John Is the Scottish game really so far behind in terms of quality, as Hearts were clearly outclassed by what looked like a technically superior side.

  3. It's our training video..........and spookily lifelike.
  4. Lot of criticism aimed at Eagle on here. I thought he did ok. He is not as direct as Johnny but tends to hold the ball well and is prepared to go backward to go forward and he can deliver a decent cross. The one guy that does not improve the quality of the squad for me is Stratford, or am I missing something. Russel or Roy would be a better option and even Proc pushed forward when Rossco comes back. Imrie should be useful in this division when he recovers and we still have Eric and Barrowman..............things to look forward to, and the knowledge that Dundee are not better than us. We could easily have taken all three points but the home sides late flurry meant a draw was fair in an immensely enjoyable spectacle. Esson also earned his corn with some good blocks and Grant once again stood firm. Great day out, cheers to Uncle Albert, Big Stu and the Snug bar.

I understood every word and thought it was perfectly clear. You sir, have been wooshed.
  6. Is your keyboard broken as well? As mentioned on the other thread, Rossco was playing and his Samba skills masterclass were a joy to behold. For me, only Johny Hayes was better on the park, sharp and incisive, skinning the defender every time he got the ball. Eagle also played his part although not so eye catching. Foran will know he should have scored a Barrowman. Shinnie was always willing to get forward and should have a bright future. Rooney had three decent attempts, two on target, as did every man and his dog. All in, a good evenings entertainment, better than watching the TV game which had no relevance for me.
  7. We won this game at a canter. Foran could have scored six goals himself. Second half we could have put about eight past Stranraer but amazingly we failed to add to our tally, bad luck, bad finishing, good goalkeeping, and overelaboration kept the scoreline to a minimum.

  9. As an aside, we have this Home and Away thread.........................does that mean that we will have a Neighbours thread when we play County.............or even a Cell Block H when we play Morton
  10. He did extremely well to overcome Del Boy last night

I see that Martin o' Neil is accepting his fans booing as his responsibility, ie it's up to him to sort it.

I thought the booing was directed at Samson the ex-County keeper, after all, he was a ............................
  14. I thought Grantie was our MoM again, solid at the back and his punts were actually great balls in behind the defence. Poor result from our point of view, I'm sure Ayr are delighted.

there is something sad about that post.

    Booing

It's hardly minutes into the first home game if some people vent there frustration by choosing to voice their displeasure at the teams inability to perform better than they displayed.

    Booing

The team did not perform well, did they deserve to be applauded of the park? This is a results business, good result, everybody happy, poor result.........not everybody happy.
  18. I thought the sound from the pitch mike seemed to come over much better on the North Stand speakers, although the young guy with nice blonde hair sounded as though his comment was cut short.........he was probably only going to remind Mr Butcher to make some substitutions.
  19. Just to add, well done to the Ayr fans who made the journey, guesstimate there were a couple of hundred of them, hope you enjoyed the day out. I feel we may be a better team away from home again as we were poor at trying to break down a packed defence and Ayr grew in confidence with this and even had the audacity to try and score.............humbugs.
  20. Hugely disappointing result, Ayr were owned but not defeated, so well done to them. We had numerous attempts blocked inside the six yard box but Foran was the biggest sinner with a feeble attempt at an easy header. Stratford on this and other displays is not fit for purpose, get Roy in there. Sanchez needs to get involved and agree totally with DavieB that Cox is the one positive from the close season, although Bulvitis looks the part as well. Eagle again flattered to deceive and Johnny Hayes unfortunately ran into blind alleys. Grant Munro for me was once again MoM, with one Bobby Mannesque sixty yard pass. Stratford should think again, Eagle should skin his man and Hayes looked to run out of steam. Foran might be a problem as we tried to hit him with every ball, maybe we need a plan B. Two points wasted, or one point gained..........make your mind up.
  21. Well done to the announcer dude for trying to get the best out of the support, 10 out of 10 CD
  22. Well said NigeyBear Keep your personal arguments off the forum pages please, use pm or bebo or go and knock on his/her door and sort it out. Any more abusive posting will result in warnings against the profile.
  23. He will have to get himself off the injured list before he can do anything. I would say he deserves his chance at this level the same as the rest of them, even Brewster deserved his chance, but it does not always work out. If he fails again this season then it's over for him, if he succeeds then great.
  24. They are a bit slow with regards to this injury and all we can do is speculate, although my original post was straight from the horses mouth via another party. Maybe with Terry away on duty the press releases have dried up.
