  1. Mark saved a penalty against Celtic in our first SPL season at Pittodrie. Didn't get the accolade he deserved as they scored from the rebound. Does that count as a penalty save?
  2. Yeah.... This was a stroll in the park today for our lads... A nice little work out in preparation for the big one next Saturday at Parkhead. Even with us gifting the Hibees a couple of goals the result was a foregone conclusion right from the kick off.
  3. Anyone heard if Richie Foran is (a) fit? (b) Likely to play?
  4. Of course you're entitled to your opinion, KB, and I'm trying to deal with it but I'm finding it very hard. IHE's kindly offered to arrange a course of counselling sessions for me, but I'm not sure if that will suffice. I'll try again! If you rate Pele extremely highly, why haven't you read his book? If you did read it you would have a much better understanding as to the value of Shearer's contribution to ICT, and just how much it was valued by his boss at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they teamed up again sometime in the future.
  5. You should try reading Pele's book - it might just give you a different perspective on Big Dunc. But then again, maybe you don't rate him very highly either....
  6. Just heard that Nick, in common with the rest of the U21 side, doesn't get to keep the shirt he wore last night on winning his first Scottish cap. That was always an established tradition, and it goes back more years than I can recall. How pathetic is it of the SFA to insist that - even if it's your first cap for Scotland, you don't get to keep the shirt you proudly wore when called up to represent your country. Penny pinching taken to extremes.
  7. Hope that will give his confidence a boost for Saturday.... Well done young nick!
  8. Because Scotland are much better off for good keepers than N.Ireland...
  9. Heilandee's a smashing guy..... I always enjoy reading his contributions on here, and he always settles his gambling debts in full and on time. Not a very good golfer though.....
  10. Adam's comments will surely give the game a bit of added spice.... I just hope that TB will make sure that every single team member reads that article - it would be especially nice to drive another nail into that myth that ICT only perform away from home, and sicken Adams at the same time.
  11. All my adult life I've only ever supported one team. :ictscarf:
  12. Derek Adams planning to cast a spell on ICT!
  13. Some decent performances from some of the Scots fringe players tonight - currently 3-0 up against the might of the Faro Isles. Good for Aberdeen folk to see some decent football at Pittodrie.
  14. Good post! Rooney doesn't appear to be in a big hurry to sign a new contract, and if he doesn't we should listen to offers for him in January.
  15. Strangely, I'm more confident of getting at least a draw from Parkhead, than I am about getting a win against the Hibs on Saturday. The Hibs game is the one we should be focused on right now.
  16. Nobody know any old Caley keepers in the plumbing/heating trade?
  17. I can sense a heated argument brewing up here. My initial reaction to Stan's post was disappointment,. but I've read it several times now and.... He, and the group of veterans he refers to, are right, although I wouldn't agree that WW1 and WW2 were "unnecessary conflicts" My fervent hope is that someday in my lifetime, Tony Blair and George W Bush will be called to account for all those who have been killed or maimed in Iraq and Afghanistan and ordered to stand trial for war crimes. . .
  18. I wouldn't have appreciated you trying to engage me with Macbeth either, but keep these match reports coming. It's just the way he walks, Georgeios.....
  19. Thanks for your help, Georgeios...phoned him this morning - he's very busy but is coming to have a look at it next week.
  20. Didn't the poppies fall off when they started running around?
  21. Think you are right about that and I would prefer to see your selection than the suggested TB selection. I suspect that Foran is always so desperate to play, he makes light of his stomach muscle problem, but it is clearly affecting his play, and he should be rested. He could create serious long term problems if he insists on trying to play through the pain barrier.
  22. Johnboy's got a central heating boiler in need of a service. Can anyone suggest or recommend someone? Corgi registered, black labrador registered is not important! Feel free to PM me.
  23. Great interview with TB.... As the man said Brewster would never have approved of fish suppers washed down with a couple of pints!
