Christie call up...
Well done to Ryan for his part in Scotland U21s win in Hungary last night! The Scots won 2-1, with Christie playing the whole of the 2nd half.

Travel for Scottish Cup Semi
While not all semis used to be at Hamden, the games that attract bigger crowds used to be played there. There is no way a Scottish Cup Semi against Celtic would be played anywhere other than Hampden if it was available. But the point is they don't have to be. This game could be played at a neutral venue, not in Glasgow, be a sell out and would still be able to be seen on TV. Atmosphere would be miles better that will be generated at Hampden. Still maintain the SFA could have had our game on the Saturday which would have been a bit better than the Sunday. On a personal level, having the game on a Sunday makes it more difficult for me to travel to so am in danger of not being able to attend. Having been at all our major cup semi finals before, this really annoys me. What 'neutral' venue do you have in mind?!

Partick Th -V- Inverness CT
At least we didn't pick up any bookings! And it seems Brill has recovered sufficiently to be included in the squad again. We had a player, Tarmo Kink, making his league debut, and we again halved Partick's winning margin over us in the league this season (4 goals, 2 goals, 1 goal) - so surely we're sussing them out!? No positives?!

Almost the 'full set'!
A chance beckons to complete the set! And to add another entry to the 'Milestones achieved' list. We managed to win at Firhill in the cup earlier in the season, so hopefully we can get the points tomorrow and edge nearer a European place!

Scottish Cup 2015 - Semi-finals
Very disappointing, but there was almost a feeling of inevitability about it. At least there may now be an announcement regarding dates!

ciftci again and again and again
Seems it's the default stance of managers to defend their players at all costs. Here's a cracking clip from a Stockport County game last month - a blatant 'assault', yet the manager still took his side, citing 'provocation'! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njQCuomonig

Despite an inauspicious start to his Wigan career, Billy has retained his place in the Northern Ireland squad for their forthcoming internationals.

Scotland Squad
Yep!, I reckon he'll be in a Scotland squad next year. As a non-Inverness player!! Strachan's best days at Aberdeen were in the 80s when Caledonian and Inverness Thistle were still playing Highland League - he'll obviously have a subconscious disdain for these clubs.

Just thought of another one. With Hughes having x2 'manager' awards this season, and Christie also having x2 'young player' - add in Draper's Player of the Month - that's 5 SPFL monthly awards the club has achieved - I've checked this! Another record! 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight) 2. Top 6 assured (earliest ever) 3. Cannot be relegated via the play-off (earliest ever) 4. ICT record for longest time without conceding a goal (616 minutes) 5. Joint record for number of Manager of the Month awards (2 for JH) 6. Pedantry alert! Changing no.6 to include 'Scottish Cup' as no.7 otherwise doesn't make sense! 1. Avoiding automatic relegation spot (earliest ever for us in top flight) 2. Shifty Ciftci
There's a poster on a Dundee United forum, with a 'legal' background who predicted that Ciftci would 'get off' due to an error in the wording of the citation. The Compliance Officer suggested Ciftci had 'deliberately' kicked a player on the head. The poster suggested that the word 'recklessly' would have been more appropriate and in that case, Ciftci would certainly have been found culpable. Apparently, from a legal standpoint, it's difficult to PROVE deliberate intent from video evidence - hence the not proven verdict. So, perhaps the Compliance Officer made a blunder!
