  1. Rather like pre derby banter, Dingwall Sheriff Court is no more.
  2. Of that there is no doubt. If you can only make one more match this season make it this one.
  3. Word is that Davies has recovered and will be fit to play.
  4. That could do with a blue armband for the Caley fans
  5. I hope so. In my view, 'Pride of the Highlands' is great for a flag or banner but not at all appropriate for our official club crest.
  6. With black collar and cuffs. Great and unique design and fully reflects our heritage.
  7. I sincerely hope that, as part of the agreement, they are undertaking to give us greater priority when it comes to delivery dates than they did in the past.
  8. If the County manager is still talking about top six rather than appreciating that, after an abysmal run of form, they are battling to stay in the division that should suit us just fine. Be in no doubt, this is a relegation battle for both teams. We appreciate that. It appears that County don't.
  9. The sooner Strachan is replaced and takes McGhee with him, the sooner the international team can start properly preparing for the next round of Euro qualifiers.
  10. The stark truth is that, so far this season, the Highlands have been theirs. However, Saturday represents an opportunity to put things right. Win and we reduce the gap to a single point with the momentum with us. Lose and County are a massive 7 points ahead of us and a four horse race to steer clear of the relegation places could well become a straight battle between us and Hamilton for who is relegated automatically and who lives to fight again by way of the play off. Possibly the most important Highland derby in our history. If ever the club needed a twelfth man in the form of packed and noisily supportive Main and North Stands it is on Saturday.
  11. Not convinced about should but, if we play well and minimise the defensive errors, we certainly could.
  12. Some people seem to forget just how dangerous and effective he could be before the series of injuries blighted him.
  13. That is harsh and unfair. He has not chosen to spend so much of his career on the treatment table and such an unsympathetic post is really unhelpful. personally, I would like to wish him a speedy recovery and would be delighted to see a fit Aaron Dorian back at the club next season. If he had been fully fit all this season I doubt very much we'd be where we are now.
  14. The fact is our next two games are ones we are perfectly capable of winning. Six points and things will look a great deal brighter. Anything less than four and it could look pretty grim. We cannot afford to be even remotely detached at the bottom come the split.
  15. The trouble is that the obvious next in line, who is a very promising young 'keeper, is out on loan at Elgin. That said, while OFW still has a lapse or two in him, he seems to be in better form than a month or so ago and is probably the best available.
  16. There is a big difference between leavening out players and ostracising them. All managers have to leave out players it's part of the game from amateur level up. The latter is poor man management and an bullying pure and simple. The fact that we are still discussing JH in these terms is evidence of just what a divisive figure he was notwithstanding his undeniable successes with us.
  17. It was a disappointing performance and it's fair to say that other midweek results could hardly have been worse from our point of view. However, we need to look at the positives. None of our relegation rivals are likely to take anything from Celtic, many of them will have to play them again whereas we will not have to face them again this season. On our day, we are capable of taking something from every other opponent we have to play this season and, if we put last night behind us and play with the form and spirit we displayed against Hearts and The Rangers we will. Challenging weeks ahead but challenges that, if we all pull together, we can overcome.
  18. How odd indeed that in a thread titled 'Our Former Managers' there should be a discussion about our most recent former manager.
  19. I know. Maybe this forum should be closed down to prevent any such disgraceful and disloyal behaviour in the future. Alternatively such analysis could be dismissed by loud and persistent cries of 'False News !'.
  20. They asked the SPFL to postpone the game which was refused but at no point did they ask for permission for a limited term emergency loan which, given established precedents, would almost certainly have been granted. To be fair, we don't know if that was Yogi's doing but it does seem an extraordinary omission.
  21. There is a happy medium. If we play our strongest team and are fully committed there is no reason why we can't take our second point of the season against Celtic and that point could prove crucial come the end of the season.
  22. Well, that didn't turn out so badly after all.
  23. There are many legitimate reasons for dropping or resting players. There is never a justifiable reason for anyone in a management position snubbing, denigrating or ignoring a colleague.
  24. They have club stalwart Stephen Craigan on their coaching staff. I suspect he may be entrusted with the role until the end of the season. It's not clear whether that will be good or bad for us . On the other hand, if we continue to play as we did on Friday we will pull clear anyway irrespective of what others around us do.
  25. Motherwell have just parted company with their manager. Let's hope that it does them little good and that we are rewarded for showing faith in and backing ours.
