  1. Don't quite understand the attempt at secrecy. No attempt at secrecy, I just couldn't remember the name off hand when posting Interesting (or not) fact. Horner made his first professional appearance against ICT.
  2. I can't name who it was, but it wasn't Gow.
  3. Also pointed out at the bottom of the launch article on the website - http://ictfc.com/news/club-news/1329-2014-home-kit-launch
  4. Next week.
  5. We used to get them with that but Ryan doesn't like it (and actually picked the padding out of his shirts) so it now comes without.
  6. What colour are the goalie shirts? Black
  7. Sizing on the new home shirts is a little more generous than the current away shirt and old home shirt.....I may even get one that fits this season!
  8. Shirt price is £45 Adult and £35 Kids Goalie shirt is available to buy....I just ran out of time to get it online this morning and only just back to my desk.
  9. Not seen any team lines, did we have more than 1 trialist listed? If not, it wasn't Gow.
  10. Tomorrow...... https://twitter.com/ICTFC/status/492007154464075777
  11. Still not been confirmed whether or not there will be pay at the gate, so strongly suggest anyone planning the game purchase in advance....either in person at TCS, by calling the ticket office (01463 227451) or online at https://www.eticketing.co.uk/ictfc/default.aspx
  12. Make sure you've got plans to be at the Fleetwood game
  13. Thought today was a good demonstration of what Yogi is trying to achieve in terms of ball retention and movement....in all areas of the pitch. What we all need to keep in mind is that these are essentially training games and the main objective/focus (for now) might not be how many goals we can score. I know from discussions I've had with Russell and stuff we're putting in place for video analysis (first season where we're being asked to produce footage specifically for that purpose) that the team are concentrating on positioning at the moment and both he and John were happy with what they witnessed today in terms of the progress being made on that front. Raith Rovers are no slouches and having spoken to one of their guys after the game he was both surprised and impressed by how much we frustrated them by not allowing them to get any time on the ball and limiting their options to all but trying to catch us on the counter....and credit where it's due, they just about did on a couple of occasions. What was also reassuring was the fact that we made 5 half-time subs with a further 2 later on in the game....and every player that came on slotted into the team seamlessly. That goes a long way to removing the fear I've had in previous seasons where injuries etc have left us having to rely on untried players or players without much match time. Anyone who's not had a chance to see much or anything from the pre-season games should make sure they get themselves along for the Fleetwood game next Sunday....I have a feeling you'll regret missing it if you don't.
  14. No, merely to achieve some clarification of the significance of statements about the local media made on a club-related website by someone who has official responsibility within the club for media matters. My personal views expressed on here (should) have the same significance/baring on my position with ICT as your personal views have in regards to your position with those who contract you for your services. I do find it a tad crass (and out of character) that you would use your position with the agencies who contract you for your services to try and somehow threaten or intimidate me....or anyone for that matter. Every day is an education.
  15. Wow, must have really hit a nerve in order to get that reaction. Is your objective to try and silence me and prevent me from commenting on what you say?...or do you have some other motive?
  16. I did at the time
  17. Who said it was a cheap marketing stunt?
  18. You're both wrong. It was the U18 Canada Development Squad and they played in the COTIF U20 Tournament.
  19. Thank You.
  20. Just a marketing stunt and cheap advertising. Increase sales by 10% and they stand to profit from the "gesture". No bad thing though as everyone is a potential winner.
  21. No confirmed date...lessons learned in past about waiting till club have hands on...but shouldn't be far off. Was going to do some teaser pics, but that about got me strung up by people last season Away kit with new sponsors due arrive at same time I believe.
  22. Wow...didn't realise it would be such a difficult question! I only donate directly to charities themselves or via Just Giving/Official Sponsor Forms and not so much through third parties or by dropping money in a bucket. At least that way I can verify the legitimacy of the fundraiser/ing and ensure, where possible, they get the full benefit of things like Gift Aid.
  23. There's a lime green and yellow "third" shirt being produced but it won't be going on sale and will only be used if no other option exists. Not really....we'll probably keep the white shirts and have the Subway Logo overprinted or just not bother with a third kit (no rules to say you need to have one).
  24. That is also my understanding - with "bidding for a share" being the operative term. Caley Thistle already have a stadium at a location of the club's own choice which has effectively already had two separate contributions of public money - when it was built in 1996 (£1.8M) and the tax concessions when the ICT Trust was set up in 2001. On the latter subject, I seem to recollect that one of the legal requirements for the ICT Trust to be set up in order to gain these concessions was that it should benefit all sports and not just football. I am not so far clear of the extent to which sports other than football have benefited from this requirement so far. Priority number one has to be the multi purpose indoor facility to which Alex refers. There are sports across the area crying out for such a facility. On the other hand if a training area for ICT and other football clubs can also be provided, all well and good. In terms of location, Fort George is far from ideal and who knows - any indoor facility may save a trip to Dingwall when the snow arrives. On point one....it's fairly well known and accepted that the "public funds" received in 1996 were nothing more than a means for the local authority to pay for infrastructure improvements from funds other than those earmarked for such things. Whilst technically accurate, the reality is that it did little to directly assist the club...they were merely the vehicle through which the money was shifted. In regards to the Trust that was set up to take ownership of the stadium....that had little/nothing to do with tax concessions. Even if it was, I would be surprised if it has ever benefited from any tax concessions which would not be afforded to any company with trading losses. It could actually be argued that the most tax efficient thing to have done would be to leave the stadium and debt within the club so that those losses could have been offset against the clubs tax bill. Since the Trust hadn't (up to the last time I checked) turned a profit, then there's no chance of any surplus existing to be distributed to any sport. Always amazes me that members of the local media pay such close interest to financial operations at ICT (whilst constantly drawing the wrong conclusions) but very rarely spot (or would it be more accurate to say, take such public interest in?) the more obvious goings on elsewhere!!
