  1. So, how much has this title race captured the imagination of the nation? It will be interesting to see the viewing figures. How many of you will watch this? I am really looking forward to it and would love for Arbroath to pull it off. I feel the pressure is on Killie big time. Lets hope it lives up to the billing
  2. Enjoyed last night......from a social point of view. Queens came out of the traps fast and had at least 3 good chances prior to their opening goal. After Chalmers response the game settled into mediocrity and the conversation flowed. Subjects swung from World Cups 74 and 78; Chatlie Watts and his influence; the location of Mantis' jacket (now reunited) and of course, that old chestnut, mountain ranges in the north of Greece. I see nothing wrong with driving through the night to have a blether with some old pals. If you want to know what happened on the pitch........sorry.
  3. So, let me get this right. Some of our players aren't good enough. Your solution is to sell our best players!

    Big Stew

Lovely words Scotty. I had heard. Stew was an institution and, like everyone has said, was friendly, kind and generous of heart. When Wanderer and myself started pitching up at the Caley Inn he was one of the first to "break the ice " and welcome us into the fold......wow, quarter of a century ago!......and when you opened the door at the Innes and saw Stew and the crew you knew you were in the right place. The scarf draped across the seat is so poignant. So sorry for your loss Scotty .....if I close my eyes and think of the Innes , Stew will always be there.
  5. Weve had chances. Thought Mackay chickened out when 1 on 1
  6. Ouch........disappointing goals conceded to say the least
  7. And any number of clubs could finish 2nd bottom of Premier
  8. ah yes. also remember it quite well. those were good days
  9. Steady boys. Composure. You are well on top and getting into good positions.
  10. Given what we have been watching for the last few months it goes without saying that confidence within the support of any result is weak to say the least. Does this extend to the players and those in charge? We will find out. Looking at the remaining fixtures it is hard to see any guaranteed points. Arbroath up next unfortunately ......I say that because any points we do gain from this will be to the detriment of a team which has rightly gained universal plaudits. Its just the sort of game that we could do well in when least expected and this would benefit Killie who we still have to face. Away to fellow strugglers Raith on the 19th looks key. We also face a resurgent Ayr, Morton and Hamilton.........it looks super-tough but anything short of a top four finish would be a disgrace given where we were a few short months ago. In short every game is a cup final and I do feel that, should we achieve a play-off place then we have as good a chance as any. All is not lost then but it comes down to the attitude and will of the ICT machine to pull this off. The support will play a part and, hard as it is to turn out these days, a noisy backing for the team could constitute the mythical 12th man. So.....for the last time.......Come On Caley, give us what we deserve.
  11. Well according to Our manager everyone is buzzing in training. So what are they practicing? So many incompleted passes and still hoof hoof hoof
  12. Amazing. I was just away to type......Sunday League team ...
  13. Oh yes. Had a decent bet on the lads that day. Rangers equalised late as I remember seemingly dashing my dreams.........and then that moment. As you say.............it seems like a long time ago
  14. Bingham for sure. Maybe Stewarty. Possibly Mark brown. Mann / Granty and Russeldinho Toooo difficult!!
  15. A lot of venom here. I must point out however that we are a very small percentage of the support. Significant amounts appear to have voted with their feet on the other hand and the bean counters must be concerned. It is inconceivable to me that the club havent issued a rallying call coupled with promises of action on and off the park.....even some incentives to encourage attendance. To do and say nothing is shameful.
  16. Failure from top to bottom. I've no idea what the answer is
  17. We require a Morton-style, confidence -building, crowd-pleasing big win to get us back on track. Killie and Raith to knock each other out. I fear however that the weather will play a part in the weekends fixture list..........travelling may be an issue
