  2. Hey...view from the North Stand..........we stuffed them 1-1. I thoutght that was the most enterprising we have been at home for a long time, well done to Manager of the Month Charlie and his team. We dominated Aberdeen from the start, and even when they got a little possession we still looked comfortable. Second half there was only one team going to win the game and we deservedly took the lead with a brilliant goal from the outstanding Bayne, swift move down the left, first time cross, and a diving header from Bayners to send the already delirious Northstanders into raptures. Maybe premature but certainly deserved..... however, somehow our resolute defence managed to give too much room on the Dons right wing and a harmless looking cross eluded a couple of players and ended up being knocked inton the net...........bummer. We looked like ending our winless streak against the Dons, but hey, it wasn't to be, but for me this was our most positive display against them, and they should be afraid, very afraid. Great performances all round, Dods, Rossco, Hastings, Rankin, (about time) Dargo for his unselfish runs, McBaon for the cross, Bayners for a fabulous goal. The rest were only brilliant, no failures tonight, and a good crowd despite the Setanta showing...............there goes my predictor............Gutted by the late goal, but hey ho, some you win, some you lose............or draw :017: Kencar............just spotted your post.................you are depressing me.

  5. The invasion of the brown wheelie bins has begun.............everywhere, on street corners, outside gates, lining the streets, everywhere you look, everywhere you turn, they are there, in front of you, behind you, to the left, to the right, sometimes in pairs or small platoons, surrounded by brown wheelie bins, you go to your work in the morning, come home later, and there they are, all over the place, guarding paths, lanes, houses, caravans, it is an invasion. Shhhh, keep your voices down, I am sure they can hear. Don't know how to escape to the game tonight, will maybe have to go undercover of darkness, dohh :010:

  21. A nice wee response to all those who doubted his ability to continue the good work started by Pele, continued by Robbo and Brew and now CC and Parky have shown that they can also play with the big boys. So, for all you midges and humpedagains.....................HAVE SOME :021:

    Dods

Much as I think Dods was the reason we did so well last year, why should clubs be held to ransom by players and agents. This would not be in the best interests of the club from a playing perspective, but stick him in the reserves and make him see out his contract. ICT are bigger than any player, no matter who. He has been a stalwat at the heart of the defence, but what would we give for a defender that can pass the ball out of defence instead of hoofing it the way he is facing. I am sick and tired of these guys coming up here, getting their own careers kickstarted again and then because ICT make them appear better players, they want to return to bigger and better pastures........how often have we seen that scenario crop up, and fail. Stay put and get on with the game Dods, you know it makes sense. (thats it, that should be good enough to make the Courier :015: )
