  4. :012: wake me up when it's all over.
  5. Aye right :sillywave:
  6. Another pre-season flop for the Hibees, six games played no goals scored. Latest flop going down 3-0 to Clyde at Broadwood. And we think we have problems............ Finding themselves 2-0 down at the interval was bad enough but Clyde went on to score a third within ten minutes of the break. Although that goal completed the scoring Hibs continued to be over-ran by a side who made 7 second half subs and finished second bottom of Scotland's second tier last season. :015: Theres always someone else worse off than yourself.
  7. Did it ever occur to you that the player/agent might not agree to a longer contract as it is in their best interest. Remember a two year contract is in effect a one year contract, the second year is the get out clause, don't extend let it run down, leave for nothing. Not too many players with us will sign longer contracts as we will be seen as a feeder club, like it or not for those with more to offer. Especially the up and coming players. Easier to get the likes of Russell Duncan to sign a longer contract as nobody is exactly knocking down the door to get him. It takes two sides to enter into an agreement.
  8. :015: I don't care anymore, lets move on.
  9. No surprise really. Do any contract renewals ever go ahead straight away? He/his agent will be testing the water, we have to make sure it's warm enough or he will undoubtedly head off to bigger and better things. Thank you Jean-Marc Bosman.
  10. Too much love for St Mirren on these boards. Yes other teams have bought in players or loaned them, lets wait and see if they are any good. Is there people on the Falkirk and St Mirren boards worrying over us? As Highlanders we are obliged to show restraint and be reserved in our judgements. I did notice Wyness had scored, but then again Rory (I know I know) has scored seven in two games, are they concerned. Probably not, but if our own Rory can toughen up then he could be on a winner. He has always only had one aim in mind when he gets the ball near the box, head for goals. Never used to come off too often, but has he turned the corner. Again we will have to wait and see. I am still convinced that we are a better side than Paisley.
  11. Phew, I thought you were going to say it was in your underpants :029:
  12. Shove it in yer underpants ****. :010:

  14. redee, I clicked on the link and all I got was interference :029:
  15. It looks like that rig, if we can believe what has been written in the press. My guess is Marius/agent has agreed with Dinamo, despite Kaisers offering the board more, maybe because Marius went to Bucharest on his own and meanwhile ICT received an updated offer from Kaisers. That seems to be acceptable, but only if Marius is willing to waive his share of the transfer, thus leaving ICT with roughly the same amount. Cofused.com may be the only answer.
  16. Absolutely correct. The knock on effect is costing us money, cup runs etc. We have known about this for a season and a half yet we are showing no signs of filling the vacancy. Our defence has let us down badly since Dods left and was the difference between top six or relegation battle. Another squint at last seasons results show we drew very few games compared to other teams. Losing games by the odd goal instead of drawing them costing us league places for me was down more to the lack of defence than lack of prowess in front of goal. We drew four games compared to nine, ten or eleven for the teams around us. Get a defender in please
  17. Big write up in the Courier as well, looks like the same story. Basically we are in possession of his registration until Dinamo deposit the required amount into our bank, as long as Marius waives his personal fee, then the deal with Dinamo will benefit ICT to the same amount as Kaisers were offering. Apparently we have accepted a cut price offer from Dinamo of ?396k, bit of debate as the original offer may have been in Euros, confusing our easily confused board. However, due to this it may be that we are wanting Dinamo to pay out to Marius insted of us which will ultimately leave us with a similar amount. Complex situation is the way it is described. Quotey from Grazza............. "We still hold the players registration documents and if this is not sorted out in the next day or two he will be coming back to Inverness" Seems fair enough to me. I don't believe the board are as daft as some like to make out. Yes they make mistakes, thats a different story. Dealing with these types of clubs can't be straightforward and someone somewhere has jumped the gun. Lets hope it can get sorted out soon and we can get on with life without Marius.
  18. Good report on the highland league site, but no teams offered. http://www.ngrfoundation.co.uk/joomla/inde...97&Itemid=1 ICT's youth side booked their place in the quarter finals of the ITP Solutions North of Scotland Cup with a three goal victory over a Clach side that was, on the whole little older than the SPL outfit. Inverness Caley Thistle took the lead halfway through the first half with a wonderfully taken free kick. Gavin Morrison's execution of the 25 yard set piece was impeccable, picking out the top corner despite the despairing efforts of Clach keeper Neil Hastie. It was the highlight of a first half which was, nonetheless, entertaining. ICT had the edge but both sides showed they could string the passes together although on most occasions the defensive A great ball in from Shane Sutherland saw Daniel Park nick his foot in front of his defender to turn the ball goalwards but Neil Hastie got down to his left to make the save. Clach were caught with a suckerpunch in the 63rd minute as an ICT counter attack put them two goals up. The Lilywhites had put the pressure on the Caley Jags box with the ball eventually being driven goalwards by David Watson. A great block then denied John Macleod on the rebound and within seconds the ball had been cleared to the right wing where it was picked up by Shane Sutherland. The former Wick Academy striker controlled the ball with ease, stepped inside his man then unleashed a thunderbolt strike into the postage stamp corner of the net from all of 25 yards. Another counter attack which followed a Clach corner saw Daniel Park curl a shot just a foot wide of the same top corner from a Shane Sutherland cutback as the game continued to flow from one end of the park to the other. The Lilywhites youngsters were proving more than capable of playing incisively whenever they had the chance to with David Watson at the heart of it more often than not. He linked the ball between defence and attack well setting Andrew Fraser on his way. The number eleven skipped past Sean Porter before playing it inside for Gordon McNab but his sidefooter trundled past the post. Minutes later Watson was creating a one on one for John Macleod and it took a fantastic fingertip save from Andrew McNulty to deny the teenager a goal, although ref Alan Frew gave a goal kick to the surprise of the ardent Clach support behind the goals. Shaun Carrol made it three with ten minutes to go. Having been initially denied by Neil Hastie after Shane Sutherland's lay off gave him a sight from goal, the sub was there to nod home when the ball was swiftly returned into the area from the right. In the final minute Andrew Fraser was very unlucky not to grab a consolation goal from a 22 yard free kick that struck the underside of the bar and the rebound was turned onto the bar via Adam Naismith after Sean Porter was able to hook the ball off the defender. 20. I don't think anyone knows the truth anymore, I'm out of here. Does it look like Marius has done this off his own bat? All weekend the signs on some websites were that we had agreed a fee with the Germans, but we see Marius photo on the Dinamo website, yet nothing official from the club, I think he has done a runner to get back home despite the Germans being the highest bidder? Then again, what is the truth? Does anyone care anymore.
  21. By all accounts he has impressed. My only concern is that we all seem to like him as well, yet nobody on here has seen him play, so he is really an unknown quantity for all of us. The chappie Evans was also supposed to be decent, but failed to impress when up here on trial. Still, at least Rooney has scored a couple of goals in his games, so maybe he has something to offer us. The fact that he is keen to come up here makes this look like a done deal.
  22. The penny had dropped a long time before Dods had left. We have never replaced him, but thats for another thread. Look at the line up for yesterdays friendly game, some first choice defenders missing surely, no Grantie or Rossco and Hastings out of position. Fairly settled midfield and Barrowman drawing a blank is lso worrying. Starting Line Up Fraser Proctor, McGuire (Duff 70 mins), Hastings, Djebi-Zadi Cowie (Wilson 45 mins), Duncan (Gillespie 45 mins), Black (McBain 45 mins), Imrie (Vigurs 45 mins) Barrowman (Wood 55 mins), Rooney (McAllister (55 mins)
  23. Bit of work to do on the defence methinks. Well done again Rory for the hat-trick. :clapping03:
  24. Caff was abysmal, he had a hand in both goals. First goal was a deep cross which Hart powered a header across goal slightly behind Winter, but he flicked it goalwards and Caff only succeeded in hoofing the spinning ball into the net from under the crossbar. Goal number two and up steps Caff again, this time letting a long clearance drop over his head in poor judgement error, and Higgins ran in behind him to slip the ball home. County almost paid for some slackness when Samuel scored from close in late on after Holmes won another header in the box but County held on when they really should have been on easy street. Pretty naff game with maybe 1500 fans attending, we will see how County do their arithmetic on this one. Golly and Hart played well for County and I was impressed with their number five again, the ginger fellow.
