A goal every 4 games or so for Morecambe !!!! I hope we're aiming higher than that . Ken but sure he was knocking them in more recently, maybe not so prolific when he first joined. Plus with better players around him more goals would prob come. Mind you i didn't see them play last season and there's gonna be a reason why he was released so MAYBE YOU'RE RIGHT YA BAS! Just an idea tho!!!

For a powerful experienced striker Wayne Curtis has just been released from Morecambe. I've seem him play for them plenty of times, good goalscoring record and capable of scoring some cracking goals. I reckon he could cut it in the spl.......

I think most of our money will be or maybe should be put into signing up the most of the out of contract players. So realistically we should be looking at out of contract players at other clubs and loan signings cos we're no gonna have enough cash to splash on anyone that will improve our squad.

Aye Butcher's focus has been purely on the team since Burley's sacking and also no tv punditry with the old firm going out of Europe. It just shows that these were distractions for him especially when trying to gel a new team together. IT'S ALL LOOKING GOOD NOW THOUGH!

It seems to me that we're missing the balance and stability that we had when we were in div1 previously. If i remember correctly J.R. had all of the players in his squad on the same wages, no stars just a solid TEAM. I don't know how much power and influence TB is given over player contracts, especially considering that he's only signed up until the end of the season himself. But as everybody is saying, we need to secure our players for next season and our management team as well. Whether that will be TB & MM or not. We may have less or no money, but the club has to, within it's means, secure a team for next season. We were only promotion hopefuls last time around with a squad on the same or similar wages but we won the league. If we do happen to win the league this season i can't see us having much of a successful survival battle next season. and with no long term plan in place we're not going anywhere but backwards..........

It's almost funny! We've just sold one of our players after endless speculation and the latest news on the official site is about a car boot sale! I don't post very often but that is why i only use this site and read the forums to get the latest news on our club. JOKE!

Fair enough but the stripes at least would be instantly recognisable as a caley thistle strip. Folk have mistaken the 03/04 top for a r***ers one when i wore mine around edinburgh.

Defo for stripes. All of our non-striped home tops look too r***ers!
