New announcer dude on the park
I think it was as it made him stand out more, and it was a bit of a moral boost! I don't think he needed a hideous tie-dyed t-shirt to stand out...

Booing
Those of you still arguing that you should be allowed to boo your own team are fecking dense b*stards. Of course you should be allowed to - you should just have the common sense not to. Get a grip. You are all exactly what we don't need this season.

Booing
 Today at TCS we kicked off our first home match back in division 1. Today at Ibrox they unfurled the Championship flag, kind of blows your argument out of the water? Em no it doesn't. I am referring to the attitude that we should walk EVERY single game we play. It is a common Hun trait that any disappointment in their team's outings ends in either an out-break of violence or a call for the head of the manager. I am hinting that if we assume we are going to win every single game we play then we are no better than them and hold a similar attitude to the blue-filth-faithful. And George I don't give a sh*t if you didn't enjoy the game or the result, it is just common courtesy to not boo your team off the pitch. You don't have to clap (which by the way I did - thank you for the suggestion) but booing your own team is a form of negativity which helps nobody but the nine other teams in the league.

Fair play to you CaleyD. That was far more entertaining than the stadium announcing has been. The sound was also much better from the mic on the pitch - keep it up!

Booing
I have to whole-heartedly agree with this thread. Booing a team off the pitch when you are there to support them is f*cking ludicrous. If you want to show up to a football match on a Saturday to vent then f*ck off to the other side of the bridge or sit in the away end because you are NOT contributing positively to ICT at all. We can win the league this season but we are never going to win every game and it is going to be very hard going - if you can't handle disappointment without expelling the sound of a dying cow then football spectatorship is not the hobby for you. The role of the supporters is to back and encourage their team's players not to try and break their spirits when a result doesn't go their way. This booing coupled with that ****** at half time who urged Butcher to "get his finger out" when we had a very promising first half are prime examples of what is wrong with football - the kind of attitudes which are native to Ibrox. GET BEHIND THE F*CKING TEAM OR STAY AT HOME.

Shooting Practice?
And up until 3pm this afternoon..it was highly relevant! One swallow doth not a summer make You're obviously not up to date with your pre-season results if you believe we weren't scoring before 3pm against Annan.

Caley Stadium
It's hard to be a united support when so many Main Stand regulars seem to be hell-bent on crushing the spirits of our players. I was honestly expecting the chaps behind me on Saturday to pull out white pillow cases and a rope with all the abuse they were giving poor Lionel (a prime example of a good regular first team player who is constantly criticized both on and off the pitch) who I felt played perfectly well in what was a solid team performance.

Stadium Announcer
Aye fair play CaleyD for doing the whole thing for free, it is one less thing the club has to worry about paying for. The facts are however that you appear to have about as much charisma as a potato, you warp every sentence you speak over that tinny PA system into a bemusing squeal and you provide absolutely NO banter; maybe the crowd will start to "Work Together" with you if you take the leap and start providing some entertainment.

Shooting Practice?
This thread is proving itself redundant given that we just won 4-0.

So....
Yes we will go straight back. The new boys will do the business. I BELIEVE

Great performance from everyone tonight for the majority of the game. The score line was more than flattering. Eagle will set Division 1 alight. BRING ON THE ANNAN!

Delusions of grandeur
For once I totally agree with you IHE. We need to get behind the team, especially if we take a few games to get to grips with the SFL - the spirit of the supporters played a huge part in our Division one winning season and it will be vital again if we hope to stand a chance in winning what is a highly competitive league.

New Striker
That was those two Slovakians who played in the recent friendly. Butcher said he didn't rate them. Hopefully we are able to land Sanchez then, although if I had offers from ICT and any Spanish team for the same amount of wages it would really be a no-brainer.
-
New Striker
According to the papers last week, he is competing with a Spanish club to agree terms with ex-trialist Sanchez and he has two Eastern European strikers on trial at the moment. He is trying to get strikers in from richer sources than a team who were playing division 2 football last year. After signing Barrowman I don't think we should look at County for goal-scorers until totally desperate.

Nick Ross
Aye that was Cox. I totally agree with your enthusiasm for Nick Ross. He was good on the ball even though he is lacking slightly in physicality and he's surely one to watch in the next few years.

Matchday Thread: ICT -V- Montrose
Bloody terrible game but it's early days yet. I think the game on Tuesday will be a better means of judging how well the team are capable of playing together as they clearly underestimated which (to be fair to them) was a reasonably good third division side. Enough of this slagging players so early on, give them time to adjust to the new squad and get back into the swing of playing competitive football after an incredibly draining season - if we aren't mounting a considerable title threat by Christmas then it's time to start girning.

away kit for 2 years time
Rosscoe is the man's nickname. How many different topics must end with this spiral of incredibly sh*te patter?

The new strip is sexy. This thread is ****.

Who will be relegated from the SPL
Falkirk. I sincerely hope they get relegated for 3 consecutive seasons.

Can We Compete With Dundee?
There's only one team we need to worry about and that's ICT. We have the ability to comfortably compete with any team in the 1st Division if we play to our full potential. We need to spend the season getting behind them and stop worrying about Dundee and their cash-splashing on Scotland's most talented mediocre footballers.
