  1. Did you hear their new chant tonight. Nana nana nana nana na naaa na na Nana nana nana nana na naaa na na He's five foot ten with thinning hair We wanted Adam but we don't care Wa-ayne Rooney United's number nine High praise indeed for Adam.
  2. As we get ever closer, I'm sure that hissssssssssss is getting louder.
  3. It appears a poorly handled situation by both parties here. There should have been some form of communication prior to this. And this should have happened both ways surely. Maybe in the harsh light of day you need to go to the stadium and speak to the financial people to see where the problem has arisen. There is a reason for everything. It may just be human error on behalf of either party, but don't give up on your freedom of choice to support who you want. Keep supporting Kid, you are too far down the line to give up now.
  4. I doubt Dundee will finish in the top three this season.
  5. Not quite, looks like Richie Foran's granny has voted.
  6. Why, he might want to try SPL football next year.
  7. Hard fought win tonight. Proctor played at right back with Tokely in place of Bulvitis. Eric kept his place. He started slowly but the more attacking we did, the more prominent he became. Jonny Hayes, despite that haircut was teasing the Queens defence and Richie Foran was doing his usual stint, some great running on the left flank. The defence looked a bit hesitant at times and Proctor almost gifted an opening with a loose ball played across the face of our box. Hesitancy between the new pairing let Queens in but the attack was snuffed out eventually. Esson came to our rescue when Queens played in Holmes I think. He was on his own eighteen yards out but Ryan stood tall and blocked him as he tried to round him. An important save at that stage of the game. We threatened at the other end without troubling the keeper, Rooney curling just over from 20 yards. Hayes was probing, but the crosses were usually met with the head of big Marvin Andrews. Just before the break, Foran met a deep cross from Cox on the left side of the goal area and knocked it back across the box where Rooney arrived on the scene and knocked it in. We almost scored at the start of the second half but the ball was cleared off the line and scrambled clear. We were starting to look more dangerous now. Rooney scored number two when little Jonny headed onwards and as he held off the defender he unleashed a shot from the edge of the box. It took a slight nick off the defenders challenge and beat the diving Hutton high up his right hand side. Superb diagonal runs by Rooney were threatening to realise more goals. Queens were thrown a lifeline when a needless challenge by Proctor or Munro brought down Weatherston on the left edge of the box. No danger of the Queens player going anywhere but the challenge was adjudged to be unfair and Holmes sent Esson the wrong way from the resultant spot kick. A few brief flurries from Queens were repelled by our improving back line and we were constantly hitting on the break. Rooney was everywhere and Foran was backing him up brilliantly. Jonny was now taking the mick as he toyed with the opposition to chants of ole.....ole.....ole.....booo as the final pass went astray. A third goal arrived as Foran was bundled over inside the six yard box after bursting forward to meet another Lee Cox chip into the danger area. Rooney did the necessary to complete his hat-trick and a fabulous night for him. Golly took a nasty knock after he made a late tackle but he continued after treatment. The final whistle was welcomed almost as loudly as the Ross County score. It had been a good night for ICT as we moved into second place on goal difference. The race for the title is hotting up, don't go away. MoM, undoubtedly the clearest cut decision in the history of MoM awards, the man of the moment Adam Rooney. We wanted Wayne but we don't care.....................He was ably assisted by Russell Duncan and Richie Foran. Lee Cox is another having a good spell, and his two assists are no surprise as he does not often waste balls. Defence had their moments and we looked uncomfortable at times, but Esson certainly earned his corn with that block in the first quarter. Eric has some superb touches when he has the time and some of his turns were sublime. Overall, we deserved to win comfortably but made harder work of it than the fans would have liked, but 3-1 was just reward for all the hard work. Bring on Morton on Saturday.
  8. Adam Rooney was simply fantastic tonight, running channels holding the ball up laying it off and best of all putting it in the back of the net. What a performance by Adam, just brilliant. We made heavy weather of this early on but thoroughly deserved to win. I'll be back.
  9. Brown sauce will suffice, cheers
  10. Dundee's record against us is........oh, wait a minute, they have failed to beat us in three games in the league. We are a totally different proposition than we were earlier in the season. While I don't see a defeat doing us much good, there are still a dozen games to go for us. Dundee are rubbish on the road and have eight away games to play. Queens and County are much the same. It's all going to get very tight at the business end of the table, so keep the doom and gloom until the inevitable happens. I'm sure come the end of the season there will be plenty of 'I told you so' topics around. Those on the down side have the odds stacked in their favour, but if you ain't got hope, then theres precious little else to cling on to. Comfortable win for us tonight, or I'll eat my underpants.
  11. Hisssssssssssssssssssss Were ya fitting dishes in Dundee.............. Looks like Home & Away might be critical to the outcome of the league title. Dundee 3 at home-----------8 away. County- 5 at home-----------8 away Queens 5 at home------------9 away Pars----6 at home ------------6 away Partick- 5 at home------------5 away ICT---- 7 at home-------------5 away Plenty of points still to play for. Some teams don't traveol well, like Dundee, lets see if they can handle it when the going gets tough.

  13. From the lips of Bairns last season............................................................ Yer relegated ya tcheuchters
  14. Then the back of last weeks Ayr programme is as wrong as you. You are far too intense for me, take a break.
  15. Well said Ginger, that's the spirit.
  16. I never knew people from Dundee could write...........remarkable.
  17. There is a full report on the official site now.
  18. I'll check later, I'm, busy just now. A lot of the naysayers and doom and gloom merchants were not at the game. The guys played decent enough and once again more than matched Dundee. They will be just as gutted at not taking all three points. It's unfair some of the knee jerk reactions to us not holding on, disappointing as it is, but Dundee take some of the credit for battling back instead of dropping their heads.
  19. I may change my tune after Tuesday, but I can't see QoS seriously challenging for the title. They were one of the worst teams to visit us and we were unfortunate to only draw down there. We should be looking to pump them on Tuesday night, but the away fixture will be a toughy.
  20. You are right of course. According to most sites, there are two N's, one in Dani, and one in Sanchez. Instead of criticising openly, do a little research, or has he told you personally that they all spell it wrong. Or am I wrong??? Regarding Rooney missing the "sitter" from Erics "mishit" cross..............what utter tosh. Eric picked out a ball to the far post, unfortunately when Rooney arrived the ball was very close to the goal line and just beyond the back post. It would have been very difficult to score from that angle, but it would have looked like he missed an open goal from different viewpoints. The free kick that ultimately led to their opener. Cox stood his ground and I don't think he even jumped to nod the ball forward. The Dee player appeared to bounce off of Cox as he flexed his muscles for the impact, ref awards a free kick. Harkins hit a rubbish one which bounced back off the foot of the wall and Kerr hit a screamer down the centre of the goal which was swerving a bit. Unfortunately for Esson he was caught flat footed by the ferocity of the shot or maybe just on the wrong bounce of his toes, but the ball whistled into the net at head height. Eric was woeful at the start and took half an hour to control the ball. His touch was non existant. He could not tackle a fish supper. He looked better as we started going forward and it was his turn on the edge of the Dee box that enabled him to feed Rooney for the cross to assist Foran. Our defence was coping brilliantly with the talented Dundee forwards and they had littl opportunity to trouble Esson, although he had to palm one over after we stopped playing when the ball appeared to go over the side lines for a throw in to us. We looked superior to Dundee in all departments and came out of the blocks in sensational fashion with Foran netting early. Dundee were on the ropes and it was no surprise that we scored a good second, Eric getting the tap in after good work by Foran and Rooney. Russell Duncan was having a ball, ably assisted by Coxy. Rooney was fantastic again, really growing into the lone striker role. Foran as ever worked his socks off. Hayes was fairly quiet, but reasonably effective when he got on the ball, although he seems to have gone off the boil a little. Defenders coped well until the late freak show. I did however take something back from Dundee. Food poisoning. Anyone else struggling after eating a steak pie???
  21. Yer bubble was almost void of air yesterday until the ref helped Dee recycle with a non free kick which resulted in Kerr's thumping shot. How Harkins can claim the second is like Esson, beyond me. What an opportunity to be right on Dundee's heels, chance goes abegging, but there will be more.

  23. It's probably not a must win match, but more of a must not lose match. In saying that, Dundee are not great on the road and they have more away games than us still to play, so all would not be lost, but it would make it slightly less attainable.
  24. I'm looking at the CTO calendar girls glossy edition for Feb and March............. Feb has a spooky sort of red cross shown on the back of a stewards jacket, an eerie sort of orb. March has Maimie in a glamorous pose spreadeagled across the bonnet of a Lada, or was it a car crash.
  25. Might get a day pass for this one. A few of us met in the Snug Bar near the ground last time. Good day it was. 75 Church Street, Dundee DD3 7HP Snug Bar
