  1. I think foran might do something in the next 2 games like when we first played dundee (maybe the second game) at dens when almost scored when we were 'giving the ball back' to them

  6. IMO eric has been our best player so far, yes he may have a horror touch every now and then but he opens up the oppositions defence so much and can create chances from no where. If he was to be dropped it would be like pedz, he has done nothing wrong (if anything he has done well) and has been dropped. Also Shane is not an 'in the hole' player his agility and vision is not at the same level as eric but i do think shane is a similar player to rooney who can hold up the ball and make darting runs.
  7. I think rooney has been consistent and is one of our hardest working players. He is always pressing on the defenders forcing them to make a pass which our wingers could possibly intercept. And as starchief said he shouldn't be dropping as he is the supposed to be the furthest up the pitch. I think the 4-2-3-1 will pay off against St J if the right team is selected.
  8. As you would expect i totally agree, this happened in the SFL1 cox and stratford started quite a few games then pedz was starting and we picked up. IMHO i think duff and duncan would be brilliant together as duncan is more defensive minded and works hard, while duff seems to attack quite often. the 4-2-3-1 formation should be given another chance against St. J as the games we have played at home are always going to be the some of the most difficult games we will have (at home).
  9. No wind up - had a double voddie typing my post but - on the box - Rosscoe and Eric were hapless and dire. Rosscoe was hooked back in to central defence becos he was struggling. All the commentators on ESPN commented that Rosscoe was "sleeping" for the second goal and well out of position for the third. As fer Eric he was a figure of ridicule. Two of my English mates watched the game and said that Eric was the most amusing sight that they had seen in years - and felt that he fell on his erse more than Todd feckin Carty on Dancing On Ice. The goal was unbelievably BAD. Aye but did Tokely not go centre defence because Innes was injured and Golly came on to cover left back. Its a wee bit different to being hooked to centre half cos he's struggling. If that was Butchers thinking Proctor would've been subbed in the first half. Anyway, if there's one thing we can take from this its that Butcher doesn't have much faith in Golabek if he can't get a start today given he is our only back up left back. Nope - Tokely and Granty switched just before the third goal becos Rosscoe was shattered and being slaughtered. I would say it was because munro was getting slaughtered in the air by kyle and granty is a left footed player
  10. After todays performance we need him badly
  11. It all started going wrong when kyle came on. i thought we could have possibly won the game until he came on. I thought the ref was horrible i have never seen worse decisions for corners, eggert jonsson should have been sent off and same with the winger who hit proctor on the knee. I'm not too sure if sutherlands 'goal' was offside. I don't like proc playing right back, he's a better centre mid and i would like to see duncan start next week instead of cox, i didnt notice cox until the second half. I thought ross, eric, hayes and rooney all played well today and hopefully they will keep it up for st mirren where we should pick up 3 points.

  16. they are a good selection but i think the ordering could be tweaked in areas i think mccans and pedzs should be a bit higher and i thought all the mccann style goals - one lay-off touch and shot from outside the box - were all better than imries against us
  17. How on Earth is being on the bench going to help him improve? obviously him starting he will improve quicker but i dont think he is as good as pedz or duff so he would come on as a sub rather than sitting on the bench the whole game DC- pedz is duncan
  18. esson mccann-rossco-munro-gillet ----pedz---duff hayes-odi-sanners ---rooney subs: tuffey, proc, innes, mcbain, cox, shinnie, sutherland
  19. I'm happy with the result we played well and as Tel said we could have won we could have lost. Sanchez had a good game on the left would like to see him start there against hearts if richie isnt fit. I was suprised and sad to see that duff got in ahead of pedz i thought duff played well but i still think duncan and duff should be starting (dont know if butcher will change it) and cox getting sub appearances to help him improve.
  20. one of the police was saying that he couldn't care less if the fans stood and it's the G4 people who persist to get the fans to sit down and apparently the old firm fans aswell

  25. We are good against them but i dont think they have ever won at our stadium in the league so when they beat us it's usually easter road that's why i think we'll draw but there is always a good chance of beating hibs
