  1. We did have to play our Dunfermline semi-final replay at Pittodrie, but of course, the original tie was at Hampden. Semi-final replays are, happily, no more! At the semi and final stage, I think all fans want to see a result on the day.
  2. I guess we'll have to wait until after the Celtic v Dundee United replay - but I'd say it's likely our game will be on the Sunday. The semi-finals are similar to 2013 when it was Hibs v Falkirk (on the Saturday) and Dundee United v Celtic (on the Sunday).
  3. I imagine Billy and Sekajja's names are left there so that their 'stats' are still listed for the season. For example, in a few years anyone looking back at 2014/15 would see that Mckay scored 10 goals for us that season. I suppose it's more a season statistics list rather than 'current squad'. Unfortunately the BBC have fallen into the trap of thinking that Billy's goals left with him or simply disappeared. Their leading scorers list has no sign of Billy or Tony Andreu since they transferred clubs - it's as if their goals didn't happen!
  4. Yeah, they're on a tightrope!
  5. Disappointed to see that weather map - St Kilda's derby game against Rockall will be off again!

Geoff Boycott was going bananas about this loss! Radio Gold!
  7. The Celtic v Dundee United replay is on the 18th meaning they'll be playing each other in 4 consecutive games between 8th-21st March!! It's one for 'reconstruction' enthusiasts to jump on, pointing-out this farcical situation, but in reality, it's just a quirk in fixtures and is extremely unlikely! They'll be sick of the sight of each other, and already tension is high - there will be more red cards before these games are out! The weather looks favourable for our game tomorrow. Just catching up with some of the 'fall out' from the weekend. Some Raith fans were angry, but most accepted it was outwith our control - those who claimed we were to blame for being 'amateurish' were soon shot-down by more reasoned Raith supporters! A few, on route, still just kept going and came up despite hearing the match was off - and by accounts had a great time! A handful even went up to the County game - fair play! But they were bemused how that game went ahead when ours didn't, as the weather was decent! They reckon they'll get in the region of 100 fans for tomorrow.
  8. You could argue the same for Falkirk. Neither club has met Premiership opposition and one will obviously reach the final without having done so. Hibs have only taken 1 point from 9 against Falkirk this season, so the Bairns will fancy their chances too. I think we all identified a few rounds ago that this seasons competition was likely to see a lower league team go very far, as the Premiership clubs have continued to be drawn together - and it's happened again! Celtic & Dundee United will now probably be meeting in 4 consecutive games!! BetVictor bookies odds Celtic 8/13 Hibs 4/1 ICT 6/1 Dundee Utd 8/1 Falkirk 16/1 Raith 100/1
  9. Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Raith Rovers v Dundee United or Celtic Hibernian v Falkirk
  10. We'll soon know our fate! Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Raith Rovers Falkirk Dundee United or Celtic Hibernian
  11. ...he says after assuring us all that today's game was not under threat!
  12. BBC Radio Scotland have said they'll be covering it with live commentary.
  13. Yeah, that's when it's scheduled for.
  14. Pity it couldn't be played next Saturday as a Tuesday night will certainly reduce the gate. Probably now looking at around 2,800 for this game! I'm serious!
  15. Some old towels! We're not Ross County...that's how the Clootie Well started I suppose. Somewhere to hang them. But our towels are fresh from John Lewis.
  16. The draw is tomorrow. After the disappointing postponement today, we'll definitely be in the hat and will know our prospective semi-final opponents. It's been a while since we've been to Hampden - we should have been there last year but for the Commonwealth Games taking over the stadium. Many of our younger fans will not have witnessed us playing there - it's a huge incentive. Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Raith Rovers Falkirk - they consistently seem to do really well in the cup - would be a good draw for us though - plus the added 'spice' of Yogi's legendary status there! Dundee United or Celtic - Would love Celtic's treble to come crashing down here. I don't think we should fear United - they seem to have become a shadow of their previous selves after losing their two main players. As much as I don't agree that Ciftci should be involved here, I'd have a wry smile on my face should he be the match-winner! Hibernian or Berwick Rangers - Obviously, I fully expect Hibs to win this and as always, when they come close to the final of the Scottish Cup, the 1902 statistic will become forefront. It's now 113 years since they beat Celtic 1-0 in the final. It would be ironic if they finally ended that forever on-going sequence as a 'lower league' club!
  17. I suppose it's better having an early inspection rather than waiting until 11am or later. The (current) Edinburgh to Inverness train hasn't yet arrived in Kirkcaldy so some Raith fans will have heard the news before leaving. But there will be a good few on an earlier train left feeling gutted. They can disembark at Pitlochry and keep the part mood going - Mantis will show them a good time! Apologies for being flippant! It's incredibly frustrating when the weather wins.
  18. Why didn't someone start a thread yesterday about the possibility of a deluge threatening this game! It would likely have just got 'poo-pooed'!
  19. Refresh. Refresh. C'mon! Cheers caleydawson for the updates.
  20. It's a bit like Gary Warren being listed as playing a few games for Arbroath in 2005! Apparently it was a Garry Warren, signed from a Dundee Junior team - but those stats are on our Gary's record!
  21. That's a real shame for the guy. Was a very good player in his prime. Wish him well for the future.
  22. Oh come on - you're surely not suggesting they're the same poster!? Shaun thinks John Hughes is the best manager since sliced bread, whereas Mahonio started a thread calling for his head!
  23. ...and if we remove the 3 'minnows' from the other end of the table, you'll find Raith are second from bottom.
  24. I'm puzzled by this. I've looked closely at the video footage and agree that the player should have been 'cited' - with the resultant 2-game-ban. I found it very odd that Dundee United disputed the punishment, but I didn't give it much credence, assuming they were simply 'closing ranks' and it was more-fool-them for not accepting it and effectively losing him for an increased punishment of 3 games for contesting the obvious! These are not 'bread and butter' games either - this is the business end of the season when he's likely to be a key part of their team in the fixtures ahead. Something sits uneasily with me that they knew what they were doing. I actually don't believe Dundee United were naïve at all in challenging the original suspension - they have clearly had legal advice...and were encouraged to proceed with their appeal. It's the only conclusion I can come to. Somebody, somewhere knew that there was a 'loophole' and he would get off. It smacks of insider dirty dealings to me. I'm aware I'm casting aspersions here and am willing to retract my accusations - if the SFA can demonstrate how they came to this conclusion - but there's no transparency, so I'm not holding my breath!
  25. Update. (I'm just 'looking' at a section a day) Scottish Cup quarter-finalists 2013/14 and this year 2014/15 (but hopefully we'll go further!)
