Who needs Novo when you've got Tade!

Stuart Duff
I can't say I'll be shedding any tears over this news!

A Time to Attack
From the Highlands News - "After we lost the opening goal, I think the players grew into the new system and we started to play some of the best passing football possibly in my time at the club."

Double signing
Well well, looks like the Renegade was right (or sort of anyway...)! According to this, Butcher wants to play a diamond system with Ross and Tansey on each wing with Hayes down the middle. I think that could work well with Hayes as a central winger kind of position.

Yeovil V Inverness C.T - Matchday Thread
Just out of interest, what kind of style of football did ICT play? We're hearing bits here and there about Butcher playing a different style next season, so was it more of an on-the-deck mentality, or the old hoofs up the park?

Would you ever take Darren Dodds back?
I take it that's a joke, yeah?

INS AND OUTS ?
Whatever happened to the Gardyne rumours? Were they not true, or did it just not happen?

Gary Mackay-Steven
He could turn out to be a great player if he stays injury free.

It should also be mentioned that Butcher is one of the few players to have a criminal record due to his antics in an actual game. Breach of the peace I think he has.

Stuart Duff
I think the fact that Duff hasn't made his mind up yet says it all for me. It's obvious that he doesn't want to be here because if he did he would have re-signed by now. He hasn't even played even as a trialist in any of the friendly matches. If he has other issues (personal etc.) then why not come out and say it? I'm sure the fans and the management wouldn't mind, but that doesn't seem to be case. If he doesn't want to be here, forget him. I won't miss him.

The Pre-Season Thread
Following on from what others have said, I reckon that this period just now could be one of the most defining moments of the last few years. Next season will really show what this club is made of. - will it become a truly established SPL or will it eventually disappear from where whence it came. Getting rid of a couple of experienced, established players was a massive gamble in the hands of Butcher. If he gets it right, then the future could be bright for ICT, if he gets it wrong, then it could have disastrous consequences.

Not any more. A great centre back while he was here, but he must be a bit old and past it now.

What's the big deal of whether of he's injured or not? If Butcher knows how good he is, then why didn't he just sign him while he was still injured? I highly doubt that he'd sign the contract and then suffer the consequences of his injury by dropping dead!

The Pre-Season Thread
I have to say that I sort of agree to a certain extent. I've only seen many of these new signings once and on the whole, only Tansey I thought looked like a particularly good capture. There's hasn't been a signing this time round, and there hasn't been one for quite some time where I've gone "Yes, this man WILL improve the team", and from what I've seen so far, none of these new signings really look like the sorts I'll be doing cartwheels over. This team has potential - that I do believe, but it just needs one or two big players to come in and that could turn this team from perhaps a decent one into a good one.

Another Hearts player misbehaving
I see he's offski now. The footballing wilderness awaits I reckon.

The Pre-Season Thread
Why do you always bring up the old chestnut of saying it's because of the "Butcher Out" thread you started, nearly a year ago (which wasn't even the first one you made)? How do you know that this "targeting" is specifically because of that thread, which you seem to blame for every red dot you have ever gotten? You also fail to mention that in that "apology thread", you got 12 green dots. It should be noted as well that you asked for match updates this time last season and got a similar reaction - and this was before the Celtic 6-0 game. Personally, I think you wouldn't get so many if you got over it and stopped commenting every time one comes your way.

Cheers to the future
Was nothing to do with wage demands what so ever I can assure u of that much at least. I heard it was about the captaincy.

Stuart Duff
If he doesn't want to be here, let him go. He ain't that good.
-
Liam Molesworth
But then it would still involve him in some way would it not?
-
Liam Molesworth
How can it be "personal reason" that "don't involve him"? That's a bit of an oxymoron is it not.

What was this ref thinking?
Was it a female ref as well, I suspect it was?
-
Liam Molesworth
He's not best please - "All time high to the lowest point in my life in the space of an hour." "basically been released due to non fball reasons which doesnt hve nethin to do with me or my ability. shame football is political." The last seems to be the most intriguing, but what does he mean? Is he talking about some unknown agenda inside ICT, or his he just bitter at not being signed up?

Liam Molesworth
Keen to sign next week according to his Twitter. Broken his iPhone as well! http://twitter.com/#.../liammolesworth Edit - Now I might be totally wrong here, but going by some of the messages on his Twitter, this might be the same guy -

Merged: Transfers
I thought Eric was more of a donkey to be honest.

Dani Sanchez
It wouldn't surprise me if Steve Paterson has come into play here. According to his book, he and Ricki Herbert were/are big friends from the time they played together at Sydney Olympic. I also must mention, that I went to a Wellington Phoenix game a few years ago. Not a bad team actually and they had that Shane Smeltz up front. He looked the business (scored against Italy in the last World Cup actually) but I think he's gone now (Gold Coast perhaps?). I'll also add that from what I saw, I'd put Wellington as about upper Scottish First Division level. The A League is a bit more of a technical league as well, mainly due to the fact that the Australians hate the long ball game, so the style and standard of football over there may well be more beneficial to Dani Sanchez than it was in this country.
