  1. Issuing shares actually has no bearing at all on the reported loss - but it was a vital source of cash that enabled the loss to be accomodated without unpleasant consequences. Sorry, I should have been more specific as I was referring to the overall balance sheet situation and not the P&L account. We seem to be fortunate that we have people willing to invest substantial sums each year to save a crisis. The question is - How long can this continue?
  2. We would have done even worse if we hadn't issued a further £500k in shares.
  3. Glad to see the club has appointed someone to take resposibility for comercial revenue activities. This is a big job with substantial deficits to deal with and it will take a lot of effort and experience to do so. I won't put pressure on the guy by building him up as a "fantastic appointment" or a "great guy" as some may have different opinions. Personally, I hope he is a raging success for the sake of ICT. Good luck.
  4. Standing alone on the Wine Shed end at the North Cup final. Denying it all but that typically means the opposite!
  5. Must book a night in that hotel in Millburn Rd - what's it called again?
  6. Dont ask me why but I get the feeling he may be high maintenance.
  7. I posted recently that fans wanted Value for Money and to look forward to the next game. Well, we got it all in shovel loads - Well done guys you showed skill, determination, and for non-locals, bags of passion! What a crowd and what an atmosphere - if only we could get everyone and thier vocals at the next game. :clapoverhead:
  8. I hear what you say Caley D but you miss out the vital part of those with "potential" and that is "quality".
  9. Playing left side centre back and getting job with main sponsor. The "big signings" (apart from Golly and Harty ) are only big in their own minds
  10. I hear old Richard is signing for Brora Rangers to become part of the "Kirkwood Revolution"
  11. This used to be a major source of income but I was told that it was cancelled at the Aberdeen game because of lack of interest. Is this correct?
  12. You think Terry & Mo are bad - what about that boring git Levein - reasons to be thankful!
  13. I'll be sitting in the main stand now I know that home tickets are on sale and for your info I've only been to one County game this season and that was their opening game at home to Motherwell I do find this breakdown of communication or lack of it quite concerning though regarding the sale of derby tickets A bit of an early own goal for the newly merged caleyjagsforever but I can only hope they learn from this and make sure the fans are kept up to speed in future My fear now due to county being so far ahead in ticket sales is that we will have a situation like we had when the orcs were in town ie a large number of away fans purchasing tickets in the home areas which could easily result in flash points Let's just hope for once the dormant ICT fans make the effort again and snap up our tickets Dougal Why is this an "own goal" for CaleyJagsTogether? They have nothing whatsoever to do with the physical selling of tickets. Maybe not Don but you do keep backing those who make these cockups.
  14. Absolutely fine. It's my opinion too. It's calling for his head after a single defeat in the SPL to the current and future champions that's the problem. If he doesn't perform, then it will perhaps be time for a change. Perhaps not, depending. Despite attempts to make a number of people 'happy clappers' - it's not. Butcher has been reasonably successful so far I'd say. If that stops, then is the time to ask the question. Motherwell was a poor scoreline. Celtic? Well, you just have to know that sometimes your team will get thrashed. And I include Aberdeen, Dundee United and Hearts - they often lose heavily to the OF too. Judging Terry on a reasonable set of results against our main rivals is neither happy clapping or being a neggy. It's realism. And it's how Butcher would like to be judged too. It's still too early to judge if we'll have a successful season or not. So, yeah, let's see. Spot on. If we split the SPL in 3, I feel we will be fighting the battle in the bottom section all season so we need wins against the 3 teams around us home and away, not an easy task but one which should see us survive. Against the top 8 teams, I still see us getting some good home wins, good away draws and the odd away win. This will obviously all depend on TB and MM immediately sorting out what is the WORST defence seen at this club.
  15. It's not a smile you should be getting with thoughts like that it's a "massive headache". Barry Wilson has absolutely no management experience and the Pel is hugely high maintenance.
  16. Caley D - I applaud your dedication and efforts - I really don't know where you get the time to work - maybe your too well off and don't need to! You probably remember this type of back-up has been tried before, unfortunately without much success (Commercial and Management). Maybe it wasn't set up correctly or didn't have the right people with the necessary experience or maybe even didn't have the Board's assistance. Who knows, I wish you luck BUT unfortunately we don't have 3 to 5 years to sort this mess out. That's why we need to invest in experience at this stage - OK I hear what you say about not having any money but if this deterioration continues we will have even less. The fans haven't caused this problem, it's bums on seats the club needs and we need them sitting on them NOW! I know you feel I am negative but sorry here I go again - the director's are responsible for EVERYTHING at this club and I cretainly haven'd heard ANY of them coming up with ideas on what they are doing to rectify the problem, have you? What does the average fan want? An exciting team (OK, not always possible because of financial restraints but one that gives everything they have) Value for money An entertaining match day experience so they look forward to their Saturday afternoon every second week The feeling of being wanted by their club (the tinks seem to be good at this) Not easy I know but all areas the Directors should address sooner rather than later.
  17. He must be because our beloved board appointed him and are standing by him!
  18. I don't know anything about EFFECTIVE marketing so I don't see how I could help. Since inception this club has relied heavily on volunteers (workers) and they will always be needed to help where required. However, our ability to attract new customers and get old customers back is non-existant and far beyond the capabilities of someone like me. We need to EMPLOY PROFESSIONALS who are accountable, know what they are talking about and can evidence their success in this field NOT volunteers who have the club at heart but have no professional experience.
  19. You are spot on ammac. At the end of the day, Butcher can only put a team together with the money he has allocated by the Directors. The custodians of this club are responsible for EVERYTHING else so if they don't know how to make the match day experience attractive to customers it is high time they found somebody who can.
  20. At the moment, it seems his weaknesses outweigh his strengths so I'm afraid he's going to have to show a big improvement over the next few weeks or he will drift into the background. Like many others, he may show well in training but can't do it in game time - a problem HE has to solve.
  21. Maybe people should look above Butcher for the problems we are facing.
