  1. Iain Stewart was from Lossiemouth for £35,000.
  2. I'm sure Shane Sutherland was signed from Wick.
  3. I see in the Welsh league the Llanelli striker Rhys Griffiths (who is 6"3 by the way) has a goal record for Llanelli of 180 goals in 181 appearances! The standard might be poor, but he must be some finisher! Edit - Apparently a few seasons back his league goal record was 30 goals in one season. The season after he scored 40 in the one season!
  4. I've always said that there must be a couple of players in the Highland League that are worth looking at, Maybe not straight away, but with a bit of training and some bedding in, there must be some that could potentially become great players for the team.
  5. I remember Cwmbran Town playing Celtic when they had Barnes in charge. TNS used to be one of the better teams along with Bangor and Aberystwyth Town. It's basically SFL3/Highland League standard though from what I gather.
  6. Any news on Gillet? And what about Jones? He seemed quite keen to stay a while back.
  7. Indeed, but I can't say I have faith in Butcher to find the players necessary to replace those he punted or ones good enough to make a team even to the standard of last seasons.
  8. Tokely says "he wonders if the manager really wanted to keep him". Butcher's comments seem to suggest he wanted rid of him. On your last comment, all I can say is . You're going to get a surprise or two when you see the state of how things really are.
  9. I said Butcher wanted Tokely gone and had done for some time. I said Butcher had danced up a rubbish offer knowing Tokely would turn it down and save Butcher's skin, in an obvious repeat of the Munro debacle. Tokely thinks that this could well be the case. Butcher comments alludes that he wanted rid. I was blasted as a "conspiracy theorist". Looks like I turned out to be right....
  10. Hate to say I told you so.....
  11. Am I not right in saying that Bennet's position as DoF was only a three day a week thing and was essentially unpaid?
  12. I just checked one of the programmes and Bennet is now down as "Vice Chairman".
  13. That to me sounds like Butcher wanted him gone.
  14. I don't think you can put financial trouble as the reason as to why attendances are dropping. It seems to be a bit of a trend with Butcher actually. Sydney's attendances plummeted while he was there with his kick and rush approach being the main reason why.
  15. I think Gavin Skelton might have done it with Gretna.
  16. About five seconds in.
  17. Hang on I've heard this before somewhere... Oh...
  18. If you think that's bad, a previous design for the North Stand showed that the club at one time intended to call it "The Dolphin Stand"!
  19. I didn't say I'd have kept McBain, I said I wouldn't have minded keeping him, if he wanted to of course (Wyness by the way was mostly rubbish in his second spell and punting him was one of the few things Brewster got right!). Duncan may have been loaned out by County, but not all clubs are the same, not all players fit in different squads in the same way and I doubt you'd have complained had he been offered a new deal. I'm sorry I can't be the forever optimist like you, but unlike you I go to ICT games on an extremely regular basis and can only comment on what I see, what I hear, the research I've done and the way I feel the club is going. Butcher's had his moments when it worked and I congratulated him for promotion at the time but all things run their courses and I'm not going to kid on that I think is everything is fine and am not fearing relegation next season. There's people on this site who, if Butcher claimed the sky was green, would argue that it was so. I am not one of them. I am not a lemming, I am not a happy clapper, I am a Renegade.
  20. I think the thing is, Butcher went out saying that there would be a new team for 2011-12. Why? There was really nothing wrong with the squad he had. Rooney and Innes were away and then should've got rid of the deadwood of mainly Golabek, Odhiambo and Max Johnson - I even wouldn't have minded keeping McBain in case of emergencies - I'd rather have seen him play this season than Gnapka, that for sure! He then would've kept the bulk of the squad (a squad that came very close to a top six finish) and brought in Golobart, Andrew Shinnie, Davis, Tade, McKay and Jones. That would've been a decent team and would've had enough there to compensate the loss of Rooney. But no, Butcher punts Munro, Duncan and Dani Sanchez all of whom were better the some of the duds he brought in and some, like Aldred and Gnapka, didn't want to be here. That's what a good manager would have done. Sadly though, that's not what he is.
  21. For a player with such affinity for the club and one who is still a first team regular to turn down a deal shows that it must have been a pretty poor one that he was offered. Butcher's hitlist is now complete, just as I told you that this was what he desired. He'll be the one who can say that Tokely left on his own accord, but we all know the truth is really anything but. Butcher now has a big job on his hands, and if he gets this wrong will be following Tokely out the door in the not too distant future.
  22. It's interesting to note how many players come to ICT saying how big a pull Terry Butcher is for them when they decide to come to the club. But how big a pull for them is he in making them want to stay?
  23. Aye, he was big and steady. We've certainly seen worse in the side. I'm actually quite happy to hear McKay has signed. Not really much of a goalscorer, but a hard worker and holds the ball up well. The mindboggling tactics played by Butcher in regards to him though have not helped mind. The "kick and rush in his direction" style he's got so little to work with and the little support he has up top means that he may as well stay at home!
  24. Oh dear that is bad news. Sadly, sounds like my previous posts about Butcher's plan to knock the final one off his hitlist is very likely indeed. Hate to say I told you so...
  25. Someone posted a few weeks back that the chances of him coming back are slim after he fell out with Foran a while back.
