For the last game was that Thin Lizzy song "The Boys Are Back In Town" I think. It might not have been but I'm pretty sure that was it. Don't know about the rest though.

Or Black or Rankin or Dods or Mihadjuks or Brown, I could go on and on. And I take it he was also seething at seeing David Proctor, Richard Hastings and Barry Wilson all back on the ICT pitch!

Esson's apparently been offered a one year deal but wants a two year deal but wants a two year one, and Tokely is considering ICT's offer, and one from a Turkish side, according to the above poster on P&B.

Did anyone else hear the TV commentator say that Barrowman was at County on loan? Surely that must be a mistake!

I doubt they thought of it at all, and why would they? There'd be no demand for an open top bus, it would be rather disruptive, pretty expensive and after all, it's only the 1st Division ICT have won, it ain't the SPL or the Champions League.

I'm seem to recollect them saying a few months ago that they've got the planning ready to make it SPL size, and it could be done over a pre-season.

Proctor did used to play for them mind.

I probably would have done, but I don't have Sky. And whilst it is true that both Portsmouth and Chelsea have almost certainly better technical players, both Ross County and Dundee United have both been said to be playing a good attack minded, passing based style of football this season, but sadly that game didn't show much of it.

The games over now people, let's move on and life goes on.

Here's the thing with those feeling "sickened" by the sign, it says "good luck" not "We hope you win". In some ways I think it was a nice touch, I doubt County would do the same for ICT, but that shows that ICT are bigger than that and above that. Something the club should always aim to be. Personally I can't be bothered joining in with either of these gangs. I watched the final, most of which was nothing special and County were beaten by the better team. The didn't do themselves justice with that performance. I'm not a County fan, I have no love for them, and I also have no time for this childish plastic attitude that's sprung up of "I'm an ICT fan so I must hate County by default". I support ICT and that is all. Dundee United won - who cares? County got beat - who cares? I personally am not bothered either way.

He was also keen to get back to the SPL. Something he saw as a shoe-in with Dundee.

Imrie was a bit of funny sort of player. At times he showed that he had the ability and could be a very effective player. A prime example of this was his final home game for ICT against Motherwell, where he played, it would be fair to say, outstandingly. Unfortunately these performances were few and far between. A lot of the time Imrie was either ineffective or uninterested, only becoming interested when he could show off and pretend he was some world class winger who should of been playing at a much higher level. I have never seen, in all the countless games that I've been too, and the countless teams I've seen, a winger who was so selfish, that I have very few memories of him ever crossing the ball at all. Instead of doing the normal and usually the most effective action of a winger, such as dribbling to the bi-line and then crossing the ball into the box, he would get to the bi-line and try and charge in on his own. It seldom, if ever worked and epitomised everything about him. In many ways, Dougie Imrie never did play for ICT, he played only for himself. What's the old football adage? "He who plays for the team, plays for himself. He who plays for himself, plays for the opposition". So what it was with Mr Imrie. This incredible level of selfishness, was capped off with a massive amount of arrogance, both on and off the field said all the needed to be said. I'm sure we've all heard the stories of his merry capers in Inverness, we may even know some of the people involved, and I'm sure somewhere down the line we've all heard that immortal line used by Mr Imrie at every opportunity - "Don't you know who I am?" Unfortunately we do Dougie. Goodbye and good riddance. You will not be missed.

And how could I forget?

I see in today's Daily Record, Hastings claims he has no regrets about leaving ICT and going to Hamilton. He then goes onto say that he didn't enjoy his last few months here (I'm guessing that would be since Butcher came in), due to his belief that he was treated "unacceptably".

Can I please just request, that if ICT ever make to a major final, there isn't some naff song to go with it. I've just heard the County...............it's not very good.

He used to be one of my favourite players but in his last couple of seasons for ICT he was pretty bad.

The ever reliable IHE claims that Ipswich v ICT will be a friendly. Don't know if it's home or away though. Chances are there'll be a game against Clach at Grant Street (if they're still going of course), and probably Elgin City and Peterhead. There'll almost certainly be one against Ross County too.

I was going to start a thread on badges myself actually. Isn't it interesting how many teams have an eagle sitting on a ball? There's quite a few.

But there's arrogant and arrogant . He sure has made the most the most out of his football life and I'm sure we've all heard the (probably true) stories about him and his merry capers. And we'll never forget that infamous that we've heard somewhere from Mr Imrie along the way - "Don't you know who I am?".

Didn't you start your own birthday thread last time?! But really, you must be pretty depressed if you need someone on a football forum to start a Happy Birthday thread to have a happy birthday! I've never had one, nor would I want one.
