  1. Best by a country mile Richie Foran and Marsalla, followed by Draper, Meekings, Warren, Doran, Hayes and Mckay. Also early signs of Tremarco and Watkins Worst Stratford, Gnapka, Blumenstein, Aldred or Blackman. There has been a few really, but we remember the good signings better.
  2. I wonder if Craig Levein would be prepared to take one Richie Foran on as assitant, What may well happen is the wanted list will have two categories, those who will be free ( out oof work ) and those we would have to pay a fee for
  3. If Malpas wanted to stay, How about offering the player managers role to Richie Foran. Mo is the coach, Foran the tactician and motivator. I would be very happy with that, and I dont think Mo would be disappointed, as he is happiest on the training pitch with the players
  4. Dont think so. They are saying they will make some games free to air. How that will work I don't know unless they plan selling them to one of the freeview / freesat channels. Alex I understand that the money goes into the Bank of UEFA, but when the likes of Utd or Celtic, Arsenal or Chelsea qualify for the group stages, they are guaranteed so many £millions (about £ 10m in Celtics case ) but they always get quoted as with group stages games getting around £4 million on top in Celtics case. the likes of Man U and Barca get even more, so how much will this increase their share. 32 clubs make the group stages of the CL, with £ 300m a season more in the pot. As for the free to air thing, they do that already. Our tv in the kitchen has free view built in compared to sky in the other rooms. Sometimes when I'm flicking through the channels one by one to find something of interest, the BT channels are free to view, as I've watched a good few games on it. So thats what they may mean by making them free to air.
  5. Yep, BT have won exclusive rights to all games. think this is for European Champions League and Europa League games only. Exclusive rights, but the money is to only go to the teams competing in Europe, so it will widen the gap between the top of the league and everyone else even more. Sky still have the SPFL and Premiership deal with BT. Wonder how much the Champions League clubs will get per season? share of £900 million over 3 seasons, split between probably 8 clubs per season in the UK, £ 300 million per season, even if they get £10 -15 million more a season it will make getting into the Champions league each season even harder for those not already qualifying, and that includes us against Celtic. Whats our budget £ 3m against £ 60m, yet whats Man Utd or Real Madrid £2-300 m? Level playing fields gone forever, not that its been fair for long enough
  6. Kevin is recognised as a really good coach, but he has been given two chances as manager at Villa and Swindon and been a total disaster at both of them. Wonder if Craig Levein would consider taking Richie Foran on as Assistant, otherwise I can see Richie following Tel for a small fee. I also hope that our Board are wise enough to get a clause in the termination of Terrys contract to stop him plucking away our better players, Ie Ross, Shinnie, Mckay, Doran, Meekings, Warren, Draper, Tremarco, Raven, Polworth, etc etc
  7. Potential new managers seemingly at the game. Craig Levein and Kenny Miller, both would be impressed with Thistle, and probably thinking glad its not Hibs
  8. Reported on BBC Kenny Miller watching ICT at Easter Road today, having just recently left his team in Canada he is looking for a return to Scotland. Is he looking to return to Hibs, or could he have been invited by the ICT board. Craig Levein also at Easter Road. Personally I'd take the more experienced of the two, hands down
  9. Just to throw another name into the mix, after the mention of Barry Ferguson, who I would not be against ( as he is well respected in the game to attract better players to come to play for him ) How about Kenny Miller, as he is seemingly looking to come back to Scotland.Ideal opportunity to for a young ambitious and hungry manager, if thats what the board will be looking for.
  10. Jimmy Nicol to take the Hibees team on Saturday, no matter what happens with Terry.
  11. I do like the idea of Richie Foran player manager. As if Tel goes to Hibs, he will likely try to sign Richie at Christmas window, but who would Richie trust as an assistant,
  12. First choice would be new contracts for Tel, Mo and Steve. However if the bbc's mole is right, and Tel's agent has got involved then the list goes Kenny Shiels - you cannot be serious, get your union jacks flying Jimmy five bellies Tangerine Calderwood - does well and would do well up here, but not too popular with our support Craig Levein - best shout of experienced managers, tainted by Scotland stint, but whoever takes a chance on him will get a very very good club manager, especially when you see what benefits Dunde Utd are starting to get with his overhaul of the youth training system now producing Paul Hartley - done wonders at Alloa, but always more suited to County for me Paul Sheerin - doing well but too early for me Colin Cameron - worth a punt, doing better than Cowdenbeath can dream off Ian Murray - another good shout for me, done brilliant with The Sons, but might be too early for him Paulo di Canio - no way Tony Mowbray - Maybe worth considering, if he would consider us. Boro went a bit Brewster on him though. Ally McCoist - seems to be doing well with a new club, but question marks on whether he would move up to the SPFL, and working with a smaller budget. Chris Sutton - something makes me think he would do well, very calm deep thinker. Henrik Larsen - would be a stepping stone if he did well, but we want our managers to be successful, and inevitably they will m,ove on if that is the case Ian Holloway - would be entertaining, could we afford him, if he would come here, yes please
  13. Seen the sending off from the bbc camera angle last night. No question about the sending off, wonder if Mcnamara will be so peed off about him wrongly sent off when he see's that, instead of the Arab tv angle from the main stand. And the linesman was standing 2 foot away when he scratched across Shinnie's face from behind and then put him in a headlock. Maybe it was just because there was other incidents going on. As for Mackay Steven and Foran, GMS is getting quite a reputation for being light weight and going down looking for a BAFTA, all be it he does get a few clatterings.
  14. If we get Aberdeen would they consider Elgin, naah Tanadice I bet, St Perth same, Motherwell or Morton would be Firhill probably, and hibs hearts will be at the neutral ground nearest to the team from Edinburgh. At this point who would you prefer, obviously Morton, but realistically Hibs for me
  15. 4 bookings for us, 1 red for Terry. 8 or 9 bookings for utd, 1 red for Jackson, and a red for Ceftci for grabbing Shinnie by the throat and putting him in a headlock.
  16. better late than never, goooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaal
  17. bbc say Ceftci seemingly landed a punch for his red card
  18. bauhaus replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Prefer it is played before the transfer window re opens, like what happened last year and they went and made several signings that changed there season. They didnt have much of a defense the other night, so I hope they dont get a chance to sign anyone before we get the re match.
  19. Turriff Utd ordering a swimming pool for both boxes
  20. Haha was told that on Wednesday by one of the elgin players, never thought of reading a paper or looking online after that, twit!!!!
  21. Understand he is in advanced talks with Elgin City, Elgin seemingly confident of getting the man legend
  22. Greenhaulgh showed he can turn a player and some of his crosses were very decent, wouldn't say to much against him considering it was his first start, and its a fair jump between under 20's and 5 - 10 mins at the end of a game. One thought though, he did seem to get out muscled when in a tangle with the defenders, but if he got room the crosses were dangerous. On chances created and balance of play, still dont know how we lost, even with the ref and linesmen having a mare. Plastic Whistle played some decent footie, but so did we. Doran's dink for Greenhaugh was class, so was the trick corner, but Jesus when you see the Fox fouls they are just so pathetic, and how the ref didn't spot what was going on I dont know. Something should be done about simulation to try and stop it, and although its all about diving in the box and round the box, I didn't ever expect it to be because of a keeper diving. We will recover, and this gives Tel his team talk for Friday. Injustice, determination and correcting a wrong. By the way who is the ref on Friday!!!!!!!
  23. In lieu of Scott Fox's antics during the game today, was he just being "professional" in using the keepers protection to his advantage, or was he just pure dead cheating, as that to me appeared to be as bad as Ashley Young's simulation. Reminded me of Steven Presley and his play acting the day we got relegated. How many times did he go down holding his head, so the ref had to stop the game for a head knock. Fox fouled our player 4 times by pulling them over and acting like it was him who was fouled, should have been fouls the other way, and to my mind three penalties, but a better ref would have stopped it first time by awarding a penalty. Will the SFA pull him up for simulation? Will Euan Norris be put down the leagues to ref next week ? I doubt either will happen, but if we were Celtic, there would be such a song and dance about this
  24. Partick 2-1 up. We are getting robbed by the ref and the Partick keeper, every corner he is conning the ref by grabbing one of our players and falling down like he is being fouled when its our player getting fouled. 4 times i've counted him doing it
  25. Just said on Sky after checking the rule book the goal should have stood, as after the ball has been touched it does not have to leave the corner quadrent to be in play. You can also see beforehand Draper saying to the linesman he had already touched it, and then saying to Doran that he had already taken it. If the Linesman thought it was wrong he should have flagged at Doran's second touch. Ref and Linesman don't know the rules they are enforcing, crap in it.
