  1. Motherwell unearthed Giles Coke and Chris Humphrey from league 2 so i'am fairly confident Gillet can do as well as them.
  2. Good to see we have the left area sorted now. Sounds like this boy has a good pedigree, looking forward to seeing him in action. Welcome to Scotland Kenny.

    Good News!

The whole case sounded like a complete waste of time.
  4. And IMO one more centre back. I think we're ok for centre-backs (Innes, Munro & Tokely with Proctor or Golly if desperate) and centre-mids (Proctor, Cox, Duncan, Morrison, McBain all competing for 2 places). LB is an absolute priority. Forward I'm not so sure is that much needed. I'd be happy to give Sutherland, Gil and Odi their chance to back-up Rooney. After that, it's more about getting a quality player that can depose a current first-teamer, rather than any squad players. We've a good first team and lots of good young players. I'd like to see Mackay-Steven on a short-termer as it's possible he could really add to the team. Proctor is no centre half nor is he a centre midfielder, there is no way he could wing it in those roles in the SPL. McBain will probably become a fringe player. So if Cox or Duncan get injured were humped. I'd still not be suprised if Stuart Duff returned. But as said left back is an absolute priority! I think Golie is a great pro but a regular game at the highest level is just to demanding for him imo.
  5. I noticed that Evan Horwood didn't join Aberdeen, they pursued that other left back Williams. Horwood would be a good addition to the squad and he is only 24 so adds a bit of younger player to the backline. Would love Pavels back but i think the signing of Innes will kill any such move for Pavels. I hope Butch hasn't given up on Mackay-Steven either.
  6. When compared to teams on a similar budget I think we'll do OK. If there is ambition to exceed our previous campaigns then I agree we need to shore up the defense and bring in a couple of attack minded utility players. We defnitely need a left back, centre mid and another forward which i think Butcher has pointed out.
  7. Tuffey Tokely, Innes, Munro, Golabek Cox, Duncan Ross, Blumanshtein, Sutherland Rooney subs: Esson, McCann, Mcbain, Sanchez, Odhiambo.
  8. The way Butcher speaks in the P&J suggests he has doubts over getting more players in. I sincerely hope not, we are still at least 3 or 4 players short of a full squad imo.
  9. Having watched Sanchez against Fleetwood when he played out wide i would be more than happy to see us at least give Mackay-Steven till christmas. Not suprised about Milne, given we have signed Chris Innes now.
  10. Not quite. Foran, Hayes and Proctor all miss out due to injury and Mackay-Steven and Milne are not going either although Butcher said he was going to talk with them after we return next week so i'm guessing he is intrested in signing them perhaps.
  11. Love the kit and loved the airtime on Sky Sports News.
  12. I also have good word that it is released tomorrow morning. But i don't know what it looks like.
  13. Any gametime for Milne or Mackay-Steven?
  14. I think if Mackay-Steven impresses tonight then i think we should sign him. He could just be Tels next gem.
  15. Agreed with RiG, i always thought he provided more as an all round midfielder as opposed to McCarthy, having both players in a team would be excellent for any club.
  16. You really think Golabek will be a regular next season? I get that because he is old and been around the block then some people think he will be no good but TB said himself he has tryed to get in younger players but has struggled. There is only so much a club like ourselves can do.
  17. His Wiki page has him down as joining Dundee 2 days ago.
  18. Tee hee to Ross County who have spent the last month trying to sign him. I think he is a good signing. An experienced centre half who has played fairly well wherever he has gone. Whether he is cover or going to be a regular player well then we will wait and see. The fact that he left St Mirren does not really bother me. For all we know he left becuase Gus McPherson left. Looking at the current set of defenders on their books i'd say he was one of the best. Keep the new players coming Butch...
  19. A good move in my opinion. Foran is a natrual leader, he has shown this throughout the last campaign and i think he is better suited to the pressures of captaincy. I think without the pressure of being skipper Granty will be a better player of it.
  20. I doubt your alone but i have really enjoyed pre season so far and i'm looking forward to the season. At the moment i'd say behind Celtic we have strengthened the strongest and we are still looking to bring players in. Guys like Cox and Hayes could take the SPL by storm next year and with guys like Tokely and Foran etc we have players to keep these guys grounded. Butcher is projecting a great confidence from these guys, not a complacency but a confidence that i have never seen in any other ICT side. With the condition other clubs are in just now in the SPL compared with the positive hype and excellent signings made so far by the club i think we will excell this year and turn a few teams over on the way.
  21. Lough was a left back i think. A position in desprate need of getting filled. Right back is no longer an issue, we have Proctor, McCann and Tokely if he is needed, though he will be a centre half next year imo. I want to know what happened to Oji, Butcher was talking about how he was chuffed to get him on trial because he had tryed to sign him before and so far he has not been seen at all. IMO we need a left back, a centre back, a right winger and may'be another centre mid.
  22. Saw him at Hampden a few weeks ago. He was absolutely superb, easily the best performance i've ever seen live.
  23. Pitty about Morris, Lough didn't strike me as anything special. Wouldn't suprise me if we get some more trialists in this week. Pre Season has been really good so far.
  24. I'll be heading down, but i'm going by car with family, so i'm probably just heading straight to the ground, see you there! :D
  25. He won't last till Christmas. Unless they hit the ground running he is out.
