now, as is Jermaine Beckford, perfect striker partner for Rooney!
