6 players let go
Goodbye Lionel. I will miss you.

Can ICT win the SPL?
Someone outside the Gruesome Twosome has to win it eventually.

Our Season in a Nutshell
Click on the blog bit at the top of the page and have a wee read of the first couple of sentences of the start of the first one that comes up!

Dundee release 16 Players
Why not both?

Supporting England?!?
From what I can see, this ABE thing is one of these smokescreens that show up from time to time. It's a great cloke to hide behind for the dimwitted racist morons to spout their views. That's not to say that everyone who supports ABE is a racist, but for everyone who has racist views towards England, it's a great platform.

1st game of new season - who do you want?
I think the SPL rules say that the newly promoted team start with a home tie against a lower SPL team. I have a feeling that it'll be Hamilton first.

Supporting England?!?
I can, that bloke Bougerra at Rangers. That's all I can think of though.

Dundee release 16 Players
I see Derek Soutar's signed for some team in Cyprus. Maybe he'll see Juanjo.

Predictions - Killie v Falkirk
Why is it every time I see Steven Pressley interviewed these days, the way he speaks and his angry starey eyes, make me think he's on drugs?

Player of the Decade
I think Niculae would win the prize for "Overrated Player of the Decade", "Overpaid Player of the Decade" (a fight between him and Barrowboy) and him and Dean McDonald would be in contention for "Laziest Player of the Decade" too.

Supporting England?!?
I'm finding all this ABE stuff extremely cringeworthy.

I take it Bendiksen is a hint then?

Kyle Allison - released ?
And the pump-it-up-the-park fanatical manager that he had in Craig Brewster.

Kyle Allison - released ?
I really wouldn't want Fraser back. His shot stopping alone was okay but his distribution was terrible. It was the same every week. Fraser would catch the ball, hold it, hold it, hold it some more, look around, hold it some more (by now the whole away team is back in position), he then hold it a bit more...............and then boot the ball as high and as hard up the park as he could. It was even a breadth of fresh air when Zibi would get a game as even he wouldn't put up with that nonsense. I don't think Michael Fraser was even aware that it was was physically possible to catch the ball and quickly throw it out to a full back. Lucky with Ryan Esson now in goal, these things have changed.

SPL potential
Had a wee scan look Soccerbase, and it looks like that about towards the end of SPL Season 1 and the start of SPL Season 2 Golly seemed to be in and out of that role, usually only moving forward when Hastings came back into the side.

6 players let go
:004: how an earth was it the right decision to let him go. IMHO he was one of the most promising youngsters to ever grace TCS and look at him now. Whilst I rated him highly as a player, his attitude was apparently pretty bad and was consistently late for training.

Motherwell v Hibs

6 players let go
You're missing my point entirely. I would never criticise anyone for not being able to attend games. I myself have been in the situation where it was impossible to attend games. What has my point to do with this thread? It has everything to do with this thread. You're giving an opinion on a whole bunch of players, yet you've only physically attended one game this season. To me that makes you unqualified to give a proper opinion. Look at it this way. I myself have only attended two away games this season. Some people claim that certain players play better away from home. That may be true, it may not be, but I myself would never give an opinion on a certain player's away performances. Why? Because I am in no qualified position to do so. You even back up one of your points by saying that a player walked out slowly! Says it all really.

Post-Match Thread : ICT -V- Dundee
I know it's a bit late, but ah, who cares? It was a good day. The game was a bit dull, some of the players looked like they were already on their holidays, but some of the football was quite good with Munro and Golly (usually the main offenders) seeming less keen to punt the ball forward at every opportunity and rather look for the pass. Cox, Hayes and Tokely were really good. Esson had a couple of good saves and the rest were fine. No-one you could say had a bad game, but Bully looked hot and cold at times. The wooden spoon award goes to Rod Stewart (was that really him?)'s sound system - rubbish, but he was sure good with that microphone stand! I liked how Butcher announced all the players on individually on, that was a nice touch. And those were certainly some cool pyrotechnics! One last point though, that crowd surge at the end. Was it just me or was it a bit short? I seem to remember in 2004 the pitch invasion lasted ages and IIRC there was a second one as well afterwards. We just seem to run on, and then run back off again. A bit tame, but I can't complain.

English Premiership Club Salaries Leaked
Those amounts show just how hideous these people are paid.

6 players let go
That's some great expert opinion for that lot from someone who was only at one game!

Youth Players
What about Michael Fraser? He came through the ICT youth system (I think) and was playing in the SPL just last week.

SPL potential
IIRC in ICT's first couple of seasons in the SPL, Golabek was mainly used as a left midfielder.

6 players let go
For me the only mistake there is letting Duff go. The handful of times I saw him play I thought he looked like a capable and sturdy centre-half. IIRC Duff was thought by some to go on and be ICT captain one day, but obviously his bad injury did him no favours for this season and for Butcher's decisions.

Motherwell v Hibs
I was actually referring to the record for the highest scoring draw, but the Australia result was from a 2001 game against American Samoa which they won 31-0. That's the record for the biggest win in international football.] Edit - Apparently the last time there was a 6-6 draw was in August 1999 in the Belgian League when Genk drew with Westerlo.
