  1. Hugely disappointing result, Ayr were owned but not defeated, so well done to them. We had numerous attempts blocked inside the six yard box but Foran was the biggest sinner with a feeble attempt at an easy header. Stratford on this and other displays is not fit for purpose, get Roy in there. Sanchez needs to get involved and agree totally with DavieB that Cox is the one positive from the close season, although Bulvitis looks the part as well. Eagle again flattered to deceive and Johnny Hayes unfortunately ran into blind alleys. Grant Munro for me was once again MoM, with one Bobby Mannesque sixty yard pass. Stratford should think again, Eagle should skin his man and Hayes looked to run out of steam. Foran might be a problem as we tried to hit him with every ball, maybe we need a plan B. Two points wasted, or one point gained..........make your mind up.
  2. Well done to the announcer dude for trying to get the best out of the support, 10 out of 10 CD
  3. Well said NigeyBear Keep your personal arguments off the forum pages please, use pm or bebo or go and knock on his/her door and sort it out. Any more abusive posting will result in warnings against the profile.
  4. He will have to get himself off the injured list before he can do anything. I would say he deserves his chance at this level the same as the rest of them, even Brewster deserved his chance, but it does not always work out. If he fails again this season then it's over for him, if he succeeds then great.
  5. They are a bit slow with regards to this injury and all we can do is speculate, although my original post was straight from the horses mouth via another party. Maybe with Terry away on duty the press releases have dried up.
  6. Yer burfdays over now, off to the general boards for you ma lad.
  7. STV teletext reporting Imrie will be sidelined for a few weeks with medial ligament damage. Barrowman also missing due to hamstring problem.
  8. HT: 1-0 FT: 3-0 1st Scorer ICT: Sanchez 1st Scorer Opp: James Crowd 2267
  9. Dave Johnstone, now that was a goalscorer. What about Colin Hendry, from Keith to Islavale to Dundee to Blackburn Rovers.
  10. Just as I suspected, Scotland are absolutely woeful, one of the worst European teams in existence just now. I feel sorry for the thousands who follow them. It can't be for the football, because we are about the level of Clach. No excuses for the defeat, we deserved to be down to ten men and should have lost around 7-1. Maybe we could compete with the likes of Malta, Faroes, and erm...erm, must be someone else, maybe Luxembourg and Strathspey Thistle, although I have my doubts. If Scotland were not a laughing stock before, they certainly are now. In fact my wife commented that was unkind to Clach, and I tend to agree with her. My thoughts on Burley is that he has little respect in the dfressing room and should be dumped, like Vogts. It would be easy to amend the banner to read Burley out. Sort it Scotland, we need something to cling on to, but this is just embarrassing. We would be better not entering these competitions just to save face. At the end I was hoping Norway would just score a Barrowman..............if nothing else it would make sure we never ever qualified for something and would help rid us of one of our worst ever managers. That is exactly why I can't get excited about Scotland anymore, bring on the ICT games.
  11. We should balance that with Charlie Christie from Inverness Thistle to Celtic.
  12. I can't get as enthusiastic over Scotland games as I can for ICT games, although I will be pleased if Scotland do well.
  13. David Shearer, Clach to Middlesboro. He is of course Duncans brother, and was a better player in my opinion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Shearer And what about the guy that played for Bolton and Scotland, thingamyjig, John McGinlay, he started at Nairn County before ending up at Bolton via numerous clubs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_McGinlay Both born in Inverness according to my mate wiki.
  14. He is trying to get all the mods out of the way so he can monopolise the webby. Good team if you ask me, although we look a bit femme on the left side.
  15. Wow, mine is 0311...............
  16. 27 was the number of my house in Grantown on Spey.
  17. OK then, if we must know, who has the highest serial number on their ticket???
  18. As it said on the edit, there was little left to the imagination. Keep it to banter without the extreme abuse please.
  19. Must have been me then, I just can't remember it............
  20. It's official anway that the far side lineman is nuts. Richie Foran revealed this tonight with his Irish drawl after being flagged offside..... HEY, YOU'RE FORKIN NUTS LINEMAN, YE FORKIN ARE YE KNOW, NUTS. Crowd of around 200 at the game tonight. Lots of people with three heads and eleven fingers, no faces, that sort of crowd. Oh that reminds me, LG was there.
  21. :P
  22. Really, is that who I am, thanks for that.
  23. 2-0 going on 10-0. Struggled in the first half after a bright opening and Foran was ineffective, right up to half time when he scored after good work on the right by Ross. Foran tapping the cross home from a suspiciously offside position. The only other moments of note were a couple of reasping shots possibly both from Gavin Morrison, he seems to pack a good punch. From the off in the second half we started to pass the ball crisply and to be honest if it was boxing, the ref would have stopped the contest. We cut Clach open every time we went forward and everyman and his dog had a pop at goal, except for Roy who was rather shot shy, but he was my MoM for the effort he put in and twisting runs and numerous crosses. Little bit of afters from Foran and a Clach player in the first half but came to nothing. Nick Ross scored the second converting a Shane Sutherland ball from the left and he did well to hold off the defender to plant the ball behind the keeper. Clach's keeper was the only thing preventing a landslide as Morrison on at least three more occasions was thwarted by the outstretched legs of the Merkincher. Rossco sat up a deep cross from inside the box and Gillespie headed over. One way traffic and the lads were queuing up to score but were denied by great saves and Adam Rooney like finishing. Great save from I think a Gillespie rocket kept the score at 2-0. Roy my MoM, but he must learn to shoot. Morrison good game and Gillespie good going forward. No shouting at any of our players.........how refreshing. Easy win after a turgid first half and into the next round for ICT.
  24. Zogg met him at the stadium, but could not make out if it was 6 months or weeks he was saying and never asked him, but he was convinced it was 3-6 months, although he still had to see the doc again, so maybe things will get better. However, if mfr have reported 6 months then maybe he now knows the full extent of the injury. Thats a pity as, if the real Dougie Imrie turns up, can be a match winner on his day.
  25. :P I must have been made different then. I could'nt care less how many other people turn up, as long as I am there and see a game.
