  1. Would the panel not sit this Thursday, after the Hibs Game, hence if they lost the appeal they would be banned for the final. So p and j said today. But what I cant understand is Celtic appealing van Dijk's red card, the appeal wasnt to be heard that week!!!!!!
  2. I think it is more likely that one day we'll find out that the team was on the pay of an Asian betting syndicate! I'm not being serious, but if ever there was an ICT game that we tried to lose, it was this one. Defender & keeper contrive to give away 2 early goals, unnecessary penalty next, then 2 players get themselves sent off. Neither of those tackles was a red - Tansey pulled out and dropped his foot, and Watkins didn't touch the player, only the ball. That clown of a referee bought the dives. I hope Hughes brings in a ballet teacher to train the players in tragic, twisting aerial dives for the final.... Seen them both on tv now. Tansey did pull out of the tackle, although it did still catch the guy, Yellow card only. Watkins won the ball fairly, and was the victim of an Oscar winning dive and acting. Did not make a bit of difference to the final score, but I hate todays ref from previous games. Maybe it was the ref who was paid from the far East and not our players. Needed to get the poor performances out of the way before next weekend
  3. Didn't think it was a foul. Keeper got it wrong and was beat by him trying to catch the ball and not punch it. However, Rovers should have nothing to fear in the replay. Rover for the cup.
  4. Given that we are still some way from selling out our initial allocation despite being on general sale for over a week, we can't really complain if the Dons are now given the upper tier which had previously been provisionally reserved for us. Better that and generating revenue for both clubs than sitting empty with some Aberdeen fans either buying ICT tickets or missing out altogether. I don't have a problem with them getting extra tickets for the game as you said it's more revenue for the club which I can't dispute that but the point I am making is that if they were given the upper tier of the Lisbon Lions stand then it just leaves the possibility of things being thrown down on us - just take the Neil Lennon example at Tynecastle. If Aberdeen fans need more tickets then the SPFL should give them the usual away end. Just bought our tickets on Tuesday, and behind the goals were almost completely out. Only couple of poor view rows directly behind the goal, so going to be in the traditional away end, and they were getting towards having restricted view seats only, so think we are getting towards selling out our allocation too. It was on Radio Scotland tonight saying Sheep have 700 tickets left from there 40,000. They reckon they have sold so many as the sheep have been starved of success and they think they just need to turn up against us
  5. Lets just hope he was sacrificed and not injured, 17 mins he lasted
  6. I've to still get my tickets. Waiting to find out if my sons can both come. One is meant to start a new job getting trained in Stoke on Monday morning, and might be getting flown down from Inverness to Birmingham on Sunday. My other lad is meant to be working until noon on the day because his boss is away on holiday, but he is trying to arrange starting work at midnight and not 5am. Hoping its 6 of us going.
  7. Never had an issue with Pat Nevin, certainly doesnt seem to favour the old firm the way others do. Steven Thompson has to stick up for his team mate, although he makes it very difficult to defend sometimes. Second incident pointed out last night with the clash of heads in the county midden game was accidental, although you would think by Adams reaction that Goodwin had slashed De Leuuws throat. Goodwin is a nasty piece of work though
  8. several potential 'groups of death' in there, and possible much easier groups. We just want a decent chance, Greece, Hungary, Norway/Israel, Scotland and Andorra/San Marino/Gibralter would be as good as we could get in suppose. What would the chances be. One things for sure, Scotlands named ball will not be heated like some compititions.Saying that getting Germany or Spain wouldnt be a bad thing as it would remove all 6 potential points from the others, whereas England seem liable to drop points all over the place Saying that we could get Holland, Belgium, Turkey, Iceland and Kazakstan.
  9. to take Jose at Chelsea at his best, we are a good horse, but they are a thoroughbred, the thoroughbred normally wins, it is too early for our team of good improving horses. I would say that Aberdeen are the Hamp sheep, or similar, but it would be very unfair to call our players after a breed of sheep
  10. Like Caley D's positioning of the logos, ok with the wording, but we are best known for the red and blue stripes, not panel colours. Does it not look good with the CJT and CTO logos together?
  11. Luis Suarez might give us a selection headache, aswell as a bank problem
  12. The Rangers will come unstuck as soon as they face a Premiership side whether at Ibrox or not. Ian Black would put money on it. Kingsmills, unfortunately I can see them winning it. However, I hope its us who stop them

Fenlons record was better than Butchers has been at Hibs, over the same amount of games, Was on the radio yesterday, before the cup game, so I can see a lot of pressure coming from the stands now the honeymoon period is well and truly over. Lost 5 on the bounce now
  14. And the £ 83,000 gets split between the two clubs.
  15. Aberdeen and Rangers have both practically got a bye into the semi finals, and with Ibrox chosen for both semi finals Rangers might be thinking they have one foot in the final, unless they get Aberdeen. Raith will have a decent chance against Perth. As for ourselves, it depends on which Dundee United we are playing - the current one or the one from before Xmas, and if they have their divers on full show that day I will say its ICT, Aberdeen, Rangers and Raith for the semi's at the moment
  16. Awesome, just bloody well awesome. 14 heroes, as Warren and Meekings still played a part big style. Over the moon that it was an Invernessian that scored in the 94th minute. Although we had the better chances when down to 10, and then 9. #nameisonthecup
  17. Released again from Romanian club Cluj, blaming the Romanian media for not giving foreigners a chance. Might not get back over here with the Con-Dem government preventing incomers from Romania from claiming benefits or housing.
  18. Hope he does well. Think one of the first things he needs to do is get more locally based players, as I'm sure not training together dont help. Half the squad are based down south in the central belt. He will likely come calling with his connections with us looking for some of our youngsters to get experience.
  19. Good to see Hearts have Adams seething again. Will he want that game on Tuesday now???
  20. Seem to remember being at quite a number of finals with happy memories
  21. Thought I had been smoking something when I heard this. Hope ICT turns out to be the right joint for him. And yes I can remember him ripping us a new a hole on more than one occassion. Think it would be good for our forward thinking players, you never now Dwight Yorke might turn up to do some training with the forwards too, best friends I seem to recall
  22. Hearts should have been relegated like Rangers, I have very little sympathy for them, or Dundee for that matter. It will not be right at all if they manage to wangle there way to sign players, but if they do they should not be eligible for the cup semi.
  23. We are going through a poor patch, but today also showed how much Richie Foran drives our team on the pitch.
  24. bauhaus replied to Tob's topic in Caley Thistle
Williams showed more hunger and determination than most if not all of our team today. He covered the pitch like Foran would, only Richie has more experience in that role.
