Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
Disagree with you on the first point - both Eric and Doran didn't do anything right all day and performed terribly whenever they got the ball no matter what position. Perhaps if they'd had the chance to get in possession further up the park they'd have done things differently but I think they'd probably just have given the ball away further up. Agree with you on yoru second point. Nick Ross played deep in midfield in the 2-1 win against St Mirren and was excellent. He can carry the ball forward and pick a pass. Russell can grind things out, I'd like to see him and NIck given a shot in the middle.

Hibernian -V- ICT : matchday thread
I thought we did OK at the back - the first goal was a great hit, we could've closed him down quicker though, and the second was a deflected long ranger. Up front I thougth Rooney and Foran combined well. But in the middle, my goodness we were just abysmal. Eric looked lacking in confidence; Cox's first touch was horrible all day and he couldn't pick passes; Duncan worked hard and was the best of them and Doran didn't offer any threat whatsoever. We have a great front pairing but didn't serve anything up all day. Our distribution from the back was also very poor - Duff hitting numerous long balls to no-one and Munro also hitting a few aimless balls. To be fair to both neither are full backs so you can't expect them to do that job to the standard of someone who is used to playing there. We really needed someone in the middle taking charge - perhaps we need to go back tothe more fluid 4-2-3-1 formation rather than 4-4-2. With regards to Hibs they looked reasonably solid, far improved to some of the displays from them a few months ago. Their first goal was a humdinger and I also thought Liam Miller had a good game.

Channel 4 are making a documentary about Calderwood's time in charge of County called 'Big Fat Gypsy Manager'.

Stewarding issues
Yep. Basically if we took hundreds more fans who were the sort of tinky, low-life scumbags the Old Firm drag around Scotland in their wake then we could do what we want. As we have a relatively small, harmless support dickhead stewards rip the pish out of us.

Dundee saved
It's small unpaid debts that do in small companies. Other clubs probably have lists of creditors but the difference is they pay them. It's not quite as bad as Gretna's final list, which showed that they owed Sky Sports ?23.

This will be my first game this year.

Highlights
Saw the goals and save on Goals on SUnday - absolutely brilliant stop from Esson. The third goal was a great pass from Foran and a fine finish from Rooney. Clearly the best goal scored by someone called Rooney this weekend.

Scotland Squad for first Nations Cup match
Jonny Tuffey will probably start this game - the other keeper in the NI squad is from Linfield.
-
Yesterdays Attendance
Cup games have had lower attendances than league games for most clubs. Aberdeen's game yesterday had 5,600 at it. For all the hype and talk about the 'magic of the cup' cup ties have had lower attendances than league games for decades. Check out the crowds in England as well.

Scotland Squad for first Nations Cup match
I thought Bardsley was a right-back, I stand corrected.

Inverness CT sign Chris Hogg
My Hibbee mates say he was excellent a few seasons ago (club captain and player of the season) but faded under Yogi and LOLderwood. He's surprisingly young and has a lot of experience. I think he's a good signing.

What is the Nations Cup? My XI from that squad: ---------------------Gordon----------------------- ---Hutton----Berra--------Caldwell-----WilsonM---- -------------Fletcher------Adam------------------- -------Naismith-------Dorrans-------MOrrison------ ------------------Miller--------------------------- I'm sure all the Rangers players will pull out. Not sure who could play left-back in that squad either?

ICT fans on P&B
What a knob that guy is. I hate him. Are you just joking, or are you being serious? It's just that I hate him too, if your not joking. If you are joking, just forget I said anything. It's a joke, I am ICTChris on P&B and am now crying at your online bullying. I hope you're happy.
