  1. Moved to Rumours.
  2. The fact that he is the son of a Swansea City director makes it all the more embarrassing. I like the fact that the English League Cup semis are played over two legs home and away. Maybe something we could look at copying here.
  3. Showed a positive side to the man all to rarely aired.

Still, to be fair, who else in the world could attract crowds of tens of thousands to watch a protracted game of rounders ?
  5. Maybe only for a couple of dozen hours. So far, St Mirren have shifted fewer tickets than we have.
  6. Agree with that. Apart from Barry and Don Cowie there are not that many of our former players who have gone on to bigger and better things.
  7. Never mind, if the game is postponed we can always revert to moaning about ticket sales.
  8. Looking at it another way, we took more than 3 times our then average home support to each of our Scottish Cup semi finals but can manage only a multiple of less than 1 on Saturday. Disappointing in my book especially when the team is going so well. Just as disappointing, given that income from the two semis is pooled and split 4 ways, is that the greatest fans in the world are displaying their usual loyalty to the domestic game. Apparently, only roughly 13,000 tickets have been sold so far for the Hampden tie between two clubs within comfortable cycling distance from the stadium.
  9. Really can't see hughmonty's point.
  10. Must be a middle age thing but can someone recommend somewhere I can have my hearing tested and, if necessary have aids fitted ? Yesterday some softly spoken person said something to me and, for a moment at least, it sounded, for all the world, as though he said that Mark Brown had saved a penalty.
  11. I agree with Mantis !
  12. Agree wholeheartedly..
  13. He was looking after his own interests as he is entitled to do. Football is not a hobby for him but a career and a short lived one at that.
  14. In what way did he treat us like dirt ?

I think Oddquine has made a good point.
  16. Indeed. Playing football is what Andrew does for a living and doubling his salary would represent a stepup in my book.
  17. The club would settle for " a large amount of glory hunters".
  18. Would be a pity to see him go but we cannot afford to break the wage structure.
  19. Can you imagine the whinging from the central belt if teams had to travel to Brora twice a season.
  20. Am closing this thread as it appears to have degenerated into a vehicle for two posters to exchange insults with one another.
  21. As you have just discovered Luke, aparently it does matter.
  22. General apathy apart, sadly the climate is not always condusive to cricket even in the summer. That sid, Inverness has two cricket clubs playing in a North of Scotland league. Both have enjoyed some success over the years.

I suspect if we progress to the League Cup Final we may see another signing or two to bolster the squad for the run in. If not, I believe we will have to make do with what we have and hope for not too many injuries or suspensions.
  24. Good news but is he fit to play or just back in training ? However, for a youngster thrown in at the deep end, Cooper has held his own.
  25. So now just like the Welsh Premiership you only get one spot, thats wrong Not wrong, unfortunately. We are precisely where we deserve to be in terms of the rules. As someone who is old enough to remember when Scottish clubs, not just the Old Firm, were challenging for European silverware it saddens me greatly.
