  1. we wont get our 90% of Rangers administrators, but we will get the x%, eventually, which will a fraction of what is owed. However I wonder if Rangers have sold all the tickets so far. They may have 1000 left, which we should demand back the unsold tickets, and al least get part of the income, even if its only another 200. Wonder how LOYAL those fans are going to be to Rangers over the next few months, with nae chance of any silverware. Having said that, if they were to somehow go on a run, and Celtic imploded, would that then be their greatest achievement
  2. staggy4life its more to do with an accurate attendance and not the usual guy with a short attention span and double vision. The real reason for the lower crowd against SPL opposition is the caravan dwellers dare not leave their wheeled domestics in the dark incase some other wheelie home dwellers decide to share their few belongings, or simply they have to share the gate receipts with the Paisley men.
  3. Something else mentioned today, the HMRC big tax case is for Rangers avoiding tax by using an offshore way of payment to their players, resulting in only around 3% tax rather than 40% tax. It is meant to be a legal loophole, and many other top football clubs in the UK use this method, but the HMRC have found a way to plug this loophole. AND many other clubs will be getting investigated for this very same thing, including all the bigger payers from both sides of the border. What I am also wondering is, will the players who gained from these offshore banking accounts, will the HMRC be chasing these guys aswell now!!
  4. This too I suspect may become an aim of several other highly in debt clubs, Hearts, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen come to mind. Radio Scotland last night were suggesting the timing of Rangers demise critically important. They accept the 10 point penaty this season, league has gone now anyway. They (Administrators) clear the debts and club moves on, having sold their major assets, but because of their higher income levels due to the 5-10 times larger crowds they trawl all other spl clubs for their better players, and combined make a challenge to Celtic. It also allows them to compete in Europe, as they will then be financially sustainable without the debt. Celtic will also be effected as their supprters will lose interest and crowds will suffer effecting their income, and with such a ridiculously huge first team they will have to take a massive lose in selling to reduce their top heavy wage bill - think they must now have around 35 high earning first team pool. However, the HMRC debt at Rangers, they were saying may be much bigger than the £49m suggested. Rangers will be in the SPL next season, that is for sure, as unfortunately scottish football does need the income they help generate, Scotland is not like Italy where if I remember right, due to financial bungs etc Fiorentina, Napoli and Torino were relegated down the leagues by the Italian FA, as they had plenty other big teams to keep interest alive. Although it would be a breath of fresh air, an SPL without some of the poison, gate receipts, tv and advertising monies, I fear it would be the straw that broke the back of the camel, with several others having to follow the Rangers admin model.
  5. Yes Chic, Grant Munro was an exceptional player for us, but the day he hit a ball through a caravan door from 50 yards I thought theres only one way we can get the north derby back, and that was to help the dwellers get up to the SP hell. However its Russeldinho that I fear will hurt us next year

  16. hahahahahahaahhahahahaahah cant see Rednapp leaving Totnam before the end of the season, and that will force Englandshire to appoint someone else for the finals. It just gets better and better

    STRIKERS!

Mahonio what are you on. Yes we could have scored more goals, but top 12 scorers in the league this season, Celtic have 2 Rangers have 2 and then only St J's Sandaza and Utd's Daly are much ahead, both on 11 goals. The rest are just a goal ahead!! Jelavic, Hooper, Daly 11, Sandaza 11, Naismith 9, Stokes 9, OConner 9, Vernon 8, Hefffernan 8, Higdon 8, then Tade 8 Shinnie 7 But read into this, suprised me a bit as for several teams seem misplaced Shots at goal this season Rangers 320, celtic 288, St midden 254, Hearts 238, Utd 235, Dons 210, Killie 209, ICT 208, Hibs 198, St j 196, Mothers 164 Pars 139 Shots on target Gers 173, Celts 156, Hearts 130, St Midden 126, Utd 113, Killie 105, Hibs 102, Mothers 98, Dons 97, ICT 96, St J 92, Pars 65 I always thought Celtic were the most attacking and "entertaining" team but over the period from 10 years its always been Rangers! This season Motherwell have been the most accurate, where as we are just among the bunch. Pars major weakness is they are shotshy On a combined ratio league should read Gers, Celts, Hearts and St Midden, Utd, Killie, Dons, Hibs, ICT , Mothers, St J AND The Pars
  18. Why would you take a knife to a game anyway, I didnt mean to just doesnt wear. Should be metal detectors for Celtic fans, but I bet our fans get searched at Parkheid - targeting the wrong people

  20. Its not just our problem ICT and in Scotland, they were saying the same thing last week with the Englandshire FA cup. Its a wearing down thing caused by the recession, banks and credit card companies being tighter with their money etc etc. 17000 at Ibrox, and over 1000 of that Arabs, thats a third of Gers showing loyalty to Craig Whyte, but Celtics league attendances have been 10-15000 down per game. English Premiership until the last two seasons were sell outs for EVERY game, not now, commentators even mentioned the empty seats at Arsenals 7-1 game. £ 20 to listen to Tic fans celebrate their rivals impending bankrupcy whilst freezing yer plums off whilst trying not to implode at the announcers impression of the Very Rev I M Jolly

  23. I would be very suprised if it is Charlie Christie's son. He will be just 16, and although a talented midfielder he would not be ready to go out on loan to any Highland league club, just yet. Will need to build up a bit more strength in his body first, as this will be his first season at under 19s level, amd they aint doing to well this year

Lennon may chose to blood a few of his new signings, as they will not know the excuse about us being so far away from Glasgee
