  1. Errr excuse for being ignorant..what is ' a wee feely ' ? if i've had one already sorry.. if its something Tmftj got in exchange for a filing cabinet, i dont want to know.
  2. Which brings me to a thread which oldies and lovers of old ( and much copied ) music can post their fav's. After a trip to and from Livvy last week listening to TMFTJ's rock guitar selections i think we should post our favorite bands/music. Personally, i went through the Black Sabbath type stuff, mellowed a bit and now still listen to Talking Heads, Stones, beatles, and lots of rock stuff too varied to mention.
  3. Nice to be optomistic Alex!! Cant see us averaging 7.5k crowds, with the wages we pay, we cant afford top quality ( for Scotland ) players. Therefore i can see us maintaining a lower middle SPL status, unless of course we can get a multi millionaire to bank roll us.. what happened to the Al Fayed rumour?
  4. Have to say i'd be more worried about losing Dargo than Black, goalscorers who hit the net as much as Dargo are more valuable to us. CC says that he and Parkie have identified 2-3 players they want to bring in during the close season to fill area's they see as needing improvement.
  5. Worth a ****-of-alot more than £50k in my mind, but as with the other players they are all contracted for at least another year, and so will cost money. CC says in the P&J that he is confident of keeping the same squad for next season. Now, if this is what CC thinks fair enough, but how do we progress from this season? do we need better players, does he need to sort out home form? does he need more ftom the players that are there? If his ambition is purely to stay in the SPL, we have the squad to do it, thats all.
  6. Surely Rossco's totally unexpected overhead kick vs Dee Utd deserves the title! Never see that again!
  7. So do we think that Russel Duncan is chuffed at being offered a new contract? Did he wonder if he was in line for a shunt? Every team needs a midfield grafter, but a grafter that can pass is a bonus!
  8. Dougie Macdonald is a feckin waster as well.... not quite up to Calum uselessbassa Murray though. At least Macdonald tries to let the game flow before he makes sh1t decisions.
  9. As long as they put a clause in the contract for extra passing practice every day. Up to the Motherwell / Dons / Livvy games he was much improved, but fell back into his old ways with some woeful passes - in my mind he was at fault for Livvy's equaliser last Saturday. Th P & J had also thought there might be a bit of a squad breakup this summer, we will just have to wait and see.
  10. Hiring a bath.. never did that but the baths were huge not like the wee bowls we have now! Remember once my mate forgot his trunks, had to hire a pair from the office, he appeared out of the cubicles with what looked like a large woolen blanket wrapped round his midriff ! swimming up the pool he was slowly getting lower and lower as the blanket/trunks must have weighed about 20 lbs when it got wet!
  11. Saw a photo the other day of the inside of the old baths. The cubicles with wooden doors made me laugh, but what jogged my memory was the wire baskets for all your gear, which you handed to a guy at a counter, each basket had a number which was completely forgotten of course. To tell the bloke you'd forgotten the number was met with a clip on the ear and a drag round the room to claim your basket.
  12. The Hayloft was a great hang out of mine, downstairs if you like the Stones, Bowie and anything rockin... upstairs for posing and birds. Being sick on the stairs... Forgot it got called the gateway for a while, but it was never the same.
  13. George Adams was on the radio today claiming that they had some 'big' names interested, despite the fact they were broke... aye what he meany was long names... skiateous strapadicktome.!
  14. ' Don't get behind the team for 90 minutes then boo them as they come off.' I heard the boo's and assumed that it was directed towards the ref? Mcallister was gash for the reserves the previous tues vs Dons, but as it has been said, he was cold and never got much chance top 'warm' to the pace which was shown by some clumsy touches, he did well with a glancing header which was not far away. Undecided about him.
  15. Fair comments EWS, it all boils down to the officals needing to make quick decisions which are in the main accurate. The Killie incident was down to the ***.ref not paying attention to what was happening, the game passed him by, and it looked to me that he raised his flag out of the defenders reaction. The one at Livvy last saturday was just a sh1t decision from one of a poor set of officials.
  16. Welcome back travelling teech. The tea/coffee was meant to be sent to tmftj as i was in the Q at half time at Livvy, hope it didnt cost you! if it did Naelifts will buy you a beer. Talking about old farts has he not registered for this forum yet?
  17. Depends on what you want to spend Rig, i have a few local contacts for cheap / cheapish cars with full mot's for anything from £500 - £1000 Let me know if you want advise/help galaxyno1@btinternet.com
  18. Crusher... aye the last time he was in the Innes he sat on me packet of crisps!!
  19. All very well to say we can gain £350-400 k for these players, would all the money go to CC and DP to replace them? Has the grocer the money to pay these guys, pay us transfer fees and pay off Richie etc etc.
  20. 'At least we can go and get hammered at Dunfy with our pals the Pars on the last day of the season!' As long as you aint sick...eh, Don and I are planning it.
  21. BBC website says ***.ref Frank Cole admits he was wrong to flag Naismith offside, therefore costing Killie a goal and equaliser vs Celtic. Jeffries says that the officials should be disciplined if proved to be making wrong decisons. The linesman claimed it was a 'tight' call, anyone who was at the Livvy game on saturday will have witnessed what to me was the worst offside call in memory flagging Barry offside when he was about 2 yards onside when the ball was kicked. Who knows, Barry was well clear when the kn0b raised the flag. :x
  22. Well done Don!!! Knew you'd be good for something
  23. Its like everything new..its takes a while, i think the format is very good, if any users here post on Pie & Bovril it seems to be similar type of page.
  24. How can you say that RJ? he got you to the cup qtr final, surely that deserves another 3 years on the contract?
  25. Been watching tinks2 since brick Irvine went there, he's tightened up the defence and they are scoring goals. Kind of daft that they are 18 points behing Berwick and could still end up getting promoted instead of them!!
