  1. The debate only served to strengthen my view that the No Camp have nothing other than a half baked argument on the pound with which to base their case. Unfortunately, Salmond missed the opportunity to bury that argument by sticking to a few simple facts and seemed more interested in trying to discredit Darling instead. In fact, both men were very guilty of attacking the other instead of the points they were trying to make....and neither did anything which I could imagine would win the undecided vote.
  2. You just described Ryan Christie. So John Hughes is doing his transfer business right then? He hasn't had to do any transfer business to get right or wrong. I take faith from the fact that a good number of players have signed extensions since he arrived (and I suspect more will) and if/when we have need to replace players then he can be judged on how that goes. Our squad is small, but it's fairly versatile. There's good argument for a second experienced striker, but can we afford to have that and either them or Billy passing time sitting on the bench? If we could, then I imagine we'd have brought someone in already.
  3. You just described Ryan Christie.
  4. It's through MFR and it's only away games (at present).
  5. The SPFL are allowing games where the travelling is beyond a certain distance (230 miles return) to be played at an earlier time....which means most of ours will probably be 2pm. The specific nature of the distance seems a little suspicious as it forces us to play games against Aberdeen & St Johnstone in the evening...but C*unty are just (by 2 miles) outside the need to play any in the evening.
  6. All the great work being done by some people on here to big up the club and encourage more people through the gate will go a long way towards ensuring Yogi has the funds to bring in another international class striker. *insert sarcasm smiley here*
  7. We caught up with the Shinnie brothers for a quick chat after the game....Graeme won the biggest watch competition!!!
  8. Celtic ICT Aberdeen Dundee Utd St Johnstone Motherwell Those 6 teams will be clear top 6 by February. The rest will battle it out till the end to avoid relegation/ play offs and they could finish in any order.
  9. Unlike others, I'm not going to write off the team or our prospects for the season ahead before a ball has even been kicked in the league. I still have faith in what Yogi is doing and the players ability to execute it. Yesterdays game was a worthwhile and important exercise...both in terms of identifying where we have stuff nailed down and where we still need to do a bit of work. The important thing is what players and coaches do with the information gleened. I Believe.
  10. Nobody listens to anything Dawson says
  11. It was a psychological test...throw out a nondescript statement and see which people latch on to it, thinking it's about them.
  12. I believe the SPFL are still insisting on evenings for these games, but I'll get that confirmed.
  13. The same few people every time.
  14. Just had confirmation from Birmingham that there will be pay at the turnstile facilities for this game.
  15. It recommended Rugby, Hockey and Netball....thankfully no mention of gymnastics
  16. Athletics, Shooting & Lawn Balls I am apparently least suited too.... Fair enough on the first one, but I have proven to be pretty not bad at the old clay pigeon shooting and have bowled at a decent level. My conclusion.....thank feck the BBC aren't doing the talent scouting for Team Scotland.
  17. Afraid not.
  18. The New 2014 Home Shirt junior sizes are now in stock.
  19. I believe Horner can play in a few different positions, so probably viewed as a useful utility player to have as part of the squad. Rules for the U20's (now called the Development League) have changed to allow 5 players over the age of 20, so there's a bit more scope to work with players that are a little older to bring them on. Under TB we had quite a bit of divide between the younger lads and the "first team" when it came to training etc. Yogi does things very different and views them all as part of one big squad with everyone training together far more regularly. One of the main reasons we're seeing the true potential of these lads, IMO. I think the benefits of that have been apparent all pre-season. Even today we didn't have what we might consider our strongest/preferred starting squad, yet we looked in control and comfortable for the vast majority of the game. If you work on the premiss that the other team can only score when they have the ball...and we limit that possession...then logic dictates that you'll concede fewer goals and in turn, lose fewer games. You then build on that and look to turn that additional possession into additional chances and the logic follows through to dictate that we should win more games. We've got the first bit in place and are building on the second part. Having seen all but one of the pre-season games, there's been a progression in terms of how direct we're being when getting into the final third and that will continue to improve.
  20. Nobody who was at the game today could possibly argue that the strip was disliked by any sort of majority....place was swimming in people wearing them.
  21. Yes. There's the UEFA Blackout rules which prevent any and all matches within their jurisdiction showing "live images" for set periods of time....which is why televised games have to be moved from 3pm on a Saturday. You then have the SPFL's own rules....which aren't actually that much of a hindrance in themselves as they just state that clubs must show footage online from behind a membership wall and geoblocking needs to be in place so as it's not viewable within the UEFA defined zones...etc etc. Until we get anything approaching a decent broadband service speed at the TCS (BT's fault, not ours) then it's not something we need worry about as any kind of live streaming is impossible on matchdays.
  22. Tickets are available online from https://www.eticketing.co.uk/ictfc/default.aspx Or by calling the ticket office 01463 227451
  23. For a man that's so pro-Union, it surprises me that you choose to present Yorkshire as an independent nation in your argument. Some might even suggest that you were more anti-Scottish than pro-Union?
  24. Do some people have any real problem with stereotypes in general....or is it more to do with the fact that they'd like us to cast off the Scottish stereotype, only to have us use the British stereotype instead? Given the choice, I know which one I prefer!
  25. The Club Shop will be open on Saturday & Sunday from 9:30am till 2:30pm (and for a short time after the game on Sunday)
