  1. Defo Hayes. Rooney is great and we'll all be gutted to see him go but it will be easier to replace a striker who gets in positions and hits the target most of the time than a fast, skillful creative midfielder. I think both will move onto bigger clubs but i think hayes will go further.
  2. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6648753,00.html Six figure sum? ?999,999.99? I know there's quite a bit of money going about in Russian football but i've nay heard of this club and doubt they're even European contenders. Sign up Rooney for at least another 2 seasons, let him develop and show his full potential and then think about the offers on the table.
  3. HAHA! Is Love2love run by the teuchter mafia aye!?
  4. Don't think you are missing something, weren't Caledonian and now ICT known as the Rangers of the North??? I could be wrong but Caley have always played in blue and now predominantly blue in ICT's case I personally wouldn't purchase this product but i could think of a fair number of posters on this site who definitely would dougal What??!! So all teams that play in blue are linked with rangers and also all of that religious nonsense now are they? I've never heard of Caley or ICT having any link to rangers other than both being Scottish clubs so would be interested to know where you got that from? I've got no time for rangers personally but i even know plenty of their fans that want nothing to do with any of that nonsense. Does that go for all teams in blue then? What about the Scottish national team? And while you're explaining where you heard this from you could tell us all who these posters are that you know would want to buy a loyal ulster themed ICT piece of merchandise? I think you're missing something mate. Possibly a few sandwiches.
  5. Great goal as well! Just saw it on skysportsnews.
  6. Aye i can't see butcher getting any money to spend unless we sell any of our players that are worth decent money which i hope we don't! What's happened to all of the players that dundee released? Centre back cover and possibly right back if we don't hang onto Mccann.
  7. Am i not right in thinking that we are one of the few clubs out there who's attendance levels and fan base are constantly on the increase? And that most teams attendances have declined over the last 10-20 years?
  8. Yup i can't see us increasing the league by more than 14 as long as they have the 11 out of 12 vote when 2 of the 12 are always going to opt to play each other 4 times a season. And yes i would have thought it would be beneficial for attendance levels and excitement for the other teams. I can only hope that they at least scrap the split!
  9. "The Scottish Premier League met on Wednesday to discuss plans to revitalise football in Scotland. Representatives from all 12 clubs gathered at Hampden, with league reconstruction top of the agenda." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9108392.stm How do our fans think this would affect us as a club? And what would we like to see the league expanded to and what format? I personally would like to see an 18 team league without a split but maybe with an end of season play-off for european places (2nd - 6th) much like in the Eredivisie, 2up 2down, 1 home and 1 away fixture with each team. Doubt the OF would favour this though and maybe other clubs wouldn't because of the revenue of hosting the OF twice at home. I think we'd definitely hold our own in this kind of set up and push for Europe each season. Also we would probably no longer be one of the so called 'wee teams' in the league. I knows similar topics have been discussed before but because this is happening today i thought i would start a new one. What's your views? JEEPS
  10. I thought exactly the same thing! Part man, part polar-bear Same here! It Looks like he has a plunger for a face! HAHA!
  11. Cheers min, i'll be tuning in!
  12. No ex aberdeen players scoring for us today. Lots of ex Caley players knocking them in for their clubs though. Barry Wilson (Elgin), Rory Mcallistair hattrick (Brechin), Dennis Wyness (Peterheeed), Liam Fox (Livi), Barry Robson (Middlesborough). Anyone notice any others?
  13. For fak sake min, lighten up! There you go! I think we're all entitled to a laugh at ourselves. If you don't like it so much, don't read it or maybe you could make an arrangement with the site to send you a email alert or sms warning to avoid the risk of stumbling across something like this again! Brilliant work, more of this please.
  14. Agreed and also the fact that we're the most northern club in the top flight.........
  15. That is very true it would be amazing to have our name on (another) trophy but we should be taking risks to progress in cup competitions once we're looking like a stronger, established spl team, not on our first season back. That is assuming, as myself and many other posters would like to think, that we will become a better team in the season's ahead.
  16. We should be leaving our first teamers to focus on the league as we don't have a big enough squad to compete in more than one competition. Looking at last night's line up it was pretty much a first team squad affected by injuries. Maybe we should be giving more of a chance to our youth players in the cup competitions. This would be great experience for them and going by the poll nobody would be too fussed if we get knocked out anyway and at least that keeps the first team fresh for the league games.
  17. might be moved to the wednesday cos the huns are at home as well. Might be on the telly too!
  18. This one is a defo for me! I moved across the road from the stadium earlier this year so been itching to go and see us play there. The first saturday after i moved in i was loudly awoken (at about midday) by county fans outside my window 'singing' about not being particularly fond of our team! BASTIDS!
  19. It's the logical thing to do and i reckon all but 2 spl clubs will be in favour of it. It would hopefully create a more exciting league in terms of competitiveness and you'd expect teams to be playing more attacking football because of this. There would also be 2up 2down in a 16 team (or more?) league. I'm sure there was mention at some point of introducing a playoff for european places much like in the dutch eredivisie. Not sure how successfull or well recieved that has been over there but at least puts more teams in mix. Though i can't say i'm a fan of the split but i'm sure they have their playoff after the standard fixtures have been played out. Also it must have more of a pull for supporters to attend games when you only play each team at home and away once each.
  20. I just hope he's better than Kenny Gilbert!
  21. Hayes, Odhiambo and Rooney were all playing in the lower leagues on loan from their respective clubs before the moves to ICT and with very little experience at that. This boy has played 89 games in a league that's maybe not great on a footballing level but very competitive.
  22. Either we've done nothing of note or they're only talking about Stockport's game.
  23. YEEEEAAH!! Makes sense to me if we're gonna be a serious spl club then we should have 2 quality keepers and a promising youngster. Good to have if we're planning to challenge in all competitions and a bit of healthy competition should bring out the best in them hopefully. Also I'd rather we're putting money into quality signings than into the official website that we all know is p*sh. We get all the info first here anyway. Defo need some defensive cover though....
