Pre-season is all about raising fitness and moral. If the players get a decent run-out and win the match comfortably it boosts them mentally and physically ahead of competitive matches that actually matter. Besides who wants to watch Caley get humped all through pre-season on the back of such a cripplingly painful season in the SPL?!

I didn't make the game tonight, anyone know what the Elgin goal was like? I know it's only a pre-season and it's early days yet, but the fact we've let in goals against Clach and Elgin is fairly disgusting. I hope this isn't an indication of things to come!

He is no more irrational a defender than any of our others! I love the lot of them and their spirit for the club but they all make mistakes!!

Season ticket holder and away game traveller here. Zebidee has flair and pace to match. He will do the business next season. He has made a few nervous errors - probably down to the way people (including a large amount of the forum) are so quick to point the finger at him and blame him. Get off the mans back and see how he fairs against first division opponents.

Rossco will no doubt be a centre half as we have all learned the hard way that it is where Terry likes to play him! Proctor is as is Coxy (apparently), a versatile player who can play defensively or as a midfielder. I think this signing just gives us plenty more tactical options in defense.

Get it up you Mikey Fraser. I bet Motherwell are regretting signing you already.

Why do you think that? Has Grant not shown the same loyalty and passion? What about Russell has he not? Do you know what makes a good captain? :D I would stick with Grant, unless he felt it was right for him to pass it on. Largely based on his performances last season i think he is a less capable defender than Rosscoe and he gave away a multitude of goals due to poor organization of his back four. Surely if you're going to captain other members of the squad shouldn't you at least be comfortable with your own position first? I think if his captaincy was stripped he might up his game with less responsibility and serve as a better defender. He is a loyal servant to the club but I think Rosscoe would make a considerably better captain as his passion is very visual and apparent when he's on the pitch - if his team-mates see this he could prove a better motivator to these on-field players than Grant who spends the majority of matches looking like a bewildered tortoise.

He's a hero. Hope he scores the goal that gains us SPL promotion! That would get it right up a few of you Lionel-hating Anti-Zadis on here.

Got to be Rosscoe, but anyone other than Granty would be an improvement.

Lionel is a hero as is Proc. I'm delighted we're keeping the pair of them! Zadi will hopefully get a chance to prove himself on the left wing without as many defensive responsibilities!
