Mor-aye-iss (no sh sound on end, just a hiss like s), but to get it right you have to run the "aye" and "iss" sounds together which comes out almost like you were about to say "eye" and end up saying "ice". That's how I was pronouncing it on Saturday and nobody came to tell me I was getting it wrong

I believe the case has just been put back (again) for another couple of weeks.

If Butcher is going to be at games checking out the opposition then good on him if he can earn a few quid at the same time. As to the results...don't think I've ever been so keen to see both halves of the OF win If we can build on it with a result of some kind against Aberdeen then great, but the Hamilton game is the most important one.

I shall be there and I know of a few more who frequent the forum that shall be in attendance. I don't normally go for these posher functions, but quite looking forward to this one. Very good chance that we'll be away with us only having 2 home games out of 5 post split. Someone did mention to me in the passing that consideration is being given to early kick-offs across the board for the final day, so with any luck that should make it easier for people to get up the road for the Ball.

This thread had nothing to do with anyone getting (or losing) a job, the position was vacant before the thread was started and I was at the club on other business when the subject came up and we were asked if we knew of anyone and I volunteered to assist.

Like every player at ICT he (McGuire) got a clean sheet when Butcher arrived and we simply haven't seen anything of the guy since then to be able to make any decision on him under the new regime. Same goes for Duff, I think he's got huge potential, but on what we've seen since Butcher arrived then Munro edges it. Good to have competition for places though, so long may Duff (and others) continue to push for starts.

Not sure how you're going to manage to play indoor 5's on outdoor pitches!!! 8 Outdoor pitches and not due to open until Spring next year.

I understand he had Egg and Bacon on his combined roll this weekend.

Glad to see someone else give Djebi-Zadi the credit he deserves. I read one report which described the first goal as coming from a "mis-controlled ball" from him when, in reality, he could have done nothing about it.....I would have said Mihadjuks was more culpable for not dealing with it before then. And to be pedantic....it was a Munro "hoof" that started the move for Morais' first goal

Given the weather and opposition on Saturday I was predicting a crowd of around 3300, when I got the note to say it was 3794 then my thoughts were that the 4 game ticket initiative must have been responsible for a good few extra bums on seats. No idea of how many the club sold, but I think they were reasonably happy with the uptake.

Can't see any decisions being made until we know for certain which league we'll be in next season. If (when) survival is guaranteed then I imagine the club will already have a budget worked out so they can tell Butcher he's got X amount and he can immediately offer deals to the guys he wants to keep. Only after that's been done will Butcher know what gaps he has to fill (although he may already have a couple in mind). In the current climate I can't see too many players being quick to turn down a contract offer unless they have something concrete lined up elsewhere.....and with many teams likely to be downsizing then opportunities might not be as forthcoming as they might have been in the past.

It's true, I was the man on the mic on Saturday. First time doing the job at TCS so hopefully you can forgive me any minor issues that may have occurred with volumes (or anything else). Trying to get a handle on all the information that needs to be relayed to fans whilst finding my way around the various controls and buttons for the first time was this weekends challenge, but hopefully as I get more up to speed on that then we can look to improving the overall quality. One thing I will say in defence, support and recognition of previous (current and future) incumbents is that there's far more to fulfilling the job than we (including myself) might have realised. They have to work with other people to collate all the info they require for the afternoon - Sponsor Details, Mascot Details, Team Lineups, HT Challenge Participants, Attendances, HT & FT scores from other games, Birthday/Celebration Shout Outs, Safety Announcements, Goal Scorers, Substitutions, Music Selection, Future Events, Future Matches....plus any miscellaneous stuff than can, and does, present itself. Keep the feedback coming (good, bad and indifferent). I can tell you that the club have been listening to what has been said on this thread and are keen to tie in the roll of the stadium announcer with improving the rest of the matchday experience. One final note....a Thank You to Ali who was the previous "voice" of TCS. Other commitments have prevented Ali's continuation in the roll, and having now stepped into the shoes I think I now have a better appreciation for the job being done. Thanks also for the clear and helpful instructions you left, without which we might all still be standing there scratching our heads and wondering how you managed to pull it all together.
