  1. Esson waved his hands about a little there. I thought we'd scored........
  2. It is a very funny way to watch football. From our point of view, as long as we can't see the ball then things are going well. Did anyone see Messi's 3rd goal? The boy thinks he's Ian Stewart.
  3. That's feckin brilliant. Just watched the lot and really enjoyed it.
  4. I agree with SMEE.

    WTF?

Flashing pain in the chest, radiating down the left arm...........................and then a huge sigh of relief. Well done birdog.
  6. The team that's been playing for the last few weeks contains no fewer than 5 of the squad that was promoted in 2004 - Tokely, Proctor, Munro, Golabek and Duncan. In Esson and Foran we also have experienced campaigners and strong characters. Add to the mix the youthful vibrancy brought by Rooney, Hayes and Cox and we have a really good blend. The formation is also very well balanced and can be adapted to attacking or defensive football depending on the situation. But the most adaptable tool at our disposal has been the manager. He started the season with a very different team playing in a very different formation and he saw that it wasn't working and (eventually) made the neccessary changes. Since then, the team have grown in confidence, and with that has come the steel to go and win 1-0 at Firhill, something we would never have done in the first half of the season.
  7. I thought you had already accepted the need for the state to protect people from unsafe drugs earlier in the thread. Who do you think is going to provide the information and regulation that you speak of? The companies who produce the drugs? There are countless examples of companies who are willing to mislead the public about the safety of their products in order to sell more of them. If we are subject to unregulated advertising and marketing then our sentinence is compromised. It is essential that the state educates its citizens and regulates the companies who seek to sell to them in order to allow us to make choices that are informed by evidence rather than advertising.
  8. I agree. For his leadership, work-rate and experience as well as his considerable footballing talent. That's not to say we can't cope without him on Saturday, it's just that over the course of the season i think he's been the most important player.
  9. I wonder if Johnboy's onto something here. Where was Lionel playing last night? Is Butcher considering this: -----------------------ESSON------------------- PROCTOR-----TOKELY-----MUNRO-------GOLLY ----------------DUNCAN----COX-------------- HAYES------------ODHIAMBO-----------DJEBI-ZADI ---------------------ROONEY------------------ I think it's worth a spin.
  10. Of course you're old enough. The mann4thejob's only 15!
  11. Exactly. He looked uncomfortable with the abuse he was taking the last time we were in Dingwall. Unfortunately the team couldn't put him under any pressure. He's a young, inexperienced goalkeeper so we should get stuck right into him - fans and team.
  12. Does anyone know why that game was played on a Saturday? Was it an international day? I thought i might find the answer to this question by googling "inverness cup final" 1995, but this just leads to threads from 2003 where ICTChris and Charles Bannerman are reminiscing about that great afternoon at Clach park.
  13. That was great. Robbo shouts goal and the cheers of the crowd make it clear that we scored it. I'm relieved.
  14. They were due to plat Ayr that midweek. Apart from this week, County won't have another free midweek until the end of the season. If they get to the semis then that's another postponment - will they make them play 3 times in a week or extend the season? Either way, they're bound to start dropping a few more league points soon.
  15. Ayr @ 2.25
  16. Where can i find a pot calling the kettle black smiley?
  17. Nearly half of the team that won on Tuesday night played in the team of 2004 - Tokely, Munro, Proctor, Golabek and Duncan. I think that might stand us in good stead in the run-in. The other half of the team is potentially as exciting as the 2004 team, but we do lack the experience brought by the likes of Ritchie, Wilson and Bingham. This the team that won on the final day while i was asleep: Brown, Tokely, Golabek, Mann, McCaffrey, Hart, Wilson, McBain, Ritchie, Keogh, Bingham. Subs: Munro, Proctor, Thomson, Hislop, Fraser.
  18. The REAL Leigh Griffiths Blog This is great stuff. It can only get funnier as Dundee's season moves slowly down the pan.
  19. I was watching the Champions League but i'm having much more fun looking at the First Division table and fixture list now.
  20. It's the first time we've scored the opening goal at TCS since the 12th of December.
  21. Wooooohooooooooooooooooooooo
  22. As many folk have said throughout this thread, we still have a chance of winning the league. There's still a third of the season left and so there's still time for things to go horribly wrong, but i'm delighted that we're in with a wee shout and i find it strange that so many folk on this week's matchday thread seem ready to write off our chances.
  23. Nothing. Writing my dissertation but dreaming of Dens. I've had a couple of phone calls form Caley100 after the goals. It's sounding very boisterous.
