  1. Probably time to let Kilmarnock take over top spot and allow us to re-group.
  2. Still no panic over the bridge. Took a wee trip over to see them go 10 games without a win. They did play very well in the first half with agent White trying to pass his penalty into the net. I left with 3 minutes of 6 added minutes to go and on the railway bridge heard a loud roar. It sounded as RC had broken their duck...........but as we know, they were goosed. They go to Dundee next...........Mackay is slowly screwing it up. Expect a panic pretty soon..............
  3. Shinnie for Derby's winner whilst Ryan is supplying assists for Bournemouth's promotion push.
  4. Raith are a top class side in this league. We really need to up our game after the poorer performance against Morton.
  5. In recent years the crowd could see the energy training out of our teams in the second half with teams upping the pressure. Substitutes were often left til the last 10 minutes when games or points were lost. Under the current regime substitutes seem to be used more wisely so that energy levels do not seem to ditch so much. The signing of Broadfoot was significant in my view. Both Billy and Michael's signatures were a bonus that Ross County need considerable praise for. We must not forget the bond that developed in the club last year around the personal issues which came through clearly with the support for David.
  6. 'The big question is will I outrun Glass in the sack race?'
  7. We might as well play without a goalkeeper...............
  8. Just hope Partick's performance last night adds motivation to our players today.
  9. I received an email from the club today confirming that the current COVID rules on red zones will continue until the next review scheduled for Christmas times. The club add 'We recognise that the situation is far from ideal but in what was an extremely constructive and respectful discussion, all 10 clubs respected the differing situations and challenges we all still face.' From a personal perspective this is completely sensible.
  10. Will be our toughest game of the season so far. If ever there was a game not to kid ourselves this is it.
  11. There are nine teams to keep an eye on starting next Saturday with Hamilton hoping to be the first to beat us in the league this year.
  12. Lucky in the end after significant possession and dominance. Missing chances on a big scale is always dangerous.
  13. Interesting to see Steven Dobbie came on as a sub in the 72nd minute. Storey scored in the 75th minute and Dobbie in the 77th minute. 'HEREFORD 1 AFC FYLDE 4 POWERFUL Fylde ruthlessly exploited Hereford’s lack of defensive steel with a runaway win. Two first-half goals from Nick Haughton were added to by Jamie Stott and substitute Stephen Dobbie to leave the Bulls with nothing but Miles Storey’s consolation strike.'
  14. Still remember Foran and Hayes having a bit of a scrap at East End Park so if the pressure builds today, we must keep our discipline.
  15. Always very dangerous playing the team at the bottom - Alloa under Peter Grant springs to mind.
  16. To me Roddy's tackle just after half time demonstrated how much he wanted to win this game - thereafter the whole team became driven. A great result. On Graham - in the first half he appeared to jump for high balls by ignoring the ball and generally causing trouble for the defender. His one good moment was creating space in the box at 1-0 but Mark made a great save. The subject of divers in football is well documented but he seems to have a history playing against us whereby there have been quite worrying off the ball incidents. The incident with Carson was very underhand but Carson's response appeared to say it all. McCall is not a likeable Manager but for once he did the ethical thing and hooked Graham immediately afterwards. Unless referees are more observant - difficult when a player does things behind their backs - I believe we could see severe injury. Graham and Deas were warned by the referee in the first half but immediately afterwards Graham placed his arms on Deas and whilst Deas responded the referee took no further action. Graham should have been booked for that alone. It was in front of 'Lionel', the referee and our dugout.
  17. It will be interesting to see if Billy gets the nod against Partick. Great to see players back from injury to strengthen the resources available.
  18. By definition I know Bournemouth well and Ryan will be very relaxed there. If he settles in quickly and the Cherries get going again he should become a regular rather than a seat warmer which enhances his chance of playing in the EPL either for Bournemouth under a very good manager or an EPL side. It was a surprise move but I can see the logic. Ted was quite a character. Ryan is slightly different in that respect. Waiting to see how Shinnie copes with him!! On the face of it ICT will now get a decent amount of money from the deal which will be a major bonus.
  19. Curiously I put Partick down as favourites. They have a very good record against us and have three players in a strong Scotland under 21 squad. This is going to be a very tough game for us.
  20. Took a spying trip over the bridge Sunday and sat behind the goal in the Jailend. Superb penalty by Jordan but County surely heading for the Championship.
  21. I know it is unwise to gloat but has anyone else noticed some panic over the bridge? After the latest in Highland clearances by a wealthy owner the new Manager seems concerned at the lack of players at his disposal. After a fortuitous point against St Johnstone Sunday's result in Edinburgh has generated some amusing comments over the bridge. Duds and pish stand out. With Rangers at home and Aberdeen and Celtic away in their next three games things look quite challenging. This could be the season when ICT is really motivated to keep results coming whilst County stretch their chequebook. It looks like Coll might soon be available on the cheap!
  22. Where was Jamie MacDonald? Stunner from Roddy.
  23. Positive but so was the win against Peterhead..........Arbroath away has not been easy so a 1-0 win in the history books looks good. Many lessons to learn based on Robert's analysis and others who witnessed key incidents.
