  1. I see on teletext Fleetwood have just signed a Brazilian! money must filter down the game better in englandshire. I know it wont be Maicon or Kaka but will undoubtedly have more skill than the average john smith
  2. mate called. Stuart used to play for Lossie. Said was their first team. 1 nil to Lossie. Said he thought Proctor played too
  3. Ant one know the score. Have a mate in Lossie who was going but he left his mobie at home.

Absolutely Fabulous. Think the width of the stripes are just right. The first stiped kit all those years ago was too thin and pinstripe like, and another one made the top more red. Do like this one extremely much, and it makes us look different from most others, as i hate folk making us out to be like a rangers strip. Good choice and I hope we make it a very successful strip, on and off the park
  5. Will likely go to Grantown as never seen a game their. Been to Elgin rakes of times so fancy something new, even if it is a youthfull team. Worth watching some of the youngsters against the highland league adults. Hope the likes of Polworth gets a game to see if the hype is right
  6. As been suggested by a few others this was a decision made last season, although it might not have been described as permanent. Terry, if you look back at the final 3 games I think did indeed make Richie Foran club captain, and it was announced. As suggested it would have been discussed between the players and management, and has anyone seen any less commitment from Grant since. Has he also not talked up signing an extension to his contract, no the words of someone too unhappy. Grant might actually feel a weight off his shoulders with this, and give him time to concentrate on his new central defensive partnership with Rossco. Will be proven to be a wise move I think
  7. When I spoke to the shop last week thay thought it would be in towards the end of this week, however the players will get theirs before it goes into the shop, and Im sure they will do the press release thing to add to the excitment of the seasons start. They also know the design but cannot say anything as it would steal the clubs thunder as it were. Can see their point totally
  8. We will be fine. We are much better than the teams under real pressure this year - Killie, Buddies and Dons. We will be a match for Accies and Perth Saints. It remains to be seen if one of the top 6 struggles so much they fall into the basement half ( hibs and well i'm thinking ) as the others will be too good for the rest of the league. We will have a chance of the top 6 i think, but will depend on our home form - which I hope we can go with less than 5 defeats before the split. Think Arabs and Hearts will be closer to the Old Firm this year. Lennon may struggle, but so did rangers when Smith said he was going last time. Our aim for this season should be SURVIVAL first, then if we get near the top 6 for Xmas we could dream!!!!! Top 6 would be our biggest achievement.
  9. think it will be a close call. Personally think that the two Lennon's, Mixu, Hughes and Mahat McGee will be the likley lads. Celtics Lennon will be hoping they get past the Portugese team that I cant remember. Might be a game Lennon will never forget. The writing could be on the wall early - and he lost the only game that was important in his managerial career so far. However I think if he gets to the champs league it will be between the Dons and Hibees, with the pretty on the eye hughes huffers having little punch although on paper they should
  10. I can hear the buzz of the crowd down hereford way now. That buzz of the crowd wondering what he is going to do. Will it be cheers, will it be tears, well even Lionel doesnt know. As someone mentioned, if he has a good touch in the first 5 then it can be a very good day - but you will have your heart in your mouth. He can have 20yards clear of anyone to pick a pass to a team mate, but he will wait for an attacker to close him down and then try to trick his way past. Entertaining but he only has a 50% chance of getting away with it. Saying that he could then goon a mazey run past 6 players and then freah air swipe trying yo cross the ball. Dont think anyone would be suprised if he scored a 50 yard overhead scissors kick though, as he would be the most likely to do this.

Nice to see that the Dutch have been watching our success last season. Adopting our style of two holding midfielders, 3 attacking midfielders/wingers with a one man striking position. Seems to be the most entertaining style of play around at the moment
  12. I actually love the buzz the vuvuzela gives in a match, as more happens on the pitch the noise intensifies like a busy swarm of bees, but I do think to get this atmosphere reprocated at TCS you would need just about everyone buzzing them rather than a hundred or so breathless souls. But we will soon see, bet some Antwerp fans take some over, and I bet Rangers, Celtic and Dundee United ban away fans from having them as they will be offensive weapons in the hands of visiting support but not their own fans.
  13. We also have a few places where beers are served, in fact we have a lot of them
  14. That is bang on the money. I think we may spring a few surprises this year, but we better watch our stars. Richie is a leader from the front and is very important to our success this season
  15. I have a mate down south who told me over a week ago that something has happened to Wayne Rooney, and the press agreed to keep it quiet until after the world cup, so watch the papers next week. Old habits apparently dont go away!
  16. By the way, I also think that Richie Foran is our more important Irishman at the moment. Mainly down to his determination, experience, airiel strenght, Vision, aggression, cunning and ability is all their. Rooney and Hayes are both young and learning, which is where the promise lies at the moment.
  17. Thought their might be a few maybes but for folk who think they are supporters to say they might be out of their depth is a bit much. Johnny Hayes will cause many a defence problems, but he is a winger, and they will have hot days and cold days probably more than any other position. But I do think Johnny is also a confidence player who will go on hot streakes. Has the ability to rung rings round defenders and is positive in his movement all the time. Who else have the Irish got as wingers who stand out at the moment. Adam Rooney has already proved he can handle the SPL. Was he not top scorer with 6 two seasons ago when he wasnt getting into the team. Gtets a proper run in the team and ends up with upper twenties. Fully expect Adam to get double figures again this season, and hope that avoiding injury can edge towards the twenty mark. Can see him average a goal for avery second game. And with that rate of scoring for a decend non old firm player, I think they would have a look, as international football is about players with different styles and strengths. Rooney has a very direct style that defenders do not often feel comfortable with, add a bit of pace and roberts yer mums bro.
  18. I know we have had a few ex internationals, and several who have gone on to win scottish caps, but how far away do you think Mssrs Rooney and Hayes are from being called up. If they have similar seasons to last year, do you think Trapatoni will be at the TCS by Christmas for a look. Would be brilliant if either or both were given a shout whilst wearing our colours.

I have just been trying to work out something for a couple of weeks. If that Rooney guy that was out in South Africa is worth millions, How much would our Rooney cost someone to buy, and how much better would he have looked out in the rainbow nation.
  20. strange, so many people have been told they can't fly the flag as it upsets different nationalities in England yet downing st can fly it. Don't get me wrong we should be able to fly our flag with pride (today's result aside) but surely this will upset the b123ards even more. :( Now that England shire are on their way home, how soon will they lower the flag. Its just a reminder of how hurt they will be, and how bad they were. Want to know if they will now raise the Saltire to support Andy Murray at Wimbledon, or shall they return to the Union Jack to support our fiercly Scottish talent. Or is Wimbledon and a Scot not important enough to give the respect to from the Government. Anyway England were terrible, in fact they were worse than terrible in all 4 games. Trouble is they breezed through their qualifying group and Capello was a God. I was seriously worried they might go quite far this time. He stuck to the system that breezed the qualifying group and got slatted for doing it, but its not the manager to blame, as players did not perform, thet mostly seemed uninterested which is a disgrace. Rooney was their Maradona and Messi in one, and the guy just looked like one of us out their. The only ones who seemed to care was James and Gerrard, with flashes from a few others but that was it. Should have been a goal, but think Germany would have still coasted it, but that we will never know. 44 years the Germans have waited for the decision to be rectified. As said before the World Cup begins now, now that we know England cannot win it. I can now enjoy the rest of the games

Difficult one to match our league record of undeafeted games, but no better game to achieve it too!
  22. Its the ability of all nine players that counts, and these guys have bundles of it. Very productive age group for the youths, and every one of them has a more than decent chance. Think you will find each of them will make a living out of football hopefully. The two international werent even players of the year at the youth awards a few weeks ago!!! More to come next year also
  23. What is the problem with some people. Chic is at the world cup, SO WHAT. Just because we did not qualify are we to ignore the greatest show on earth because we didnae get their. Something that always happens at the World cup, the team that eventually wins the competition sets a trend that a number of teams will follow for some time, tactics i mean. If the winners play with one up front, with two attacking wingers and two holding midfielders watch a lot of teams try to reprocate the winning formula. So why not have a reporter or reporters jealously looking at why we arent their. Im sure he will be tellinh Lennon how it was done when he returns. Ive seen photos of Chic in Aberdeen scarfs, Celtic tops, Hearts clobber and Rangers stuff, so does that make him just a glory hunter!!
  24. Think the league will be the most open one for years next year. Rangers may be champions but without the goal machine they will likely struggle in some games. Celtic have just lost half a team in their loanees all going back, and Lennon will be shopping at bargain basement clubs compaired to last year. Utd and possibly mutherwell should be a bit stronger, Hughes is messing up hibs same as falkirk- nice to watch but toothless in attack generally. Hearts will be further up the points talley, and well the others will be ICT, Accies and St Js well ahead of the strugglers - Aberdeen, St Mirren and Killie, and I can see the other Lennon improving the Paisley outfit. most other clubs hate Lennon for being a Catholic Ulsterman which shows exactly what is wrong in the scottish game. Personally I hate him because he was a dirty cheat, who specifically cheated against US to get Juanjo sent off.
  25. Reasonably good news for us too, as he had done pretty well on budgets in the past. 9points from 3 games for us, stepping stone to top 6.
