  1. I've said it before, we need PROFESSIONAL marketing!

If it's results we are looking for - good day at the office - well done guys. If it's player development - I still believe younger players will come on quicker playing with more experienced / older pros so I hope we continue to use the 3 "older heads" in each game. I suppose each club will have different policies but if they see us using the 3, expect them to do the same next time round. Apart from giving the players some confidence, I still don't think results are the be all and end all. What we want is to see at least one youngster getting to the next level.
  3. Stick a poster in the DSS offices - there are thousands of folk going in there! They would need a good discount tho!
  4. We need a very serious cash injection so we need change at the top! The whole club needs a boost to encourage people to support their local team not dwellers or 3rd divi newboys!

Don't want to be negative but I see us in a battle with Dundee. Regrettably I don't think the caravan dwellers will be in bottom 4. Hope I'm 100% wrong.
  6. watch out Ryan
  7. What mess was that... Maybe to do with price?
  8. Well Alex, if we are employing people to do the job - they obviously aren't doing enough. So who's fault is that? Employees have managers/leaders who are responsible for their training and direction. I don't think they are getting enough direction or training so I would never blame an employee who is not "coached by their manager". In addition to the treaditional lines of income you mentioned, we are missing the biggest of them all - BUMS on SEATS - so I would ask the BOARD what they are doing about sorting out what is potentially our biggest source of income? How do you quantify obviously? Why would anyone be at fault? How do you direct and train people to get sponsorship etc...give them a mask and a gun and send them out in threatening mode? In the current economic climate, in a diddy place place like Inverness and environs (no offence, btw...just a fact), the options are somewhat limited and waving guns in faces seems to be a useful method! Re the bums on seats bit.....from what I have read on here regarding the pre-season games, there appears to be more enthusiasm than at the tail end of last season regarding the squad and the style of play.......but in the end, the problem regarding bums on seats has more to do with the attitude of the Inverness football punters to ICT (and the amalgamation.) Would you care to come up with a suggestion as to how the ICT board is going to make inroads into the Inverness-based support enjoyed by the OF, Ross County, Clach etc who regularly bypass the TCS on their way to watch whoever wherever? This is a business, if the business does not generate enough income to cover it's expenditure it either has to increase it's income or reduce it's expenditure OR it goes bust. If as you say the lack of bums on seats is down to the attiude of the Invesrness football public then that is what has to be worked on - make them feel wanted, give them value for money, make the product affordable and attractive to them so that they come and buy it. I really think this "amalgamation" c**p is long gone and even then it was very much a minority so I think you can put that one to bed. You mention the alternative attractions such as the OF, Ross County and Clach. The OF is something we probably have to put up with as it has been here a lot longer than us, RC have only now got to our level and Clach don't get more than 100 fans at home games. If RC is a problem I would ask why? Do they have a better product? Do supporters get a better experience? Is our product too expensive? I don't know but maybe you can tell us who should be finding out? Do I have a suggestion - YES. If we don't have a director with a succesful history in marketing who can lead this part of the business then we have to invest in a suitably qualified Marketing Manager - not someone who just talks a good game, one who has proven experience to take the business to the public and make the experience one which they can't wait to go back to again and again. I know these people don't come cheap but if you feel it's not the job of our Directors then I don't see any other option.

  10. Looks a pretty tidy squad to me. Plenty of physical power in defence and midfield and decent quality from a selection of midfield players. However, as has already been said, we need a striker who can retain the ball and play others in. The others being a choice of our existing front men, none of whom are effective enough to play as a lone striker. Looking a lot better than I thought but I can't see where we are going to get enough goals from. I can see MacKay, Sutherland or Oswald scoring goals off a main striker so it's the BOARD'S job to attratct funds for Butcher to get just one more piece to the jigsaw.
  11. I totally agree with you Alex (unusual but there is always a first time ) we as supporters need to realise that without us dipping in and supporting the team financially, there is no club - certainly not at this level. However, what I am trying to get accross is the fact that people will no longer spend money unless they see value and I really feel the stuff we are getting at the moment is nowhere near good value. Football needs to be exciting and has to give us a buzz - like sitting on hot bricks for the season to start - I'm sitting on hot bricks because my bum is twitching worrying what will be served up this year and will the travellers be putting it over us! Our directors MUST have ambition to make us a better CLUB - not just a TEAM (i still believe we are a long way off being a PL CLUB) and attract INVESTORS to help us achieve our goals. The directors need to do this quickly or we will hear the same story year after year.
  12. And your reply was ............
  13. And do what exactly? They are running a BUSINESS and in any business they need to have a product which encourages people to buy into it. They need to quickly find out WHY our support are not buying as many season tickets. Is it because we can't afford it? Is it because we don't find the product value for money? Are there any othe reasons? There must be reasons why we are always struggling financially and I'm sorry that some of you may not like this but it is the BOARD's responsibility to keep this business viable or we cut our cloth even further and play at a level we can AFFORD. I don't want to be negative but it is a well known fact that a very prominent businessman is willing to make a substantial investment in this company but why has he not done so? Maybe he has no intention to invest under our present guardianship. For whatever reason, our men in charge need to find out if he has genuine intentions, what conditions are attached, make any changes needed and then do their utmost to get the job done.
  14. Well done "S" you are very fortunate that you can afford to be so generous.
  15. Charlie B on radio scotland announcing that RCFC may be suspending season ticket sales as they feel they have sold out! They are considering suspending sales because they want to keep 1000 seats for supporters who will not be regular enough to justify buying a season ticket. Maybe our decision makers should taken note!
  16. CD I understand what you are saying but all this interaction previously about brand ICT and this is the result. If the club were serious about that then they would not be changing it again. Yes I like some others would prefer to see blue and red stripes as part of that identity but that does not appear to be the case. If our strip is going to be predominately blue (top, shorts, socks) going forward then fine but can the club just decide on it so that we can create a recognisable identity that is part of this so called ICT brand. I am sure St.Mirren, Kilmarnock and Celtic (Palace and Barca even) fans would have a similar response if their first team kit was changed to a similar design. I am with KB on this and I just think it was another lost opportunity by our club. God I would love to be at just one of these boardroom meetings to see what is on the agenda and how these issues are discussed. One thing is for sure at present 'one step forward two steps back' is just about right to describe those providing direction for our club. PS - I suppose nobody out there has access to any MoM - I need to be cheered up Totally agree TBB. This is all part of our identity which should have a major influence on our marketing. Say no more.
  17. Do our current Board of Directors have ideas on how to promote our business? After all, they are responsible for the financial results which ultimately dictate our potential on the park.
  18. A pretty smart ICT coloured tie if I do say so!!! Does the bag come as part of the package?
  19. Errea have plenty of decent designs which have been shown on this thread. And yet someone chose this thing. I know, but who's the plonker that's been leading us away from the decent ones the fans want?
  20. It's fecking HORRIBLE! 0/10
  21. Errea dont choose the design. So maybe you can tell us who does? This is a standard Errea design with a change in colour option. If you are as informed as you think you are, you will know that Errea have a big input into the selection decision.
  22. If this is the best they can do, please don't sign another contract with Errea
  23. The clangers just keep on coming. Taking the predominately BLUE theme a little too far me thinks. White shorts and we could have been playing at Telford Street. The old jaggies will LOVE this one! It'll only be fair that the next away strip is Black n Red STRIPES.
  24. Glad to hear we support the same cause but with different personal opinions. Let's just live with it.
