  1. He's an absolute gent. At the home derby we lost 3-1 last season I saw him as we left and he said "Djebi-Zadi was *****". yes he was Daisy - yes he was.
  2. We played a lot better last night, certainly in the second half. It was good to see Fletcher having a good game for Scotland and we looked good going forward a few times. Guys like Dorrans, Morrison and Naismith were encouraging. The fact is we'll have to win our next three games to stand a chance and even that might not be enough. I really think the game in Prague could haunt Levein. They were throwing people into the Czech game, it was that bad.
  3. ----------------Esson--------------- ---Duff----Tokely----Munro---Shinnie-- -Hayes--Proctor--Duncan--Duncan-Ross--Foran- -------------------------------------------- 4-6-0 - it's the future.
  4. You can remember that game?
  5. We did only lose a goal from a set piece, which could have happened whatever the formation, but if you play with no striker you just invite pressure on yourself. It must have been terrible for someone like Graeme Dorrans, who played OK, to have to launch aimless long balls up the park simply because there was no-one there. A better formation would have been: -------------------McGregor------------------- ---Hutton-----Weir----McManus----Whittaker----- -----------------Caldwell--------------------- ---Naismtih---Dorrans---Fletcher----Morrison--- --------------------Miller--------------------- I just can't understand any reason to stick Mackie out wide instead of playing as above. 4-1-4-1 is hardly Ossie Ardiles style gung ho football. In fact, a player like Kenny Miller helps you defend from the front with his work-rate and energy. He'd also be able to pick up some balls played long and buy the defence a breather. What a disaster Levein is proving. I thought he might be a good appointment but it seems he's out of his depth, as he was a Leicester. If things continue like this we'll finish behind Lithuania, the Czechs and Spain in the group and he'll be out on his arse. If this is Walter Smith's last season at Ibrox, we should get him back in.
  6. Apparently total debts are over ?2,000,000? If they went into administration in 2003, how can they have run up that much debt until now? I presume that it's 'soft loans' to directors. It also seems that Melville's last investment was simply to cover the administrators fees. God save us from 'benefactors'. John Boyle, the Marrs, Callum Melville, Massano, Miles Brookson - disaster after disaster!
  7. If it's puff or blow you are looking for, give Richie Hart a phone.
  8. Derek Adams would be a hilarious choice as Hibs manager. As a manager he won the Second Division, fair enough, but he took over when the team were already top of the league and County were the only full-time team in the league. His first season in Division One saw him finish five points off relegation and then last season County's challenge fell away and they ended up mid-table, well off the pace. Their cup run was exactly that, a good run. You can't build a career off a cup run and that's what he'd be doing. I really don't think he'll get the job but he'd be hilariously out of his depth if he did. He'd make Frank Sauzee look like Mourinho!
  9. You'd have to check the annual accounts when they are released, they should have wage costs. The wage costs would be for everyone employed by tghe club rather than just players.
  10. A few ex-Caley players scoring today. Liam Fox scored for Livingston in their 3-1 loss to Ayr. Rory McAllister scored a hat-trick for Brechin in their 4-2 win over Peterhead. P'Head's goals were scored by Martin Bavidge and Dennis Wyness. Barry Wilson scored for Elgin in their 1-1 draw with Clyde. Bryan Gilfillan (Annan), Jamie Duff (Elgin) and Barry Wilson all got booked as well.
  11. Great result. Back home to the Gothenberg videos Dons fans!
  12. If only 2000 Dundee fans had bet on them blowing promotion in January then they wouldn't have to wrry about the taxman!
  13. Aberdeeb are ***** Don't think we'll win though.
  14. I also sent an email to St Mirren after the game on Saturday. Dear Sir/Madam, Yaaaaas, 2-1 you weegie overspill manky junkie tink! Going down, going down, going down - you butler managed ****. Kind Regards Chris I'll let you know when I get my reply.
  15. Meeting tonight ?365,000!!!!
  16. -------------------Esson--------------------- --Duff--------Tokely-----Munro-----Shinnie--- --------------Ross-----------Duncan---------- -------Hayes--------Odhiambo-------Foran------ ---------------------Rooney------------------- Butcher always picks my team, as seen on Saturday. Nick Ross was good in the middle after he came on - he did his defensive duties well which would be the biggest question mark over him, as well as hitting the post and bagging an assist for the first goal. Shinnie was a bit nervous early on but settled and I thought Duff did well at full back. To be absolutely honest, I still think our backline will struggle against better sides and Aberdeen look to have a couple of decent forwards, although Maguire might be suspended.
  17. NOTW interview with Melville What an absolute disgrace of an interview. Dundee appear to have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on players while owing HMRC ?250,000! Melville appears to be trying to blame HMRC for 'making an example' of Dundee and not giving them any leeway. What a lot of self-pitying nonsense. Try not paying your taxes for a while, then when you get caught offering to play less than half and see what happens.
  18. The Zionists back us now, what with us having a Jew and everything. I didn't think we played at our best yesterday - we pressed well and defended much, much better than we have done in the past few games but I thought that aside from Eric the front four were quiet. Hayes had a few good moments but also wasted the ball a few times, unlike him, Rooney didn't really get a sight at goal and Foran looked as though he was just getting back into his stride. If they had all played as well as Eric did we would have scored more I think. Looking back one of the most pleasing things was seeing Nick Ross come on and play so well in the centre of the park. I must admit I've had my doubts about him but yesterday he looked very good indeed.
  19. Johnny Hayes, Johnny Hayes, Johnny Johnny Hayes
  20. Odhiambo, Odihambo, Odi-Odihambo, Odi-Odihambo
  21. After last night's drubbing, I am apprehensive about this game. We have now condeded ten goals in three games (and the opposition missed a penalty in one). Our back line looks very brittle, has no pace and is low on confidence. We also don't have players back in time to change it. On the positive side, Foran's back playing and showed in the first ten minutes of the first half that he is an important player for us. --------------------Esson------------------------- ---Proctor---Tokely-------Munro----Shinnie------- --------------Duff--------Duncan------------------ -----Hayes-----------Odhiambo---------Foran------- ------------------Rooney-------------------------- It's harsh to drop Nick Ross but this is a vital, vital game and Richie's physical power and experience will be invaluable. Shinnie was OK last night and with Golly looking poor he deserves a chance. It's better than playing Rosscoe there - with Innes injured we need him at centre-half. Does anyone know if McCann is avaialble? If he is then he should be straight into the XI.
  22. We lost 5-0 at Parkhead to Celtic in 2007 - next game we beat Hearts 2-1 at home. We lost 5-0 at Ibrox to Rangers in 2008 - next game we beat Hibs 2-1 away.
  23. Odhiambo, Odi-Odihambo
  24. He didn't score but Don Cowie set up three goals as Watford beat Millwall 6-1 at the New Den.
  25. He is injured. Apparently Jim Jeffries didn't want to sign him but Romanov brought him in anyway.
