  2. I see the talk of a move to C*unty as nothing more than an attempt by Buchanan and/or his agent to put a little pressure on ICT to make a decision. I would not be at all surprised if he was a confirmed signing for us by the middle of next week without the need for a further trial.
  3. I nearly suggested that they produce a set of one off shirts for the occasion :029:
  4. Assume that was done on the basis that the squads have been prematurely updated for 2007/08 and as Dods has let then he could not be set as captain. I have done some minor edits to the wiki pages over the years and it always ends up in a battle with the self proclaimed experts and powers who be who threaten to have you banished from the face of the earth should you choose to disagree with something they have added or pick them up on an error. The most recent one that has made me laugh is the removal of Rankin as a "Famous Player" whilst Xausa was happily allowed to remain...lol.
  5. Sounds like a cheap lager!!!
  6. Nothing in what you want to see that can't be achieved without the need for a full blown public inquest.
  7. We've obviously been paying him too much - reduce the offer :tic01:
  8. I don't think it would be in anyones best interests for that level of information to be placed in the public domain. The word of the Trust and the Chairman that matters have been handled appropriately and assurances given for going forward together with some general feedback are sufficient. Nobody died and nobody was injured so no need for a public inquest.
  9. The club should be made aware of what is expected from them in terms of contributing to the meeting. They should be invited to attend on the basis that they have some feedback and answers - if they aren't able or willing to do that then they should be told not to bother coming and wasting everyones time, because without it, any effort to form a future singing section will be made all the more impossible.
  10. I knew I was suppose to post something about something. Will get details up this evening oc the Xpert11 league thingymawhatsit.
  11. LG, it really isn't that difficult a question - I know your trying to be helpful but I'm finding your answers rather frustrating. Surely the Trust must know under what basis Alan Savage has been invited to the meeting and whether he is willing and able to give the feedback and answers people are looking for. If they don't then I see little point in having a meeting whereby the chance exists that he'll stand up and say "we're waiting on the outcome of our investigations". IMO, many people will not be willing to throw their support behind any future plans for a singing section if they are going to be faced with the possibility of treatment such as they received at the Dunfermline game. I fail to see how we can move forward with these plans until that has been cleared up - everyone needs to know where they stand and what is expected of them. On that basis I would say that it is VITAL that the club give proper feedback and answers at the meeting and if they aren't going to then there's little point in having it at all.
  12. A politicians answer if ever I heard one. Let me re-phrase the question. Have the club been invited to give feedback on the situation that arose at the Dunfermline game and what will/has been done to ensure it isn't repeated and do the Trust expect them to provide such feedback? I appreciate the efforts of the Trust in investigating this matter and no disrespect, but at the end of the day it is the club who were/are ultimately responsible and I would fully expect them to deliver their own report on what has happened and action taken on their end to prevent it in future as well as what they expect from us, the fans. I'm all for the Trust acting as an intermediary between the fans and the club, but that shouldn't mean they are allowed to hide behind the Trust when it comes to facing up to their responsibilities.
  13. We were told he would make a decision, we weren't told that we would be let in on what that decision was.
  14. For clarification - Will this meeting also be the (intended) platform from which we will receive feedback from the club with regard to what happened at the Dunfermline game and what will/has been done to ensure it isn't repeated? Until those concerns are dealt with I fail to see how we can move forward with plans for any future singing section in a positive and cooperative manner.
  15. That's like comparing a fat guy to Pavaroti regardless of whether or not he can sing!!!
  16. The club can't continue to use Errea as an excuse. When they agreed the deal with Errea they should/would have agreed suitable Service Level Agreements. - If they never agreed any SLA's then it is the clubs fault. - If the SLA's aren't adequate and creating this issue then it is the clubs fault. - If the club were late in getting designs to them or making decisions then it is the clubs fault. - If they did agree SLA's and Errea weren't/aren't meeting them they should have terminated the agreement and went elsewhere. Don't forget this is a problem that has existed with Errea since day one, it's not like it should come as a suprise to them and they should be managing fan expectation accordingly (at the very least). From memory this is (thankfully) the last year of the clubs agremeent with Errea, here's hoping they find a more reliable replacement who can at least provide strips in realistic sizes.
  17. Have merged these topics to try and keep much of the discussion in one place. Despite promises that the matter would not be (or allowed to be) swept under the carpet, the longer it drags on without proper answers, the more it seems that this is what is happening. I envisage the next excuse being that it is the closed season and people are on well earned holidays (cough) etc etc.
  18. Don't give up the day job :001:
  19. :32: You really can't expect to have a dig at a group of people about their grasp of the English Language through the use of a poorly punctuated pronouncement (big word added to create alliteration - i.e. show off) and not expect a smart erse response. And you can have a :32: as well for calling him a clown - two wrongs don't make a right :016: This post was brought to you with :tic01:
  20. I tell you something, a few of our current players could learn a thing or two from Keogh about splitting a defence with a well placed through ball. It's just a shame we aren't so hot at recording assists in the SPL because I reckon he'd be right at the top of that table for ICT.
  21. The question is - do we need Dargo more than he needs us? The way the club are playing it then you would think so - this ***** footing around would never have happened when Sutherland was at the helm as he took no chit from anyone. We, as fans, may have disagreed with his approach on occasion but it served us well over the longer term. If Dargo is taking the p!ss then it's because he has been allowed too and you can't really blame the guy for stretching it out if he is being given the opportunity - I would do the exact same thing in his position, it's a dog eat dog world and you have to look after number one. Again, I still think he's playing dangerous games....yadda yadda yadda.
  22. My understanding is that he has told the press to back off, not the club. For all we know their could be amicable agreement between the club and Dargo that he has till next Monday to make his mind up. Still think he's playing a dangerous game but that's his choice at the end of the day.
  23. I don't think it's too unreasonable for him to be telling the press to do one whilst he is on holiday. However, I personally think ICT have come across as far too desperate to get him to resign and he's using that to buy himself as much time as possible to see if a better offer comes in. Is he worth bothering about? Probably, but he's playing a risky game (he should ask Hastings) and if he keeps delaying then he may wake up one morning to find that we have found an alternative and he no longer has an offer on the table from us.
