  1. Form lost, confidence poor. Another hiding from Motherwell on the cards followed by a steady slide down the table. Thank goodness for Dundee.
  2. Can't help agreeing. Holding on to second place is going to be impossible with this run of form. Frankly, beginning to doubt top six at this rate.
  3. Looks like it was an easy game for Man United.
  4. Maybe so but still pleased he is no longer associated with ICT.
  5. To be fair, the allegation of assault with a racial element which he was charged with at Aberdeen Sheriff Court was dropped without ever going to trial. That said, I understand that he was released due to personality issues rather than playing ability.

Tough call but on balace I would go with Esson. We are fortunate to have two competent 'keepers.

We might have signed someone had we the income from a league cup final. Saturday's defeat probably makes that much less likely.

If the club have indeed capitulated without seeing evidence that the ban was served at a specific match then I am more than disappointed. If that is the case, they have let the fans down extremely badly.

I am assuming before Butcher made that statement that the club have now been furnished with evidence that the ban was served in a specific match. Surely; that evidence should now be placed in the public domain, Even if that is the case, the ban was imposed by the SFA and was competition specific. Breathtaking arrogance on the part of the English FA, to ignore that just because they don't operate similar rules.

We have been fighting an uphill battle all along. Doesn't mean we are not in the right.

but only if there was a record of a match in which he served his suspension which we have yet to see in the case of Danny Wilson.

Unless the SFA can provide written records from their English counterparts proving that the ban was served at a specific fixture then there is no doubt whatsoever that Danny Wilson was ineligible and should not have played. As has been pointed out in this thread, it was hardly as if he was a bit player in the match making crucial contributions at both ends of the pitch. Even with St Mirren, rather than Celtic, making the final this gaffe has the potential to cost the club in excess of quarter of a million pounds and should not be left to rest now, certainly not on the bland statement of an unnamed SFA spokesman not backed up by a shred of proof.
  13. Definately not Castle Greyskull....

Am I right in thinking that, notwithstanding the heat generated in this forum, the club have not raised this issue formally with anyone ?
  15. Have in mind the Bridge Street bridge given it's proximity to the castle.

Should not read anything into the opinion of Ewan Murray aka Squirrel. Just read his match report in the Observer. One paragraph reads " It was an embarrassment for Inverness as a city, Caledonian Thistle as a club and Scottish football in general that such a pitifully low number of supporters arrived for (sic) the north for this game. It marked only a second appearance for Inverness in a national semi-final. Butcher's work deserves greater recognition from supporters"

For the first time find myself in agreement with the rodent journalist. Danny Wilson's dismissal against St Mirren was a straight red so he would have served his suspension in the next league match.
  18. Okay, yesterday was a massive disappointment. The team underperformed, our star striker was badly off form and we lost out in the lottery of a penalty shoot out. However, we still have a great opportunity of a day in the sun at the National Stadium and that in the biggest domestic cup competition of all. The team are capable, they owe it to themselves and to the fans to make amends and go all the way in the Scottish Cup and crown this special season in style. We have all had the opportunity to have our say on the events at Easter Road but that is done and gone now. Time to get behind the next cup campaign and right yesterday's wrong starting at Rugby Park next week.
  19. In front of a few hundred fans. Yesterday was a very different set of circumstances.
  20. Expect a tough game on Wednesday. St Mirren were a tad unfortunate to take just a point last time around at the TCS. Just how many times did they hit the woodwork that day ? Judging from today's performance they have made very good signings in Newton and Gonclaves. They might well also be fresher than us having played 30 minutes less albeit a day later. We will have to be at our best to go away from Paisley with three points.
  21. The pressure got to Roberts but I don't blame the lad himself. Fifth penalty taker in a shootout is always likely to be crucial and heap pressure on the player. Young Philip wilted under that pressure but the blame lies with whoever thought it was a good idea for our youngest and least experienced player to be put in that position in the first place. Feel great sympathy for the boy.
  22. Does the original poster now want to reconsider ?
  23. Kingsmills replied to davie's topic in Caley Thistle
I agree entirely with the original poster. Sincerely hope the culprits are caught this time and that any punishment includes a football banning order.
  24. Agree we froze. We effectively lost the game when we went 1-0 up and then stopped doing the things that got us there. The prospect of a Hampden final seemed to loom too large our players froze and we allowed Hearts to come on to us.
  25. Trouble is that it would't even be filled with Celtic fans.
