  1. Leaving Foran out for Blumenshtein yesterday wasn't exactly a huge success.
  2. Brilliant post, Naelifts! Please send a copy of that to the Perthshire Perisher, and to Chief Inspector Bob Plod of Perth & Kinross Constabulary.
  3. TB now saying in this morning's P&J that players will have to leave before more can be brought in. I don't think Blumenshtein is ever going to cut it here, despite being out with an injury for several weeks. I can't think of anyone else I would want to see move on - it's not like we've got a huge squad right now.
  4. I was shocked by this case, where a Tomintoul based ambulance driver refused to respond to a 999 call because he was on his tea break. The call had come from the partner of a young lady who had suffered a blood clot and had stopped breathing. They lived about 800yds from the ambulance station. By the time the next nearest ambulance arrived (from Grantown) the lady was dead. The Scottish Ambulance Service suspended Owen McLauchlan, (the driver) and launched an investigation into his conduct. They have now concluded that he should keep his job, but should also have more training!! I find that decision astounding. Although I'm not in possession of all the facts in this case, I think I would have quickly concluded that here was a young man, who was obviously not well suited for employment in the Ambulance Service.
  5. Agree about Duncan, but totally disagree about Cox.
  6. True enough, Lizi.... But I think you'll find when he is back in the team, we might just start winning some games again. It's not just his contribution that makes ICT tick, it's the fact that he tends to bring out the best, and clearly inspires his team-mates - especially the likes of Rooney, who obviously sees much more of the ball when Jonny's around. When he's on form, fit and in the mood he gives the fans a lift as well. I was at the Hearts game btw, and I agree he did appear to have an off day that day but there was obviously something far wrong with him - he should not have started that game.
  7. Sound like Roy and Stuart Golabeck will play in this one. Listen here
  8. I think if you asked Foran and Rooney what was wrong with the team you might get the same answer! Those teams that have done well against us have paid particularly close attention to him, but even then, he is still a major handful. For me, he is definitely the lynchpin around which the team revolves. I don't think it is a coincidence that our recent slump in form began with, and is continuing with his absence. .
  9. There's not a hell of a lot wrong with the team - a fit, in form, and in the mood Jonny Hayes will soon see us picking up plenty of points again.
  10. Doesn't look like Blumenshtein's going to be the answer to any our problems. Did anyone hear if he was subbed at half-time because of an injury?
  11. Hard to bear.... especially after Eric's effort at the other end.
  12. 0-0 halftime.... I'll be happy enough if it stays that way.
  13. Both Foran and Duncan were disppointing in the last two home games. I haven't seen much from Gil to get excited about so far this season, but I hope he makes the most of his start today.
  14. Duncan and Foran dropped. Controversial.
  15. Didn't Fergie sign Andy Goram on loan a few years ago?
  16. No,I wouldn't have had Brown in that statement if he had still been here, and I'm not blinkered or paranoid. Esson is a far better keeper than Mark Brown and more than capable of taking over from McGregor.
  17. Best wishes and a Happy New Year to you, Smee and Georgeios, and to everyone else on here who makes me laugh!
  18. If this is true, I hope TB has a word with Craig Brown, who landed on his erse when he took on that job.
  19. So very predictable - way past its sell by date.
  20. I understand he will be out for a while yet - his knee is the problem, and now requires surgery.
  21. I understand it's almost a done deal and it looks like he is Manchester bound. Rangers are seriously cash strapped and will be forced to let him go. See here. If I was Walter, Esson's the man I'd want to replace him. Whatever happens there is bound to be a goalkeeper re-shuffle in Scotland. Can Caley afford to keep two top class keepers on their books?
